Chapter 180: Chapter 179: Seeing people of another race 3

They all went to one of the big buildings near the top of the area where they were living.

The buildings near the top of the forest were probably not just houses but used for gathering, as well as being the place where their leaders were.

Storm had just been hovering outside of the area and hadn’t crossed into the place where the people were staying.

But even though they were hovering outside, they could still properly observe what was happening with the help of the zoom function of Storm’s cameras.

It was also the same with the sound; they could still hear what the others were talking about because Storm could still pick up their sounds properly.

Of course, Storm could also already pick up the conversations of other people, but he wasn’t playing them; he was just analyzing them together with the conversations of the people that they were observing.

As for Ryzel and Layton, they were just analyzing the conversations of the people they were observing with other people that were in the building they had entered.

They still hadn’t understood anything properly, but it was still obvious from their tone that they were reporting what they had done and gathered.

While listening to their conversation, Ryzel was also looking at the zoomed areas that Storm was displaying. Ryzel could see that there were at least three prominent roles for the people in their society, which was obvious through the markings on their clothes and arms.

All the people that were gathering had almost the same mark; the warriors that they saw at the edges also had almost the same mark and clothes as the others, and another group of people also had almost the same mark and clothing.

Of course, there were also a few who had different marks and clothes, but Ryzel could see that there were only a few of them, so they probably had special roles or were in higher positions.

And according to the data and clear images that Storm was showing them, there were only about 500 people living in the forest area.

Compared to the general size of populations staying in different places in the Federation, the population of the people living in the forest was very small.

With their small population, it was really very easy to see their differences and guess some of their distribution of roles, even though they couldn’t understand their language yet.

They stayed observing them and listening to the conversation of the people that they had followed for 30 minutes, and after 30 minutes, Storm finally had a list of words with proper translations based on the data that it had gathered from the conversations and images of all the people in the forest.

Aside from the list of words with proper translations, Storm had actually finished translating the conversations that had taken place in different places with the proper letters according to their sounds and based on the list of words that he had made.

Unfortunately, even though they already knew the words and could read them in the language of the people in the forest, they still didn’t know all their meanings, as Storm was still trying to gather data from various conversations that were taking place in the forest area.

As for the words that were listed by Storm, they had further helped them understand some of the words that the people they had followed were saying.

Ryzel also understood that some of the words that they were frequently saying and adding were indeed there for politeness and really weren’t part of their names at all. And most of the words that were frequently used were probably connecting words, just like ’and, is, at,’ and other words.

After 20 minutes in the building, the people that they had followed finally left the building and went somewhere else. After a few minutes, it was clear that they were all going back to their homes because they went their separate ways and entered different small houses that weren’t that far from each other. Some were alone in their houses, and some had other people in them.

Even though they still couldn’t see them clearly anymore, they were still the main focus of their observation; but of course, they also didn’t neglect looking around other places and observing those that they could clearly see outside.

From that day onwards, they continued observing the people that were living in the forest area continuously for a week without leaving for long.

And after a week, they could finally fully understand what the people of the forest were talking about.

Storm had continuously added words to the list that he created until they finally understood most of the words that the people of the forest were saying.

Of course, there were still some words that they couldn’t understand because they didn’t know what they meant, as those words were rarely mentioned by the people of the forest. But at least they could already understand almost all the conversations that the people of the forest were having.

And because they finally understood what was being said, they finally had a general understanding of the people living in the forest.

The people living in the forest had a simple lifestyle; most of those who looked to be adults and teens were already working around and helping others with their chores, and those who were clearly kids were mostly playing with themselves or helping a bit with the simple chores that they could also do.

The adults and teens who were already capable of helping others around also had markings already, unlike the kids who only had a few lines on the sides of their faces and on their arms.

Some of the markings were indicators of their jobs and current responsibility in the community.

The markings on them also showed their positions and status in the community, which were even more obvious with how they were dressed. Aside from the markings that they had, those with higher positions and status had better clothes than others.
