After Breaking Up, I Married the General-Chapter 181 - 180: Seeing people of another race 4
Just as they had observed before, those with different markings and different clothes from the others were often people with higher status or special jobs.
After a week, they finally understood most of what the people were saying.
Even before they could fully understand their conversations, they already had a general idea of what the people were talking about based on the words Storm had been adding to the list every time it confirmed a meaning.
They had also gathered many recordings of the conversations of the people in the forest while observing them for a week, giving them a good understanding of the relationships between most of the people there.
For example, they learned that the ten people they had been observing since the beginning were all part of the gathering team and had already been a team for a long time, as their relationships with each other were very good.
Most of their houses were also near each other, so it was very easy to continue observing them.
They also learned that three of those people were family and were actually siblings.
Among the ten people they had been observing, four were the most active and very good at socializing, as they had many friends aside from those on their own teams.
As for the others, they were quieter and tended to work alone whenever they were done with their gathering tasks.
Over the past week, they had seen that those ten people would always go out to gather things away from their dwellings.
They would gather things around the forest, and on the next day, they would go and gather things farther away.
Their schedule was already set, together with the other teams that were also responsible for gathering food and other supplies.
"So, are we going to communicate with them?" Ryzel asked.
They had already observed the people living in the forest for a week and hadn’t seen any weapons that might pose a threat to them.
Over the past week, they had seen that the people in the forest were really only using the natural things around them.
They used things that looked like seeds to light the wood used for cooking fires.
Their clothes were mainly made of plants and animal skins. Their bowls, pans and other things were also made of some fruit plant hard covers.
They also had flowers that emitted natural light at night, and the weapons of the guards they saw were a mixture of sharpened minerals and hardened wood.
The only thing that might be dangerous for them was the ability of some people to control and grow plants, as they hadn’t seen the full capacity of those abilities yet.
However, they had only seen a few people who could do those things; according to what they had heard, there were still people who weren’t back in the forest yet, as they were out on a long-term mission.
According to what they heard, it seemed those people were the ones with stronger abilities, while those left behind were either too young or too old to go out, or had low-level abilities and needed to get stronger first.
"No, let’s not disturb them yet. Let’s go around this planet first before coming back here later. Let’s see if there are other people like them on this planet.
If we go and talk to them now, they would probably be more guarded since they don’t have their strongest force with them.
We won’t be able to communicate with them properly, and they would probably make us wait until their strongest people are back before talking to us properly.
It’s better for us to check the entire planet first. It’s also better if we could find an energy source and other things first so that even if they turn hostile, we could just leave this planet without much regret."
Ryzel nodded and then said, "It’s indeed better for us to collect some sources of energy that we could use if there are really some on this planet. We should also collect more plants."
Ryzel actually wanted to collect plant samples around the forest and the places around the forest as the plants around them were also different from the mountain range that they had stayed at.
Unfortunately he couldn’t collect any because he knew that those people living in the forest were frequently roaming around so they might notice something if he went to get some plants near them.
"Let’s collect some plants later in inhabited places."
Ryzel nodded and asked, "Then when are we going to leave?"
"Let’s leave tomorrow."
"In what direction are we going to explore first?" 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶
"Let’s head west."
"West? Isn’t that the direction where the other teams went on a long-term mission? Are we going to follow them?"
"Yes, let’s try to see if they’re still heading west or already heading back. Let’s try to see if we can see them use their powers."
"As long as they haven’t strayed from the western direction, we could probably see them. But are we just going to leave without leaving any cameras or recorders behind?"
"Yes. Some of them are really perceptive; a few have been looking up here a few times, even though they couldn’t see anything.
If we leave something behind, they could probably find it easily, as they are very close to nature, which makes it easier for them to observe things around them."
As Layton had mentioned, even those who didn’t have abilities seemed to be so close to nature that they could perceive their surroundings better, even though they weren’t that strong.
Even those going out to gather things could easily detect animals from far away to hunt them.
They were also obviously closer to plants, as they could easily identify and find the ones they wanted even if they were hidden.
If a few were perceptive enough to notice that something was slightly wrong even though they couldn’t see anything, then those who had left the forest probably had even stronger perceptiveness and could notice them even with Storm’s invisibility.
If they left something behind, it would likely be noticed by those who were more perceptive or by the people returning later on.
