Abyssal Sovereign: The Demon's Dominion-Chapter 299 - 298: Taboo technique
Booom…
Cracks spread across the fifth layer of space as tendrils of oblivion surged out in swarms.
The ongoing battle between the Rank 3 demons and angels paused momentarily.
Everyone gulped. They could feel it — this fight was reaching its peak, and soon, a victor would emerge.
Boom…
Crack…
The more they clashed, the more distorted the fifth layer of space became. The area around them quickly turned into a forbidden zone. It would later become a blessing, for the energy being used in this fight was enough to help others advance to Rank 4.
Origin.
It meant the key, the ancestral path of all laws ,
the coalition of everything.
Just a single Origin could form a multiverse, and within each Origin were all laws.
For instance, within the Fire origin, there existed earth, fate, destiny, creation, and more.
All these lesser laws come together to form one Origin.
And now, between Void and the Death Angel, the Death Origin and the Fire Origin clashed.
Void's sword was one of the highlights of the battle — the sheer range and magnitude of its destruction left the onlookers in awe.
Boom…
Boom…
Their swords clashed as space trembled. Realities collapsed, dimensions shattered.
Time itself became distorted — their past and future intertwined, overlapping endlessly. They were everywhere and nowhere at the same time.
Across countless universes, worlds, and planets… visions of two terrifying beings who seemed to hold the cosmos in their palms were seen.
Void blocked the Death Angel's slash as his tail moved at a speed beyond comprehension.
Doom!
The Death Angel's head was struck, his body jerking back, his legs trembling.
This was a golden opportunity — and Void wouldn't miss it.
With a single step, he appeared in front of the Death Angel, his hand shooting forward to grab his opponent's face.
Paommm!
A knee to the face ...,
blood spurted everywhere.
Kishbb!
A swift, powerful stab
,
the sword pierced straight through the Death Angel's chest.
His heart was impaled, and the battlefield fell silent.
Is it over?
That thought echoed through the minds of every being watching as Void stared at the Death Angel, who coughed violently. Blood poured from his mouth as his glowing eyes began to dim.
"You…" The Death Angel's eyes widened — first in shock, then in ecstatic realization.
Void had done it. Void would kill him.
"Remember what you said… about going out with a huge firework?" Void asked softly, a grin spreading across his face.
The Death Angel lowered his head, then chuckled wildly.
"Yes… yes… yes!" he groaned.
Void's grin widened.
"Boom," Void whispered with a smile — and everyone gasped.
They felt a massive suction force as their Rank 3 bodies began to bend.
"Run!" a quick-witted demon shouted.
The Rank 3s scattered, breaking through the fifth layer of space and diving into the first layer.
Without stopping, they tore through planets and universes, desperately trying to flee.

Deeper, in the sixth layer of space, Rank 4 beings
,
both angels and demons
briefly paused, their faces filled with amusement.
"Ah… he's more talented than we thought. He defeated a Death Angel on his own," a Rank 4 demon said proudly.
It was known that below Rank 4, no demon , no matter their bloodline
could defeat a Death Angel in a one-on-one battle.
Yet this demon had done it.
Not to mention, he had already unlocked the Primordial Demon Body.
He was more demon than a demon…
A monster among monsters.
"Don't be cocky. Many geniuses have fallen in history
and history loves to repeat itself," one of the Rank 4 angels said coldly, his tone dripping with disdain.
"Hahaha!" The Rank 4 demons roared in laughter.
"Unlike you, we don't gatekeep our bloodlines. If he dies, that's his fate. Do you think we lack strong beings?" another Rank 4 demon said, spreading his hands.
Behind him stood an enormous number of Rank 4 demons
,
nearly two for every angel.

Back at the battlefield — the fifth layer of space…
Like a divine will, the fifth layer had been scorched dry by Void.
A terrifying presence filled the void of space as his body glowed. His eyes burned crimson, tendrils of molten darkness wrapping around him.
Void took a deep, sharp breath that echoed across the entire fifth layer of space.
BOOOOOOMMMMMMMMMMMMMM!
From the sword lodged in the Death Angel's heart, a catastrophic explosion erupted — devouring everything in its path, matter and existence alike.
It wasn't mere destruction… it was oblivion itself.
It spread far and wide, across the infinite expanse of the fifth layer of space.
Time passed, and finally, it all settled.
Holes leading into the terrifying sixth layer of space — and even to lower
layers like the fourth, third, and first — were everywhere.
The laws of reality were thin, almost nonexistent, as if they'd been hollowed out.
Where Void once stood was now empty.
This wasn't the fake death of Rank 3 beings.
Void had truly killed a Quasi-Rank 4 being.
How? Why?
First — Death Angels were not beings like the rest. They were more like the will of the angel race, infused with traces of heavenly divine grace.
Unlike the immortal Rank 3 entities, Death Angels were not immortal
,
they could be killed.
Now, the Death Angel's earlier words ,
his wish to die
finally made sense.
Void exhaled deeply.
His unnamed sword glimmered faintly in the darkness.
Four of its holes were now fully opened.
But Void himself… that attack had drained him. It had covered the entire fifth layer of space , infinity itself.
How terrifying was that?
If that explosion had been released outside, an entire multiverse would've been obliterated.
A single multiverse contained an almost infinite number of creatures
and could easily defend against a Rank 3 attack.
Even a low-level multiverse could withstand attacks from early Rank 4 beings.
But Void's last strike… would have erased it all.
(Congratulations to host for unlocking a taboo-like technique.)
(Please name it.)
The cold metallic voice of the system echoed as Void stood frozen, his mind spinning
replaying that final attack over and over.

Earth.
A secret underground base.
In a private, secured room…
A slightly aged man sat, sipping coffee as he stared at a thin stack of reports before him.
Compared to the other massive documents on his desk, this one was small , barely the size of a short prose compared to a full novel.
Yet, it was the most important of them all, for it contained the results of a being captured by the military.
The man set down his cup and opened the file slightly.
