A Blind Swordsman's Sword Coffin-Chapter 526 - Sneaky Xiao Chen
That night, Li Guanqi and Meng Wanshu shared a room on the cloud boat, about to deepen their relationship. Meng Wanshu lay on the bed shyly, one shoulder exposed. Li Guanqi’s hands caressed her body, and her breathing quickened. She turned away, not daring to look at him. Her fair skin flushed, adding to her allure.
Li Guanqi leaned close to her ear, about to whisper sweet nothings—when the boat lurched. The outer light screen rippled, and the vessel tilted sharply. The couple froze. The romantic mood shattered in an instant.
Meng Wanshu jumped up like a startled deer, threw on her clothes, and hurried toward the door. “I need to check what happened.”
Li Guanqi kneeled on the bed and punched the sheets. He wanted to cry but had no tears.
“Fuck! Why now?! I need to see who ruined this.”
He furiously strode out of the room, a sword in each hand.
The moment he stepped outside, he spotted Xiao Chen, drenched in blood and clutching his shoulder. Ye Feng stood opposite him, face covered in blood, pressing a hand to his own wounds. Xiao Chen had stabbed him six or seven times.
Both glared at each other defiantly, but neither moved. They had no choice.
Li Changqing stood nearby with his arms crossed, chuckling. “That was exciting. When I was your age, I was only at the Nascent Soul Realm. You’ve certainly exceeded my generation.”
Xiao Chen said indignantly, “If you hadn’t stopped me, I would have killed him with my spear.”
Ye Feng shot back, “Yeah! Senior Li, if you hadn’t stopped me, I would’ve... cut his dick off.”
Xiao Chen covered his crotch with two hands, feeling a chill down there.
Electrical arcs crackled into existence. Both turned to see Li Guanqi sneering at them, Red Lotus Sword in his left hand, Yanluo Sword in his right. Vital force surged through him, and his aura flared without restraint. Terrifying sword intent gathered around him like a storm.
Ye Feng paled. He had rarely seen Li Guanqi so furious. “Uh... Boss, we didn’t try to kill each other. We just have some light injuries. No need to be angry...”
Xiao Chen hurried over to Ye Feng and touched his wounds with a finger. The flames lingering inside were drawn out instantly, and the bleeding slowed. Xiao Chen forced a weak chuckle. “Yeah, Brother Li! We were just playing, just playing. Don’t get mad... My wounds are worse than his anyway... Don’t—”
Li Guanqi smirked coldly. “Just playing? That’s not enough. If you’re sparring, you need to experience genuine threats to your life. That’s how you improve, right? Come. I’ll show you what Sword Heart Realm sword intent looks like.”
He trapped both of them within his Sword Prison.
Li Guanqi vented his anger thoroughly. Half an hour later, he tossed them out of the domain, his rage finally cooled.
Then he looked up and saw Li Changqing dragging a chair over and sitting in front of Meng Wanshu’s door, stone-faced. Li Guanqi’s mood soured again. Without a word, he threw another punch at Ye Feng and Xiao Chen while they lay sprawled on the ground, giving them both a black eye.
Only when they saw the hostile old man did they finally realize why Li Guanqi had been so furious.
Ye Feng took it in stride. He felt like he deserved it for ruining Li Guanqi’s plans. Xiao Chen, on the other hand, jumped up in outrage. “You bastard! You were about to cultivate amidst mortal distractions with Wan’er, and you have the gall to punch me? Do you have a conscience at all?”
Li Guanqi raised his fist again. Xiao Chen scrambled back several steps, raising his hands to block.
Ye Feng stood up, dusted himself off, and grinned. He tossed a Spirit-Gathering Array tray onto the deck and began cultivating. Sword intent swirled around him. The intense battle had brought insights he wanted to grasp while they were still fresh.
Xiao Chen sulked and sat down next to Ye Feng. He took out a jar of wine and tipped it down his throat.
“I drink to drown my sorrows...” He took another long gulp. “My heart hurts! He looks so weak, but I can’t beat him! My heart hurts so much! My eye and ribs hurt too... but they can’t compare to how bad my heart hurts.”
Ye Feng frowned. He’d just begun cultivating, and here was Xiao Chen wailing right next to him. Still, he understood. Xiao Chen had pursued Meng Wanshu for years without success. Li Guanqi had burst in like a war hero returning to claim her. Anyone would struggle to accept such a devastating twist.
But after losing to Li Guanqi in their previous battle, Xiao Chen had been direct about admitting defeat. He’d openly acknowledged that Li Guanqi was stronger. That honesty had surprised Ye Feng. It was why he’d been willing to engage in harmless banter with Xiao Chen instead of harboring genuine enmity. At least Xiao Chen was straightforward.
With that thought, he opened his eyes and kicked Xiao Chen away.
“Are you sick in the head? Go drink by yourself! Why are you touching my Spirit-Gathering Array?”
Xiao Chen scurried back, eyes darting toward Li Changqing and Li Guanqi. The latter was glaring at him and Ye Feng. He forced a chuckle. “I’m just bored drinking alone... And when I see him, I feel uncomfortable, and my whole body hurts.”
Exasperated, Ye Feng grabbed the wine jar and took a drink. When the liquid hit his throat, he winced and clutched his nose. “Tsk... That’s strong!”
Xiao Chen leaned back on one hand and gazed up at the night sky. Holding the wine jar, he feigned a dramatic tone. “Even the strongest wine can’t drown out the pain in my heart.”
Ye Feng grinned. Xiao Chen was surprisingly straightforward and powerful. Even after Ye Feng released his Ghost Arm and used Yin Hellfire, their fight had still ended in a stalemate.
Of course, Ye Feng had held a few tricks up his sleeve. But who’s to say Xiao Chen hadn’t done the same?
