"And that’s it for today"Avery said, slumping down in a nearby chair likewise Hazel who was breathing rapidly because she was exhausted after having a tour around the house.

She’s thankful to her mother-in-law who had the will to do so for her knowing how bored she would be in this huge house if everyone left.

She had earlier told her she would be leaving soon to check her business,she had instructed Hazel to go with her but she declined saying it won’t be nice to be in the public until the marriage it’s held.

Avery didn’t see any reason why she shouldn’t be in the public but she respected her decision with the idea that she was the extrovert type,so she decided to leave her.

"Thanks mom,I really appreciate it,"Hazel said, standing to peck her cheeks.Avery smiled at her while she stood up with her phone ringing she then turned to her.

"It’s alright,anything for you my love,I will be going then,take care"She said, stroking her cheeks while Hazel nodded,she bid her farewell before she left her with the chief of staff who opened the door for her.

"I guess I’m stuck once again"she sighed, deciding to give Zaiden a piece of her mind once he’s back about his decision about her not leaving the house.

It’s not like she wasn’t excited to follow Avery out to her shop but she didn’t and wasn’t in the mood to hear Zaiden’s rantings once he comes back and hears that she left the house.

She wasn’t scared of him,she’s just playing safe with him for now until things get settled with the both of them,once she gets comfortable she would then let him know that she wasn’t the one who listens to orders.

She wasn’t a fool or too naive to notice that something transpired between him and his dad which gave room for his soured mood this morning, coupled with the fact that Grandpa lost his appetite seems suspicious to her too.

The least she had gotten to know of the old man,This the first time she had seen him moody,so,she knew something was definitely wrong so she needed to stay calm for now and know what her position in their life was.

If they think she came back only for them to treat her like she wasn’t worth it she wouldn’t hesitate to sue them to court although she knew she won’t win due to their influence but she would try,she hated the fact that his father,Ezekiel was already thinking low of her,so she needs to make it up to the man that she wasn’t like he had imagined.

She checked her phone,it’s not yet afternoon and Sunny hasn’t called back,getting worried already that something might have happened to her,she needed to know how she’s doing,no matter what,she was still her family.

She dialed her number but it’s still going to voicemail. She decided to call back later as she went to the fridge taking chips and some drinks after she decided to watch movies in their room.

She loved the way it sounded,smiling that there was an improvement in their relationship and he hasn’t sent her packing out of their supposed room rather they makeout.

She knocked off the idea,knowing that he was only playing with her,he was just using her for his selfish desires but she’s going to change him for good.

"Oh my God!"She screamed holding her heart when she closed the fridge and saw Sophia standing beside it with a poker look on her face while staring at her.

She detest this lady because she carries these negative vibes around,she always has goosebumps whenever she thinks about her and her son,and glancing at her arms the goosebumps were there already as she had said.

Sophia smirked,walking over to the fridge while pushing her. She took a can of water,before walking over to the sitting room with Hazel looking at her.

Hazel didn’t know exactly what her problem was,didn’t she have anything to do? Like work? Or the only things she likes doing was give people creepy stares which makes one feel unsafe around them.

She and Sophia can never get along,she doesn’t like the lady at all including his son,she branded it in her mind to avoid her as much as possible,she meant trouble and she didn’t want her being the reason why she loses her control Infront of the family.

So,she ignored her and walked back into the room, while she kept her chips and drinks while taking the remote to turn the TV on,she felt really bored watching the programme that was on,after several switching on different channels while looking for an interesting station to pass time with,she gave up because she wasn’t a lover of television,she preferred reading.

She groaned and stretched her limbs and that was when her eyes landed on another door inside the room which she figured out to be his office.

Curiously,she stood up while gulping a lump in her throat when she imagined what Zaiden was going to do to her once he found out what she was about to do. Well, what was he expecting her to do in this huge house without anybody to talk to?

Luckily,she turned the knob and it opened revealing a large and well kept office with a huge library. Smiling at the sight of the books there,she went in while walking up to his table, admiring his office.

Well,she would commend,he was one neat freak,everything was well arranged without a speck of dust anywhere,walking over to the library she was disappointed when she didn’t find any useful book,it was all about business management and boring stuff.

She couldn’t believe there wasn’t any single novel here,she was a lover of romantic stories but what was expecting to find a romantic book here in Zaiden’s library?

Turning to leave after getting disappointed,her eyes fell on a portrait inside the office,it was his family picture,his dad was smiling at Avery while little Zaiden had a grumpy look on his face.

She laughed and move along to the picture,caressing his face,he was such a cold freak since he was a kid and wondered what would make a kid to be so grumpy when snapping a picture with his parents,he should be thankful he had and knew who his parents was unlike her,who got rejected the very minute she was born.

Turning to leave with a solemn look on her face after seeing the family’s picture,she had moved against the wall as another door opened with a dark hallway.

What the fuck! A secret passage.

Hazle knew she was invading his privacy a lot and it was bad doing so,but the curiosity in her won’t let her turn a blank eye at what was staring at her,rather she was tempted to go in and see what was in-store for her.

"Hazel,what are you doing?"she whispers to herself as she turned her phone flashlight on, because the hall was dark,the minute she took a step inside the wall closed back entrapping her into his secret passage.

She went back trying to find the exact place on the wall on how to open it but it was a fruitless effort and that was when she knew she had fucked up,she was stucked here with no idea of how to leave before he’s back from work.

What’s she going to do?

Zaiden would kill her.

What is she going to tell him once he finds her here?

They had already passed the stage of him suspecting that she has something up her sleeve for approaching him in the club and had denied that it was a coincidence that she was also the lady he was getting engaged to,what is he going to think of her once he finds out that she invaded his privacy and now stuck in his secret passage.

But why does he need a secret passage?It’s not like this was a hotel and the passage was built for any emergency.

As much as she knew that she had made a grave mistake by entering here,she didn’t want to let go of why he had a secret passage,moving forward to find any other places she stopped when she saw the picture of him and the model,Arianna.

They were numerous portraits of him and the model,he looked so happy in them and so carefree just like the Zaiden she saw this morning,if anything they looked perfect.

She held up one of the pictures,the two were on the beach with his arm wrapped around her while she smiled pointing at the sea,but Hazel wasn’t interested in the lady,she was focused more on the happy Zaiden.

If he was this happy with the model why did he decide to settle down with her when he’s the most happy when he’s with the love of his life.

Amidst,the evidence right in front if her proving the Love he had for the model while her thoughts were still going haywired about his decision to marry her,she still couldn’t let go of the fact which was infront of her, that she was making a mistake here,when it’s obvious that that Zaiden loves Arianna.
