Confusion.

That’s all she felt,she was confused when she stared into his blue eyes which were devoid of any emotions as his lips moved against hers.

Why is he kissing her suddenly?

She could hear the whispering that followed their action because it dawned on her that he attracted people’s attention towards them.

Was he that desperate to convince the public that he was happy even if he had to hurt her feelings?

Why is he such an attention seeker?

These went through her mind that it hurt her so deeply that he was only using her just for his pleasure.

She tried pulling away but his grip on her tightened, surprising her as he pulled her more to him,his hand going to grab her ass right in front of the public.

"Zaiden" a soft feminine voice called to him but the voice sounded as if it was on the brink of crying.

Hazel didn’t understand what was happening because when he finally released her from his hold after kissing her in front of the public he pulled her to his side.

"Where were you? I was worried about you babe"Zaiden asked concerned, which made Hazel question his actions because he never really cared for her,touching her face lovingly while she looked at him in total confusion and disbelief.

Am I dreaming?

Did he drink something?

Hazel was shocked that she couldn’t utter any reply to what he just said,it was very obvious that she was not expecting him to say this to her.

She remembered hearing a voice and that was when her attention was drawn to the female who was standing in front of them looking at Ziaden with keen interest.

She looked back at Zaiden to see him also looking at the lady with a kind of expression on his face which Hazel understood to be that of hurt and hatred.

She had never seen Zaiden look at someone as if he could use his eyes to kill and eliminate the women standing in front of them.

Do they know each other?

What’s his relationship with her?

With the way the two were looking at each other, it was obvious to her that they know each other,but why the tension between them.

Hazel studied the lady in front of them,she figured out with the way she was dressed and her really good shape coupled with her spotless face gave her the hint that she was an actress or probably a model.

The lady had a shape to die for,she was slim,but her slimness didn’t contradict the fact that she was really pretty.

It sounded odd but she seems familiar,where has she seen her before?

"Who’s she?’’Hazel asked the very question to lighten up the tension between the three.

"She’s nobody,"Zaiden denied.

"I’m Zaiden’s friend"Adrianna declared,bringing her hand out for a handshake with Hazel.

Adrianna couldn’t believe what she was witnessing,she didn’t want to accept the truth that he was taken.

She had arrived at country Z earlier this evening,calling Zaiden but it was in vain,he had a hot temper and was not one to forgive easily but what she didn’t understand and believe was his sudden engagement.

His engagement with her.

She studied his fianceè and figured that she was clearly not among his league,then why is he getting married to her.

Was it some kind of revenge over what she did to him?

Zaiden can be unpredictable sometimes but getting engaged just weeks after finding her with Micheal was something that was hard to believe.

Was it some kind of setup just to get her to react?

What surprised her mostly was him kissing her right in front of her with his eyes staring right at her with a smile plastered on his face.

"I’m Hazel Blackwood,Nice to meet you"Hazel told her with a smile on her face but she didn’t take Adrianna’s outreached hands in hers.

Smart.

That was the first thing Adrianna noticed about her,she was smart enough to notice that Zaiden didn’t like her and she choosed to be on his side,rejecting her offer to be friendly to her.

She was sure enough that Hazel was a nobody because she couldn’t remember her being on the internet or anything.

If Zaiden could settle down with a commoner,what more about him didn’t she know about him.

She left to make a name for herself so that she would be able to fit in his world once they got to know about them,but it seems as if doing that had caused her to lose him.

"Hazel"Someone called from their back as then they turned to face the smiling Avery who took Hazel from Zaiden’s grasp.

Adrianna noticed the way he rolled his eyes at what just happened,was he in love with her?

Alot had happened all these years of her absence.

She noticed the resemblance between the woman who was saying something to Hazel which she didn’t hear. It took a while to realize that she was standing in front of Zaiden’s mother.

She couldn’t believe she was not able to identify her,well,it wasn’t really her fault because she didn’t get to meet her while she was dating her son.

"Greetings mother,I’m Adrianna Walter, Zaiden’s friend"Adrianna said with no Shame that was when Avery noticed the young lady beside them.

Did she just hear her call her mother?

Friend?

She looked in awe from Zaiden to the lady not taking in what she just heard right ,friend? 𝕗𝚛𝚎𝚎𝐰𝗲𝗯𝗻𝚘𝚟𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝕞

When did he have a friend she doesn’t know?Because the only friend she knew was Luke.

"Anna!’’Zaiden shouted her name and that caught people’s eyes because immediately the camera lights from the reporters started taking pics of them.

Adrianna smiled in victory,this was what she wanted,does he think he can date her secretly and then dispose of her just to get engaged to someone else.

He dragged her away from the crowd,with her trying to keep up with his fast steps,she nearly broke her ankle but he didn’t care.

The reporters were in cue to start making reports over what was happening,that they surrounded Avery and Hazel asking them what was her fiance’s relationship with the model, Adrianna Walter.

The bodyguards do their job disposing of the reporters,banning their entry in the hall but it was too late.

The model’s presence had already made the reporters start giving speculation that her fiance was dating the model in secret.

Hazel had an instant headache after witnessing her engagement party get ruined by Zaiden and his so-called friend.

Friends?

With the way Iady reacted after seeing Avery,she was sure of what intentions the lady had and seeing Zaiden’s reaction,it was now justified that they were more than friends.

If they were lovers,then why did he agree on getting married to her?

If they were lovers,why hasn’t both of them been seen in public before thinking of appearing at her engagement party?

Why does Zaiden always end up hurting her?

Though she was trying to get used to and endure what is coming her way,it seems like it never ends,because it seems as if everyday has a drama prepared just for her.

It was more difficult than she thought,would she be able to live the life she wanted without him making her getting frustrated for choosing him in the first place.

The engagement party ended some seconds after the drama that happened,but it was obvious to everyone that was present that there was confusion between the two couples who had the party in their name.

"Where’s Zaiden?"Grandpa thundered the minute everyone came into the sitting room to have a sit to think about what just happened.

Hazel noticed the ridicule on Nathan and Sophia’s face when they heard what happened.

"Who the hell is that brat?’’Avery yelled, walking in circles while her husband walked up to her to calm her down but she flared the more and that was where Zaidme got his temper.

He was the complete copy of his mother when he’s angry because the lady didn’t allow her husband to calm her down,she was waiting for Zaiden to appear and explain how he was related to that model.

"That’s the result of forcing marriage on someone Avery,don’t act so hurt"Sophia said laughing.

"Mother stop"Nathan scolded her lightly, pretending that he was not loving what was happening.

Hazel rolled her eyes at his pretentious nature,he was acting like he was not happy about what was happening, when it’s obvious that he was on his mother’s side.

This family needs therapy.

"I will be in my room"Hazel said standing up,taking her heels in her hands trying to hold the tears that were leaking down her face.

Why the emotions lately?

She took a step on the stairs about to go to her room,when she heard Zaiden’s voice but she didn’t stop to look at another drama when she had had her fill of it already.

But she stopped suddenly,with her legs hanging in the air when she heard Avery curse out loud before landing her son a slap before the whole family.
