The ceremony was going well with Hazel trying to remember the names of the multiple people which Avery introduced her to.

She was already tired before the occasion could end because right now she was standing with Avery before a table of women which Avery introduced to her as the ladies of the elites.

"Good evening lovelies,I’m Hazel Blackwood ’’Hazel greeted them, bowing to the ladies who had a beaming smile on their faces.

She could make out a few of them who were smiling. The rest who were seated besides Sophoa weren’t smiling one bit at her; rather they were throwing hateful glares her way but she didn’t care.

"She’s so pretty"

"Where did you find such a gem"

"So sad,I couldn’t succeed in making Zaiden marry daughter but your daughter in-law is cool Avery"

Hazel held her laughter when she heard the ladies statement,does she probably know what she meant by what she just said.

With his attitude,she was sure no female would fall or like to marry such a cold snd heartless person like him.

Then why did you choose to fall in love with the big bad wolf Hazel?

She was offered a drink by one of the women which she declined,she never really had alcohol because she has a low tolerance for it and doesn’t want her drinking self to be the news the following day after she had acted up if she decided to drink just like the lady had requested.

So that’s a no.

She took a look at Avery and then the lady understood her before turning to the woman who offered her a drink.

"She can barely hold herself when she drinks Rita and besides I don’t want my daughter-in-law drunk on her special day"Avery added and there was laughter to what she said as the ladies gave their blessings to Hazel smiling at her cuteness.

She already liked the company she was having with the ladies,unlike the socialites which she knew,they weren’t judgemental,not a single one among them asked her about herself or who her parents were.

She suddenly felt the way the women were looking at her back,some of them their eyes held love for something or someone Hazel figured out to be because before she could turn around and notice the reason why they were looking behind her,a hand was draped on her waist.

"Mind If I take my fianceè for a while ?"Zaiden’s deep baritone tone said to the women who smiled at him,nodding their heads before he gave them one last smile before taking her way from them.

"Where are we going ?"Hazel asked because he didn’t talk to her after taking her away from where she was having the fun of her life.

"Don’t be stupid Hazel,this is your engagement party am not kidnapping you" Zaiden said to her, turning to see the look on her face before looking away.

Why does his heart hurt whenever he talks rudely to her?

He didn’t want to take in her features and get hard again because the part thing he needed was her getting the idea that she was affecting him,in a bad way.

She would use it against him just like Arianna did.

"Here they are,wow she’s so pretty"The two heard a voice before they looked up,Zaidem rolled his eyes at luke’s cheesiness which Hazel noticed then smiled.

"I’m Luke,Zaiden’s friend and did I forget to tell you that he thinks you are really pretty"Luke told her, avoiding looking at Zaiden.

"Luke"Zaiden called, trying not to distract everyone who was busy.

"I’m Hazel,nice to meet you"Hazel introduced smiling at her friend,he didn’t mention having a friend nor did she imagine in her life he would have a thing called friend.

Hazel liked Luke company already because the man like her was a chatterbox so they were already pairing along like friends.

Zaiden felt jealous with the way Luke was talking to her as if he knew her,they were both getting along just fine,not that he was complaining but he knew it would happen.

Luke was a chatterbox and had been waiting to meet her,so why won’t they get along together.

He couldn’t endure it anymore, he

saw her laughing comfortably with him which made his earth stop for a while. She was really beautiful when she smiled.

More beautiful than Arianna.

He went forward to them, their attention now on him,Luke noticed the grimace look on his face and laughed to it,he knew he was jealous.

Here he was pretending that he doesn’t like the girl but he can’t stand her talking to another man.

"We need to go,"Zaiden told her,while she pouted her lips, feeling sad for leaving a good company again.

"It was nice talking to you sweetheart"Luke said, winking at her which made Zaiden tighten his fist.

"Chill man I was just saying goodbye"Luke sarcastically said,watching his eyes glare at him with anger for giving her such sweet endearments in front of him.

"Let’s dance"Hazel offered to him when Luke left,she was angry at him that the only thing he did was chase away people who were nice away without trying to keep her company.

"I don’t dance"He blurted out before the girl.

"But you keep pushing people away from me without giving me attention"She cried out looking straight at him.

Zaiden irked at her statement,did she just say attention?

Was she thinking he was here getting engaged to her willingly that s he won’t give her his whole attention if he really loves her.

"Attention you say?"He asked with a smug look on his face"so if I don’t give you attention,you will go around whoring around with other men,isn’t that what you want?"

"Zaiden ’’She called him,her eyes getting wet already hurt from what he said,why is he still insisting on her being a whore,she thought they have passed that stage already.

Not only was he a killjoy,he had to do this too on her engagement day,what’s the problem with him?

"Stop the tears Hazel before I give you something to cry about. ’’He ordered,pulling her to his body when he noticed the attention they were getting but he didn’t want them finding out he was hurting the girl that’s why he pulled her to him.

"I need to go to the restroom"She croaked out in a small voice,before pulling away from him and his body heat.

She wiped her tears off her face with her palm trying not to ruin her make-up,why was she crying?

Why does she care about what he thinks of her?

Why do you care if he hurts you,it’s only a few more months before you are long gone so why feel bothered?

She thought,getting strength after having a little privacy,does Zaiden think he can insult her and get away with it, never.

She was going to pay him back in his own coins,just wait.

She came out of the bathroom looking for Zaiden only to get pushed into a hard chest who wrapped their hands around her protectively before she could fall.

Looking up to find out who she was in his arms because he was definitely not Zaiden,she nearly puked,it was no other person but Nathan.

Why does she always find herself in a creepy situation with this creep.

She pushed him off her,hugging her body because she felt goose jumps whenever she was with him.

"Left alone on your day so Zaiden like ’’Nathan teased her, while taking a handkerchief to clean his suit where Hazel was before as if she was a plaque that needed to be cleansed off.

"It’s none of your business,unlike someone who doesn’t regard women,Zaiden is much more preferable"Hazel taunted back,she doesn’t know what usually gives her the courage to talk back to him,she wasn’t scared of him and won’t be at all.

Nathan’s face hardened when he heard her Statement,clenching his fist inside his pocket,this is the second time she insulted him,had it been they were not in a hall filled up with people he wouldn’t hesitate to give her a hot slap.

Who the hell is she to talk to him anyhow?

"Let me give you an Advice,don’t trust him too much because in the end,he will dispose you as the silly trash you are"

"Are you trustable Mr fortune teller?So nice of you to advise me on who to trust,but you see I’m not that much addicted to taking advice from animals,so .."Hazel said lastly loving the look on his face before she left him and his disgusting self insearch of Zaiden.

She smiled when she saw his back facing her,he was talking to someone but she took notice of who he was talking to,her legs were already exhausted from walking in these heels,she needed to ask him when this would be over.

She touched his arm but his eyes were not in her,rather it was staring at someone before she could look back and see who it was that had his attention,she felt him drawing her to him.

Then kissed her.
