"How about a Rolls Royce Phantom?" Matt asked.
"Nope. Not happening." I said from my spot on the passenger's seat.
"Bugatti Chiron?" The McLaren Senna roared down the road.
"Definitely not."
"So, there's a chance?" He turned to smirk at me. "How about a Mercedes? One of those limited editions?"
"Keep your eye on the road." I pointed and he faced the road.
"How about the Pagani Zonda? I heard it's about nine million or so."
"Whatever the cost, I'm not getting it."
"Come on." He said good naturedly. "A billionaire without even a single Rolls Royce? It's a travesty. A travesty, I say."
"There are lots of billionaires without a Rolls Royce."
"It's the principle of the thing." He said. "You're going for a new apartment. Shouldn't you have a new car or two to go with it?"
"New cars I'll probably never drive? No thanks."
"You're a disappointment to aspiring bachelors everywhere." He smirked.
"Okay, how about this?" It was my turn to smirk. "I'll buy a new car if you'll take the Senna off my hands."
"Deal." Matt said the moment I was done. He glanced over and laughed when he saw the surprise on my face. "You thought I was gonna reject a Senna? Think again, bro. It's a fucking Senna."
I chuckled. "I totally should have expected that."
"It's your fault for not predicting this." He laughed.
"Alright." I nodded. "You can have the Senna. I'll get myself an overpriced car. Happy now?"
"Super." He grinned. Then, we arrived at the apartment building. We went through the security checkpoint before being cleared for entrance.
"Man, this place is awesome." Matt looked up at the residential skyscraper. It was in a prime neighborhood close to the marina. There were other skyscrapers nearby but it was the tallest in the area.
It had recently been built by one of Cooper Real Estate clients and I was here to check out the penthouse.
We pulled into the underground parking lot, driving around for the person we were here to meet.
"Blue shirt, right?" Matt asked.
"Yeah, blue shirt." I replied.
"There." Matt drove to park beside the white hyundai. Standing beside it was a man dressed in a blue shirt and black pants. He was the one Gray had sent to show me the place.
"Mr Voss." He said as we stepped out of the car. "It's an honor to finally meet you. I'm Dave."
"Hello, Dave." I shook his hand. "Call me Nico. And this is Matt."
"Shall we?" Dave smiled, gesturing.
"Let's."
He nodded, leaving the way. "Mr. Gray wanted me to show you the place but before we go up, I'll have to mention the apartment comes with a two car reserved parking with valet service and also includes a car elevator which allows you to have a third parking space in your apartment."
"Sweet." Matt grinned.
Dave returned his grin as we got to the elevator. He pulled out a card and used it on the reader. "This is a private elevator only accessible by keycard. You don't need to use the private elevator and can come and go as you please."
"That's a point in its favor." I said, sharing a grin with Matt.
"No need for you to take your sneaky link up with the rest of the common folk." Matt said.
"I doubt there'll be sneaky links." I said. "Besides, I haven't said I want the place yet."
"No sneaky links, he says." Matt scoffed. "That's the biggest lie I've ever heard in the history of the world."
Dave listened, saying nothing as we bantered. Finally, the elevator dinged and opened up to the penthouse apartment.
"Welcome to the top floor." Dave gestured with a smile, waving us in.
"Woah." Matt whispered before turning to me. "You're definitely getting this."
"Come work for me after you graduate and I'll have one ready for you." I grinned at him.
"Why wait when I could just move in with you." He countered with a grin of his own. You'll need a car to occupy one of your parking spaces."
"No, dude. It's a 'come work for me' offer only." I sniffed pretentiously and he laughed.
"This is the open concept living room." Dave began the tour gesturing around the place. "It has been furnished with comfort in mind."
The living room was designed beautifully with a TV big enough for one to sleep on it. The biggest wall was occupied by floor to ceiling windows with a door at the side that led out to the balcony.
Sunlight flooded the room through the windows, providing natural lighting.
"And here we have the balcony." Dave led the way out. "Here is the balcony lounge and dining table. There's also a built-in outdoor grill."
He gestured at them but what caught my attention was the infinity pool.
"Here we have the infinity pool where you can relax and enjoy the view."
And what a view it was. The view on the balcony faced the ocean, giving a beautiful view of the sun striking the glittering water. The other buildings and skyscrapers around also added to the view with their architectural beauty.
After admiring the view, Dave led us back inside, showing us the dining room adjacent to the living room. It was spacious and capable of seating ten with a big chandelier sitting overhead.
"You cannot escape chandeliers now." Matt whispered to me, chuckling at the joke.

The kitchen was like something out of a chef's dream with appliances that I wasn't sure had even hit the market yet. It had a marble island in the middle, complete with barstool seating.
"The penthouse boasts four bedrooms, each with their own en-suite bathroom and customized storage." Dave led us to the master suite which had a king sized bed, a bathroom that Matt joked about using as a dining room and a large walk-in closet.
There was even a private section of the balcony that could only be accessed directly from the master bedroom.
By the end of the tour, I could admit to feeling a bit overwhelmed. The penthouse had its own home office, wine cellar, spa room and gym. It was like whoever had built it had just wanted to add rooms for fun.
So, there we were, taking the elevator back down when I popped the question. "How much is it?"
"Forty million dollars."
I opened my mouth to decline the apartment when the screen appeared in front of me.

"I'll take it."
