Interstellar Beast World: All My Husbands Are Powerful and Rich! - Chapter 252: Do I look ill?
"Yes, Lady Lola."
The doctor stepped forward at once, preparing to examine Vincent, but Vincent shifted aside, neatly avoiding the outstretched hand.
He turned to Lola, his expression darkening with clear displeasure. "You brought a doctor to examine me? I’m perfectly fine."
This was absurd. Lola knew very well that no man would openly admit... that kind of problem.
She lowered her voice, trying to persuade him.
"Big brother, I know it’s embarrassing for you to talk about this."
She leaned in slightly, speaking in a hushed tone. "But this isn’t something you can ignore out of pride. You absolutely can’t avoid treatment. Don’t worry—this is a physician from the Firebird Clan. They’re extremely discreet. Nothing will leak out."
The more Vincent listened, the more something felt off.
His eyes narrowed. "Explain yourself clearly. What exactly did you bring this doctor here to treat?"
Surely... it couldn’t be what he was thinking?
Lola looked at him with unmistakable sympathy, lowering her voice even further.
"Of course it’s to treat... your condition. I already asked the doctor. This kind of issue can be cured if treated early. You mustn’t insist you’re fine just to save face. If this keeps up, my sister will definitely start to dislike you. After all, no woman would want a partner who was... incapable."
"...Incapable?"
Again. That same word.
And now even Lola knew about this ridiculous rumor.
Vincent clenched his jaw, his molars grinding as he forced down the surge of anger rising in his chest.
"Who told you I was ’incapable’?" he asked through gritted teeth. "And who else knows about this?"
Lola shrank slightly under his tone, nervously twisting the hem of her clothes. 𝑓𝑟𝑒𝘦𝓌𝑒𝑏𝑛𝑜𝘷𝑒𝘭.𝒸𝘰𝑚
"I... I didn’t plan to tell anyone," she said quietly. "But when I went to find the doctor, Mother—and the fathers—happened to be there, so..."
So now, even his Empress Matriarch and all his fathers believed he was "incapable."
The veins at Vincent’s temples throbbed visibly. For a fleeting moment, he truly felt like killing someone.
Lola glanced at his darkened expression and hurried to explain in a small voice, "Big brother, I really didn’t mean to tell them... They overheard me talking to the doctor."
Lola lowered her head slightly, her voice small.
"But don’t worry—Mother has already ordered that Father and the others aren’t allowed to spread it. So... not that many people should know."
A soft, icy laugh escaped Vincent’s lips.
"Heh."
The sound was sharp as shards of ice. Lola nearly burst into tears from fright.
"B-Big brother, I... I was just trying to help you... I was afraid my sister might dislike you in the future..."
"So I should thank you for that, shouldn’t I?" Vincent asked through clenched teeth.
If she weren’t his biological sister, he might have already struck her.
Lola fell completely silent.
Seeing that she no longer dared to speak, Vincent turned his gaze to the doctor beside her.
His voice turned cold. "Look at me. Do I look like someone who’s ill?"
The doctor jolted under that gaze, a chill running down his spine. Cold sweat instantly broke out across his back as he stammered,
"N-No... not at all... Lord Vincent, you... you are full of vitality, your energy abundant—you are in exceptionally good health!"
He had practiced medicine for hundreds of years, yet never had the word "healthy" felt so terrifying to say.
If he had known, he would never have followed Lady Lola Brandon here.
"Good." Vincent gave a slight nod, his tone laced with quiet menace. "Since I’m not ill, then you know what to say when you go back, don’t you?"
The doctor nodded frantically.
"I—I do. I understand."
"Then get lost."
With that, Vincent turned and strode back into the estate, not sparing Lola a single glance.
She watched him leave, panic rising as she opened her mouth to call him back, but her partner quickly covered her mouth.
"My Lady, please... don’t say another word."
Didn’t she see? Vincent was on the verge of killing someone.
"But my brother’s illness hasn’t been treated yet!"
Lola looked at her partner anxiously.
They had gone through so much trouble to bring the doctor—shouldn’t he at least be examined?
This concerned her sister’s future happiness. Her brother couldn’t just ignore it out of pride!
Her partner didn’t dare provoke Vincent.
He could only try to reason with her.
"My Lady, if Lord Vincent doesn’t want treatment right now, even if you tied him up and dragged him here, he still wouldn’t agree to it."
"Why don’t we wait a little longer? When he starts to worry himself, he’ll go find a doctor on his own—no need for us to push."
Her other partner chimed in as well, "That’s right, my Lady. You know Lord Vincent’s temper. He doesn’t even listen to the Empress Matriarch... there’s no way he’ll listen to you."
"My Lady, please don’t delay the banquet tonight. The Empress Matriarch personally named you to attend—we should head back first."
Persuaded by her partners, Lola finally relented. "...Alright. Let’s go back and attend the banquet."
She said it aloud—but in her heart, she was already plotting.
If her brother wouldn’t listen to her, then she would go find Rory. After all, Rory was his Female Master. Surely... he wouldn’t dare ignore her.

In the dining hall
By the time Vincent returned, everything Rory had prepared was already laid out across the table.
Wen had also been called over.
Everyone was seated, gathered around the spread.
The table was filled with fresh ingredients—thinly sliced beast meat, vibrant vegetables, all uncooked and neatly arranged.
When Rory spotted Vincent, she immediately waved him over.
"Vincent, come sit! We’re about to start."
Vincent smiled as he walked over and took the seat beside her.
He glanced at the table, taking in the raw ingredients—even the carefully sliced beast meat was uncooked—and asked with mild confusion, "Rory... how do we eat this?"
Rory chuckled softly. She picked up a slice of meat, wrapped it inside a slice of dough, and dipped it into the bubbling, steaming pot at the center of the table.
"Like this—just swish it in the broth. Once it’s cooked, take it out and dip it in the sauce I made. Once you’re done with the dumplings, you can drink the broth; it’s delicious!"
As she spoke, she placed the cooked piece into Vincent’s bowl.
"Try it. See if you like it."
Vincent followed her instructions.
In an instant, a rich explosion of numbing spice, heat, and savory depth flooded his senses.
The flavor was so vivid, so overwhelming, it was almost indescribable.
Around the table, Nix, Jasper, Xarion, and Paros all watched him with unconcealed envy.
They wanted that too—food personally prepared by their Female Master.
Wen sat quietly, his gaze lingering on Vincent as well. There was the same hint of longing in his eyes, though he said nothing. As merely Rory’s follower, he didn’t dare hope she would serve him personally.
Yuel, however, didn’t spare the others a glance.
He simply followed Rory’s example, cooking a dumpling in the pot before placing it into her bowl.
"Rory, try mine."
"Thank you, Yuel."
Rory smiled, eating the piece he had prepared. Her eyes curved with contentment as she savored the taste.
It had been so long since she’d had hot pot this good.
Watching this, the others suddenly felt enlightened.
Right!
If she wouldn’t cook for them, they could cook for her.
Nix immediately picked up several balls of meat, wrapped them inside the dough, and dropped them into the pot.
Xarion and Jasper followed without hesitation. Paros, seeing this, quickly joined in as well.
Even Wen, after a brief pause, quietly added a few dumplings into the simmering broth.
