[BL]The Hero and his Party Won't Let Me Go

"Is something wrong, Rin? You have been looking at me for some time now. Can I help you with anything?"

The teacher asked in a pleasant voice. She kept it as neutral and friendly as she could without coming off as fake, and she even used her powers to make her voice sound more pleasant.

She had never failed to make a kid like her (with the sole exception being Caelis), so she was startled when blank, unfriendly eyes looked at her from a sulky expression.

"I don’t like how you look at Shuu. Please stop."

The child told her, and the teacher paused, looking at him with a startled expression.

"E-Excuse me, but what did you say?"

The teacher had to wonder whether her ears were deceiving her or not. Had Rin actually said those words? If so, why? She had not expected a child to ever tell her something so firmly.

"Shuu is taken, so don’t look at him like that. That person will get jealous."

Rin’s voice was clear when he said that, and his eyes were steady as well. He was warning the teacher to stay in her lane, and that did not sit well with her.

’Tsk, what is this kid trying to do? I cannot believe a kid is trying to lecture me regarding this. No, don’t get angry at a kid. He has a valid point...’

If Shuu already had a partner, then it would be a shame indeed. But the teacher was not shameless enough to go after someone who was already taken... right?

’But is it really going to matter if that man comes of his own will? If he breaks up with his lover and comes to my side, then it will not be my fault, right?’

The teacher quickly made up her mind.

Shuu would come to her himself, and he would beg her to be with him. That much she would make sure of with her abilities and all. As for everything else... that was debatable and could come later.

Rin continued to look at her in that unnerving way, and she finally decided it was time for them to go to the classroom.

’I need to put Rin with the most troublesome kids in class so that he would see reason. Once he’s bullied and has no one else to rely on but me, he will come around and like me as well.’

It was a tactic the teacher had used on students who were a little resistant to her charms. She was going to make sure this kid would rely on her one way or another since he was the key to Shuu’s heart.

"Hmm, should we get going now? I am sure your future classmates will be happy to see you."

The teacher had honey dripping from her words, but Rin could see past it and notice her hidden intentions.

Unfortunately, she did not know her plan was about to backfire in the most spectacular way possible.

’This is so boring. Why did Kaiden put me in this class? I could be out there searching for Shuu as well. But no! He wanted me to keep up the appearance of being a normal kid. Tsk, I will not forgive him for this, and-’

Caelis’s eyes moved toward the door as soon as it opened. He could not help but look at it due to the sudden noise it made.

Their teacher entered the room quickly, but she was not alone. Caelis could feel another presence walking behind her.

Cough

Everyone looked at the teacher when she coughed to get their attention. Even Caelis felt his eyes being drawn to her when he did not want them to be. 𝒇𝙧𝙚𝓮𝙬𝙚𝓫𝒏𝓸𝓿𝓮𝒍.𝓬𝙤𝓶

"Hello everyone, if you would all pay attention to me, I have someone to introduce you to. He’s new and shy, so I hope you all get along with him well."

Caelis’s heart skipped a beat as soon as he felt that familiar presence enter the room. He could tell that it was Rin.

The face was slightly different, and the features of this kid were completely different from what Caelis recalled. Rather than silver hair and red eyes, he had brown hair and brown eyes. But the intensity behind them was hard to forget.

’I cannot believe I am saying this, but maybe Kaiden is a genius. How did he predict I would meet Rin here of all places?’

Caelis did not know where this stroke of luck came from, but he was not complaining. In fact, he was beyond happy to see that somehow, the stars had aligned and brought him and Rin back together.

Rin still looked as quiet and distant as he always did, but that was his charm.

"Alright, you can take your seat in the back beside Caelis. He’s the child in all black."

The teacher explained, and the day just kept getting better and better for Caelis. He watched as Rin walked toward him and sat down.

All this time, the teacher kept looking at him to see if he would act out and do something. He usually did play pranks when others sat beside him and got them to leave him alone.

But those people were not Rin, and he would never do anything to him.

So instead of driving Rin away, Caelis shifted and made space for him. It caused everyone else to look at him in shock before they looked at Rin with pity in their eyes.

’Tsk, do they all think I bully them because I want to? It’s because they are all too annoying. But Rin is Rin, and I can never hate him or cause him harm...’

Caelis wanted to say this out loud, but he kept his thoughts to himself and pretended he was not paying attention to anything.

He could feel Rin’s eyes on him, as well as the teacher’s, but neither of them said anything, and the class began.

And somehow, the class kept on dragging and dragging.
