’Darn it-! I lost them...Why do I have to wear this controller for my powers? I can contro them just fine...’

Caelis looked down at the bracelet on his arm. It had been forced on him by his ’so-called’ father after he had almost blown another training room with his tantrum.

According to Kaiden, this bracelet would help him control his outbursts and also help him focus.

But so far, the only thing this bracelet had done was give him a headache by making it impossible for him to use his powers freely.

It was also because of that dizzy spell that he had lost the person he had been following. His instinct told him that it had been Shuu and Rin, but he could not be sure until he met them himself...

But he had lost them just now.

"Tsk, what rotten luck."

Fortunately, he was not too far away from the academy and he could return there. He was also sure that whatever reason had brought Shuu and Rin to the academy would bring them back once more.

If he only waited around, he could catch them...

"Caelis, what are you doing out here? Didn’t I specifically tell you that you cannot leave your classroom while it is academy hours? I thought you understood this because you nodded at my words."

The ’teacher’ quickly noticed him and walked over to him. Her expression was one of extreme patience and her ability activated.

She was an emotion-type esper that could make kids listen to her better by using her abilities. She was a high-class one as well, likely A-class and in theory, her abilities should work on kids who ever even S-class.

But Caelis just scoffed at her pitiful attempts at trying to control his life.

"Don’t bother using your ability on me. It’s not going to work anyway. I will still do what I want and you cannot stop me."

He declared and the teacher looked at him like he was a particularly naughty child she had to deal with.

"Alright, this is enough for you. I am going to give you detention and I will be reporting you to your father as well. You need to learn that not everything would go your way just because you gained a little bit of power. You also need to learn control."

Caelis opened his mouth but he was not able to say much. In the end, he was dragged away from the hallway back to the classroom.

Secretary Ann took Shuu and Rin to the basic supply shop. But although it said ’basic’ there was too much to buy.

Rin did not even have clothes to change into, so that was another thing added to the over-all list of things that they needed to buy.

The more they bought, the guilter Shuu felt about spending all this money.

He was not a soft-hearted person by any means, but he was a tactical one. He knew that every kind gesutre had a cosrt associated with it. It was only a matter of time before you paid for it.

Secretary Ann noticed his discomfort and decided to quickly reassure him.

"Don’t worry about the cost and such. Our guild is not so poor that we cannot afford it. But if you are still worried about it, then how about you get it deducted from your salary for a while? That way, you will still be the one paying for it?"

The ease with which Secretary Ann said these words made Shuu realixe that he might not be the first person worried about this.

It made him instantly feel better and he nodded.

"That would be appreciated."

It took a long time before they finished shopping and then it was finally time to head back. But Secretary Ann got a call that he could not ignore.

"Let me take this call. I will be back with you in a minute."

Shuu nodded and sat back down with Rin. A minute passed and then five and then half an hour, but secretary Ann was not back.

It was getting late so Shuu decided that it was time for them to head back.

He sent a message to Secretary Ann about his plans and after paying with the money the secretary had given him, he decided to head back.

But he had not gone far when he felt a presence creeping up near him.

It did not feel like the pure presence from before. There was something foul mixed in here that made Shuu want to run away.

"Rin, don’t look back. Keep moving forward and pretend you did not notice anything, alright?"

Daniel asked as he forced Rin to keep moving.

Rin nodded and followed his instructions. But the further they walked, the more he felt that presence behind him coming near him.

"Shuu, do you want me to do something?" 𝘧𝘳𝘦ℯ𝓌𝘦𝒷𝘯𝑜𝑣𝘦𝓁.𝒸𝘰𝓂

Rin asked in a worried voice. He had sensed the same presence and he disliked it as much as Shuu did. But the only reason he was not smashing these people to bits was because Shuu had not asked him to.

"Let’s try to lose them first. Violence should not be our first choice of action."

Shuu advised Rin, but he was beginning to feel like violence was the right choice of action at the moment. Especially if these people did not stop following him and Rin.

The plan was simple- head home and let someone else deal with these stalkers. But the more Shuu walked, the more he realzied that he was falling into a trap.

He did not even realize when he ended up in an alley and he sensed the presence behind following him along inside.

"Oh! So there are two of you? I did not even realize this until now. Well, I don’t think you will leave me alone if I ask you to, right?"

Shuu asked and the two people who were behind him exchanged a glance before they attacked him outright. He could only sigh and dodge to protect himself and Rin.
