The female elder was about to say something when she saw him come out with this thing, but she quickly closed her mouth.

After Lin Fan came out with this bottle, the aura of the thing inside the bottle was released.

Once the female elder felt the aura that came from this bottle, she knew that he hadn’t been lying about what he said previously. It was only something that was special like this that would be able to completely hatch the egg.

So she just waited to see what Lin Fan would do with the liquid inside of the bottle.

Only Lin Fan didn’t do what one would have expected him to do.

Instead of going over to the egg and pouring the liquid inside onto it, he stopped right in front of the egg.

The way that he looked at the egg was as if he was examining it, but those that looked closely could see that he wasn’t actually looking at the egg. It was as if he was looking at something that was in between him and that egg.

But in the end, he suddenly tipped the bottle upside down and poured out the liquid that was there.

The liquid didn’t fall to the ground as one might expect and instead floated there in the air.

If there was one thing that Lin Fan excelled at, it was controlling elemental energy. It wasn’t a problem for him at all to control this liquid even though it was brimming with spiritual energy.

With this control, he made the liquid move towards the egg and made it take the form of a certain shape.

It seemed to be some kind of array that was being formed.

The female ghost was the one that recognized what this thing was first.

"So it’s to imitate the aura of a parent..."

The liquid itself was a special elixir that contained concentrated dragon blood essence. It wasn’t on the same level as a true dragon bloodline, but it was close enough that it would be able to fool the one that was inside of the egg.

As well, the array that Lin Fan formed also helped draw out the dragon aura that was contained within this elixir.

Once the array was formed, Lin Fan controlled it to press up against the shell of the egg.

It remained on the shell for a bit before it suddenly disappeared. With the way that it disappeared, it was as if it had been absorbed by the egg.

There was a silence that followed that made it seem like it wasn’t effective, but no one said anything as they waited for a reaction from the egg.

When the female elder wanted to say something, that was when that reaction finally came.

"Crack."

The same sound as before came, but it was also stronger than before. It seemed like the array had triggered the final thing that was required for the egg to hatch as it suddenly split apart.

There was no delay at all as the egg suddenly shattered apart, but it was only the shell of the egg that shattered apart like this. The contents of the egg were perfectly fine as the shell scattered around it.

With the way that the shell fell, it was as if there was something around the thing inside that protected it from the shell itself.

Once the shell was pushed aside, the appearance of the thing inside the egg was revealed.

"A lizard?"

That was what everyone thought at first when they saw this thing, but then they saw the one thing that proved that this wasn’t just a simple lizard.

"One, two, three, four, five. It really is a five clawed dragon." The female elder said in an excited voice.

With this as proof, there wasn’t anything that anyone could have said that would have disproven that this was a dragon with a true dragon bloodline.

It was just that other than this five fingered claw, there really wasn’t anything else that was imposing about it. From its outer appearance, it really looked just like a small lizard would.

There wasn’t even an aura that was coming from it that would have shown that it was a five clawed dragon. Which was why it didn’t feel like this was the legendary five clawed dragon.

Only the female elder didn’t seem to care as she floated over to take a closer look at it.

When the five clawed dragon sensed the presence of the female elder, it suddenly opened its eyes and looked right at her. Even though it had just been born, this five clawed dragon’s eyes seemed to be filled with a glow that proved that it was filled with intelligence.

Though the way that it looked at the female elder, it didn’t seem like it wanted her to approach which made her stop.

The wary way that the five clawed dragon looked at the female elder showed just how little it trusted her. But then again, the female elder was a stranger to this five clawed dragon that had just been born.

Once the female elder stopped, it seemed like the five clawed dragon lost interest in the female elder and looked around for something.

It was only when its eyes turned in Lin Fan’s direction that it stopped.

Then without giving anyone a chance to react, it suddenly flew into the air and went over to where Lin Fan was.

The way that it flew seemed like it was pushing down on the air itself with its claws, it was almost as if it was running through the air. However, it didn’t seem like the five clawed dragon was used to doing this yet as it suddenly fell towards Lin Fan.

Lin Fan reached out to grab it and it didn’t seem like the five clawed dragon had any wariness towards him with how it fell right into his arms.

In fact, it seemed like the five clawed dragon was very friendly towards Lin Fan as it rubbed up against him. After landing in Lin Fan’s arms like that, it actually fell asleep again as if it was calmed by his presence.

"How are you doing that?" The female elder asked when she saw this.

Lin Fan shook his head with a faint smile when he saw this.

When he had read it from the system’s instructions, he hadn’t been certain that it would work. But now that he saw the five clawed dragon acting this way, there was no mistaking it.

The system’s guidance had been spot on.

When he had been making the array with that liquid, he had made sure to insert a bit of his presence into the array.

What the system said was that doing this would allow him to form a parental bond with the dragon that was hatched. It was similar to imprinting, but it wasn’t imprinting onto the first thing that it saw.

It was imprinting to the first aura that it felt and that was Lin Fan’s aura in the array.

"Yes." Lin Fan thought to himself.

Other than that, it had also completely maxed out the affection that the five clawed dragon felt towards Lin Fan. He didn’t have to do a single thing before the notification appeared that told him that the five clawed dragon’s affection towards him was maxed.

The system really didn’t leave any flaws at all as it allowed him to perfectly hatch the five clawed dragon and even bind it with the Love Gauge Taming.

In the end, Lin Fan just said, "I guess the one that performs that hatching is regarded as the parent."

The female elder had a wry smile on her face since she didn’t believe that things were as simple as Lin Fan made it sound. But even if she thought this, it wasn’t as if there was anything that she could say about it.

It wasn’t as if she could suddenly call out Lin Fan on this matter.

So in the end, she had no choice but to accept this as fact.

"I’ve already given you everything that I can give you, so there’s nothing left for me here." The female elder said with a sigh.

It really sounded like the female elder was completely giving up on trying to figure Lin Fan out. It sounded like the female elder was just exasperated at trying to understand anything that Lin Fan did.

But before she could say anything else, Lin Fan suddenly moved over to where the shell fragments were.

He woke up the five clawed dragon that was in his arms and started feeding the shell fragments that he picked up to the five clawed dragon.

As he fed the shell fragments to the five clawed dragon, one could tell that it was getting stronger. It was absorbing the power that was inside of the shell fragments and growing on the spot.

"So you even know this." The female elder shook her head and revealed a smile as she said this.

Lin Fan didn’t say anything as he continued feeding the five clawed dragon the shell fragments.

In the end, the female elder faded away.

Before she completely disappeared, it seemed like there was some kind of bracelet that was left behind.

At the same time, she also said one thing before disappearing, "I still don’t like the way that you just took everything after coming here, but I have to admit that you have talent. You’re definitely someone that I can entrust these kids to, so take good care of them."
