The Villainess's Heartthrob Script: I Can Talk to Animals
Chapter 64: The Falling Incident
"Mom, didn’t you say a few days ago that you were going to teach the Jennings family a lesson?" Joy Warren looked anxious. "My new boyfriend is interested in her. It’s pissing me off."
She’d hooked up with a rich heir in the last couple of days, only to discover he’d liked one of the flirty videos Renee Jennings posted on TikTok. She was furious.
"Don’t be hasty," Old Hag Crawford snorted. "I’m putting rat poison downstairs every day. Her little pests won’t be alive for much longer."
Hearing this, Inky flapped its wings and flew to Renee Jennings’s house to tell her.
’Just as I suspected.’ A chill emanated from Renee Jennings’s delicate features.
Inky sensed her anger and quickly asked, "Renee, should this Robin call some friends and family to go beat her up?"
"Not for now." ’A beating is just temporary physical pain,’ Renee thought. ’I’ll find another way to deal them a heavy blow.’

The winter break ended, and the children went back to school.
Renee Jennings had promised the fraternal twins that she and Diana Jennings would take them to kindergarten on the first day of school.
To her surprise, she was recognized by a human cub at the kindergarten gate.
"I know you! You’re the big sister who rides the tiger!" a little girl with a backpack and straight bangs exclaimed, looking at her excitedly.
Renee Jennings blinked and said softly, "You have the wrong person, little one."
"No, I don’t!" the little girl insisted. "I watch that video every day! I wouldn’t get it wrong!"
Hearing this, Renee Jennings asked, amused, "Why do you watch that video every day?"
The little girl replied with childish innocence, "When I grow up, I want to be just like you and ride a tiger every day." 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
"But I don’t ride a tiger every day," Renee Jennings said, not knowing whether to laugh or cry.
Before the little girl could answer, her teacher led her away.
Renee Jennings waved to her, then walked across the street with Diana Jennings to their car.
The traffic light at the intersection turned red, and Renee Jennings slowly pressed the brake.
While waiting for the light, she heard the System’s voice.
[System 009: Miss Jennings, congratulations on successfully passing the novice period. Current Level: Level 1. Your level-up rewards have been issued: Camel Dictionary, 100 points, one million cash, and 10 points of combat power.]
[System 009: A new Level 1 mission has been triggered: Find the Truth. Mission Rewards: Deer Dictionary, one million cash, 50 points. Mission Failure: Struck by lightning. Time Limit: One week.]
’Why is there a time limit after leveling up?’
As Renee Jennings was thinking about this, she suddenly heard Diana Jennings say she wanted to move out with the two children.
Worried her sister might misunderstand, she quickly added, "I mean find a new place, not move back to our old one."
"You haven’t terminated the lease on that apartment yet?" Renee Jennings frowned slightly, turning her head to look at her.
"Not yet," Diana Jennings explained softly. "There are still some things in the apartment that we need to move."
"Take the important things," Renee Jennings said. "Forget the rest."
But Diana Jennings was hesitant to let them go. "That would be such a waste. The beds and mattresses for Zane and Jasmine were just bought six months ago..."
As Renee Jennings listened to her, she was about to say something when, through the cold, clear glass of the car window, she saw a dark figure plummeting from a great height.
Her eyelashes trembled, and her eyes instantly widened, filled with shock and disbelief. Her heart skipped a beat.
Seeing the look in her eyes, Diana Jennings’s heart suddenly tightened. She asked worriedly, "What’s wrong?"
Renee Jennings’s lips trembled slightly as she whispered, "Someone... someone fell from a building..."
Hearing this, Diana Jennings turned to look out the window. She saw people in the distance gathering in one spot and asked nervously, "Should we go over?"
Renee Jennings didn’t answer. An urgent honk came from behind them.
She pressed her lips together, stepped on the gas, and drove straight ahead.

Renee Jennings woke up from her afternoon nap just in time to get a call from Michelle Fuller.
"Renee, I have huge news!" Michelle Fuller’s voice was exceptionally excited on the other end of the line.
"What news?" Renee Jennings got out of bed and went to the living room to pour a glass of water.
Michelle Fuller sighed. "Eileen Coleman jumped from a building and killed herself!"
"Eileen Coleman?" Renee Jennings’s brows furrowed as she thought hard for a moment before remembering who that was.
Once, at a party, she and Eileen Coleman had set their sights on the same rich heir. To embarrass her, Eileen had publicly called her out for carrying a knockoff designer bag, which made Renee so angry that they got into a fight.
After that, they often ran into each other at bars, and every time they met, they would trade passive-aggressive barbs.
It wasn’t until the last two months, when Renee Jennings turned over a new leaf and stopped going to bars, that she hadn’t seen Eileen Coleman.
When Michelle Fuller mentioned her name, she’d almost forgotten who she was.
"When did it happen?" Renee Jennings asked.
"Michelle said, ’According to the messages in the group chat, it was at eight this morning. Haven’t you checked the group?’"
’Eight in the morning...’
For some reason, Renee Jennings thought of the scene she had witnessed on the road that morning.
After hanging up, she opened her WeChat group chat and saw that many people had posted photos of Eileen Coleman’s fall. A few weren’t even censored, and the pictures looked bloody and terrifying.
Renee Jennings frowned tightly, her fingers tapping quickly on the screen as she typed out a message and sent it: [Have some respect for the dead. Can you please stop spreading these photos?]
The moment she sent the message, several people immediately @’d Renee Jennings.
Woman A: [Oh, @Renee Jennings, don’t you usually hate Eileen Coleman the most? Now you’re all about respecting her?]
Man B: [Why the sudden holier-than-thou act? Did you do something to feel guilty about? Afraid Eileen Coleman’s ghost is going to pay you a visit tonight, @Renee Jennings?]
Woman C: [@Renee Jennings, this is really suspicious of you.]
Woman D: [@Renee Jennings, don’t tell me you’re the one who pushed Eileen Coleman off the building.]
When Michelle Fuller saw these messages, she flew into a rage and started laying into them in the group chat:
[Watch your damn mouth! Did you eat shit for breakfast or something? It stinks.]
[Renee is right! It’s messed up of you to be posting these photos, especially when Eileen used to call you all her ’sisters’!]"
[I dare any of you to slander Renee again!]
Someone replied passive-aggressively: [Renee Jennings isn’t even worked up. Why are you, her little sidekick, getting so anxious?]
Michelle Fuller: [None of your damn business!]
Eileen Coleman’s fall sparked widespread discussion.
Incandescent lights illuminated the entire conference room, where members of the criminal investigation team were analyzing the case.
Quentin Lowell was also present. He was listening to everyone’s reports and opinions with a serious expression when the ringtone of the phone in his suit pocket suddenly went off.
He glanced at the caller ID, then stood up and returned to his office to take the call.
Frederick Wyatt’s voice came through the receiver. "Lowell, has the investigation into the fall been clarified yet?"
"It’s still under discussion," Quentin Lowell replied. "Suicide seems to be the most likely possibility."
The other end was silent for a few seconds before slowly asking, "What about Kane?"
"We haven’t called her in," Quentin Lowell said.
"This is a perfect opportunity," Frederick Wyatt said.
Quentin Lowell had just heard the report from the criminal investigation team and believed it was highly probable that Eileen Coleman’s death was a suicide, so he had no intention of asking Renee Jennings to join the case.
But since Frederick Wyatt had brought it up, he agreed. "I understand."
After hanging up, he returned to the conference room, raised his hand, and knocked on the door. "Henry, call Kane. Tell her to make a trip to the scene."
