The True Heiress is the Reserved Fiancé's Exclusive Memory - Chapter 764 - 785: Nosebleed Part 3
After a while, she sighed, sat down on the chair, and started eating breakfast.
Her physical condition wasn’t the best, making her quite prone to illness. Sometimes, when she had a fever, she felt unable to even get out of bed. Koa Jackson seemed to be in much better shape than her.
At first, her face was flushed, but after washing up and coming out, her face appeared even paler than usual.
Her thin lips looked even redder.
It was the kind of red that appeared dry and needed moisturizing.
Mia Ginger’s mind wandered off, and she quickly finished her meal.
She urged Koa Jackson to the living room, commanded him to sit on the sofa, brought over the medicine box, opened it, rummaged through it a couple of times, and asked Koa Jackson, "Which ones are you going to take?"
Koa Jackson glanced at her, couldn’t help but laugh, and lazily pointed to three kinds of medicine.
One fever reducer and two antibiotics.
Mia Ginger responded with an "Oh," carefully selecting the medicine as per the instructions.
She mixed a cup of warm water, tasted a small sip herself first, then handed it to Koa Jackson, smiling, "It’s not hot, drink up."
Koa Jackson looked at her, slightly stunned, and raised his hand to take the cup.
Mia Ginger went to prepare an instant medicine pack for him, quickly placing it on the coffee table, and said while rubbing her hands, "This probably needs to sit for a while. Let it cool down a bit before drinking."
"Okay," Koa Jackson nodded.
"Do you want to watch TV?" Mia Ginger asked again.
"Whatever," he replied.
"Then let’s find a show to watch," Mia Ginger suggested, reaching for the remote control. She flipped through a few channels and settled on a light-hearted variety show.
She watched TV while Koa Jackson watched her.
Over the years, he had grown accustomed to being independent, making all decisions by himself.
Since childhood, he’d always taken care of himself. 𝓯𝓻𝒆𝙚𝒘𝓮𝙗𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝒍.𝙘𝓸𝙢
In the beginning, he had bodyguards, drivers, and chefs around him, all male, but gradually, he didn’t even need them anymore.
It seemed like it had been a long time since he had felt taken care of, especially by someone who was his beloved.
Just now, when Mia Ginger handed him the water, it reminded him of Ayla Ward for some reason. It seemed like when he was very young, he couldn’t remember exactly how old he was, he once caught a cold and had a fever, and Ayla had cared for him just as thoughtfully.
Koa Jackson felt a warmth in his heart, picked up the fever medicine on the coffee table, and drank it down.
The bitterness lingered in his mouth, and he gently furrowed his brows.
Mia Ginger noticed from the corner of her eye, set down the remote control, got up, and said softly, "Is it bitter? I’ll get you another cup of warm water."
With that, she brought him another cup, filled it with water, handed it to Koa Jackson, and earnestly advised, "You have to drink more water when you have a fever. Drinking it warm is better; it really helps."
Her words were serious, like a little doctor.
Koa Jackson couldn’t help but smile again, his long, white fingers clutching the cup, slowly drinking.
Mia Ginger saw that he was being obedient and felt satisfied. She stood there for a while, then turned to the kitchen. She saw Aunt Lee washing dishes and greeted her, "I’ll cut some fruit for Brother Jackson."
"In the fruit basket over there, I just washed it, haven’t had time to cut it yet," Aunt Lee said, gesturing.
Mia Ginger smiled, "I’ll do it then."
After she finished speaking, she stepped over to cut the fruit.
Aunt Lee had just gone to the supermarket yesterday and bought quite a bit of fruit.
Mia Ginger glanced up and saw two small pears with thin, white skins that seemed quite delicious.
She suddenly remembered that Camilia Davis had once made her rock sugar pear stew, her eyes curved into a smile. She picked up a pear, peeled it, cut it into small pieces, placed them in a large bone china bowl, brought the water to a boil, turned it to a low flame, and began simmering it with rock sugar.
