Chapter 1508: Rory’s Gains

[One Month Later]

Klaus held Rory in his embrace, their bodies pressed together as they lay relaxed in a bathtub. It had already been a month since they returned from the Jade Nest.

After Rory spent two weeks sleeping, they decided to take the next step in their relationship, finally becoming one and linking together through the Paragon Mark.

Klaus was happy they had finally taken that step because Rory had finally received all the benefits his wives get whenever they joined the Paragon Mark.

She now has a 200,000% boost to all her attributes, her bloodline reaching the Celestial stage, and a Dao Seed slowly awakening deep within her soul sea.

Going from the mortal stage to True Immortal had unlocked several benefits that had turned his wives from normal to monsters overnight.

Right now, among his many wives, Lily’s speed can rival that of even a demigod, all thanks to the Paragon Mark.

Rory, who is both an archer and a close combat warrior, had also become much stronger in all aspects. In fact, she is the strongest wife at the moment.

Until Klaus makes Queen Leah and her family his official wives, Rory holds the mantle of the strongest.

If these boosts came before they entered the Jade Nest, then against even the strongest demigod, she would have killed them in less than ten moves.

Before becoming Klaus’s wife, she had a high level of understanding of [Space Law].

However, after she got linked to the Paragon Mark, it moved to the Perfect stage, surpassing the Super level altogether.

That had made her a dangerous foe, and so out of happiness, and perhaps gratitude, they spent the last two weeks in each other’s arms, making so much love.

Other benefits were added, but the most important of them were the boost to her bloodline, Law comprehension, and attributes.

"I never knew becoming your wife came with this many benefits," Rory muttered, already happy and perhaps ready to go back to Planet Caelmir to train with her sisters.

Klaus smiled and brushed her silver hair from the side of her face.

"Good thing you became my wife. Now you get to grow stronger and protect me when I need help." 𝚏𝐫𝚎𝗲𝕨𝐞𝐛𝕟𝚘𝐯𝚎𝗹.𝕔𝐨𝗺

If Klaus had said this before she received these benefits, perhaps she would have smirked and said that Klaus doesn’t need her help.

But things are different now. Her understanding of Space Law is at the Perfect stage, so there is no telling what she is capable of anymore.

"Just don’t get into any huge trouble until I form my Law Core and become a demigod. I may be strong now, but not invincible."

"Oh, so you think becoming a demigod would make you invincible, huh?" Klaus raised his brow, a bit intrigued.

"I don’t know if I would become invincible or not, but according to Lucy, something new has unlocked inside the Paragon Mark, and so I should come over and investigate together. According to her, there is a chance that when I become a demigod, even true gods would cower before me."

"Oh," Klaus was stunned, but he played it cool. "I guess you should hurry and go then. I can’t wait to see what that nerd has discovered."

Rory nodded and began cleaning their bodies. After the shower, she went to check on Slate, Omen, and Echo, while Klaus decided to enter the Dark Space and see what had happened.

Already, Icon had informed him of the numerous interview requests he had received.

However, since he planned on not entering the drama between the Paragon and the Heavens Court, he decided to reject all their requests.

Now, he wants to see what has changed and, if possible, handle some of the important stuff. The Dark Space would allow him to handle a few meetings before leaving with Rory and the others.

He appeared in front of the black mansion, and as usual, the nine Star Guards were present. Sensing his arrival, they rushed out to greet him.

"Looks like you’ve been busy, Master," Scarlet said with a happy smile. As beings who had been alive since the dawn of time, good drama always seemed to make them happy.

The Paragon vs. the Heavens Court was a lot of fun, so she was very happy. The rest were of the same mindset.

"I only did what I had planned from the start. Hopefully, when the time comes, all of this will pay off."

"Well, the Master really went all out, so I know things will go our way this time around," Darius said, his tone filled with encouragement.

"I hope so,"

Klaus went ahead to have a chat with his nine Paragon Star Guards before heading inside to review the messages he had received.

Thanks to Icon being the best assistant one could ever ask for, he was able to isolate the most important ones.

At the top was Lord Flux.

Since he was the one who linked him to one of the twelve Supreme Elders of the Warrior Temple, he knew a message from him was of utmost importance.

"His first message came a day after you entered the Jade Nest. Apparently, he wanted to ask a favor from you in securing a treasure he believes is inside the Jade Nest."

Klaus raised his brow, a bit intrigued. "What treasure did he want me to look for?"

"It is a treasure called [Three Elemental Necklace]. It is a wearable treasure that grants the wearer three elemental affinities; Flame, Lightning, and Ice temporarily."

"I see." Klaus sighed, feeling like he had missed a big one this time. While he owed Lord Flux nothing, finding that treasure for him would have improved their relationship.

He would have received his message had it not been for the Heavens Court sealing the nest.

Klaus sighed again and was about to shift to the next message when a necklace appeared before him. Since he was inside the Dark Space, only a virtual copy appeared.

"I may have used the Beast Legion to loot the entire vault after you and the others left. I found this necklace on the fifth floor."

Klaus stared at the necklace with a stunned expression. For a moment, he was left speechless. "When you said loot, did you mean that literally or figuratively?"

Icon smiled and replied, "I took everything away, leaving only the display cases."

"Damn, Icon. I never knew you had it in you."

As someone who was a con artist and criminal in the past, he felt proud of his no-good sentient assistant. "I guess Lord Flux would get to have his necklace after all."

With a smile, he proceeded to review the other messages.

It didn’t take long for an important one to appear.

"Lady Ryuu wants you to meet the officials who came to your duel with Rouni. It seems ignoring them for the past few months had left them dissatisfied, so Lady Ryuu wants you to calm them down before they get mad for real."

Klaus nodded.

He had already planned to meet them before heading to the academy. While he had no arrangements with the Doom Hunter, he knew he must meet the other three and apologize.

His first visit would be with Supreme Queen Mirabel, the representative and director of the Universe Bank in the Milky Way Galaxy.

Since he needed to make some money at the moment, he knew he had no reason to cause a misunderstanding with such a powerful person.
