Chapter 213: ... he wouldn’t dare..."

Loviator laughed out loud in mockery seeing her expression. She stood with a formidable posture, her piercing eyes and a commanding presence before her daughter.

Yana’s face was stained with tears and blood, her expression a mixture of confusion and disbelief. Loviator took a deep breath, with a look of amusement. Her daughter crying for a man was the most pathetic thing in her eyes. She never cried when the emperor of mankind stared her down coldly when he woke up naked in the bed with her. She used ten anguished souls to exchange for the devil’s fruit from the underworld. It was a very expensive aphrodisiac but it was very potent.

She refused to cry over the price as she imagined him happily embracing her after waking up. But she was so naive. Her heart was shattered but she didn’t cry. Instead, she decided to exact revenge and find that one thing that was very important to him.

"Yana," Loviator began, her voice steady but filled with a touch of glee. "What did I tell you before? Didn’t I tell you to never cry for a man? I told you to never fall in love and here you are crying for this useless thing."

Yana’s eyes reddened, her heart sinking at the revelation. She had assumed that Eling’s love for her was unbreakable, that their bond was so strong it would withstand anything, even her attempt to end his life. She wiped the blood from the corner of her lips with the back of her trembling hand, her eyes red and swollen.

"No," Yana whispered, her voice barely audible. "He loves me... he wouldn’t dare..."

Qie Xieling, "..."

Even if Eling was here he would have the exact same reaction. This woman killed him and here she was expecting him to be still loyal to her. These two were both crazy.

Loviator’s gaze softened but her heart couldn’t sympathise with her. She had tried to tell her that nothing good would come out of it. Men would betray her at the very first opportunity but Yana didn’t heed her warning.

With the flick of her wrist, she revealed Eling’s chest and shoulders. Yana’s breath caught in her throat as she took in his sensual body, a body she never got to taste.

"Look closely," Loviator said, her voice filled with a strange mixture of annoyance and disappointment. "See the marks on his skin."

Yana’s eyes darted to Eling’s exposed neck and shoulders, her vision blurry from tears. Her anger began to burn within her, the realisation of betrayal fueling the flames. And there they were, unmistakable shades of purple and red, scattered across his flesh like a damning confession.

Hickeys!!!!

Yana’s voice quivered with rage as she looked up at Eling, her voice dripping with accusation. "Who did this? Who is she?"

Loviator’s gaze remained steady as she met her daughter’s fiery glare. "A girl travelling with him and Luo," she replied, her voice tinged with a hint of warning. "She’s the one he has given his first time to."

Qie Xieling, "..."

He wanted to refute but looking at these crazy women it will only get worse for him. He lowered his gaze and acted invisible like he was part of the bed.

Jolie, who had been standing silently in the bushes looking over the palace wall, felt a shiver run down her spine as though Yana’s furious gaze was piercing through her. Jolie couldn’t help but wonder who had such strong malicious thoughts towards her.

As Loviator and Yana locked eyes, the room seemed to grow colder, the air thick with an unspoken understanding. The truth had been laid bare, a fragile web of love and betrayal shattered in an instant. And in the midst of it all, Qie Xieling was the most confused. Shouldn’t he be the one angry on Eling’s behalf? These women were acting like they were the ones who had been wronged.

"Go find her and kill her right in front of his eyes. It’s only then will your heart feel better," she said and Qie Xieling heaved a silent sigh of relief. At least this meant he would be alive until then.

"Luo is outside those city walls so if she is there it won’t take me long to get that bitch," she said her voice trembling in anger. She refused to look at him as she clenched her fists.

"He is here? Oh, this is going to be so much fun," replied Loviator before pointing at Eling. "You stay. Be good and I will be gentle later."

Qie Xieling, "..."

As the doors shut close Qie Xieling heaved a big sigh. Knowing that King Luo and Jolie were here to rescue him made him feel a great sense of relief. He honestly thought he was going to die here. Like a damsel in distress, he could only wait to be rescued.

Just as he wiped the cold sweat off his forehead the system that had been silent this entire time suddenly showed its face again.

"You must be kidding me. I am in bloody chains for fuck’s sake," he said and the system had no choice but to hand out the side mission.

’It’s out of my control. Side mission... help King Luo get his dragon heart scales back within the hour.’

Qie Xieling, "..."

"Did Leong Jinn wake up on the wrong side of the bed? He left me in peace all this time just to do this?"

’Master has been in a bad mood lately. He recently made some changes,’ said Prodigy recalling its master was slouching like the Grinch last night typing commands none stop.

"Then I might as well have a funeral in advance. I can’t leave this place," he said shaking the chains binding him. How was he supposed to complete a side mission while tied to the bed?

Just as he gave up hope, a brilliant blue luminous light materialised in front of him, captivating his attention. To his astonishment, the shattered bracelet that Loviator had destroyed suddenly reappeared, now whole and intact. A surge of power coursed through his body, filling him with newfound strength and determination.
