Zombie Bodyguard-Chapter 882 - 879: Hidden Dragon Should Not Be Used
Chapter 882: Chapter 879: Hidden Dragon Should Not Be Used
Hearing that Lin Tian didn’t want others to know his whereabouts, Miss glanced at Lin Tian curiously. Lin Tian shrugged, indicating he had no intention of explaining. Although Miss was a member of the Xiao Family, in reality, there were some things she didn’t know as well as Lin Tian.
"Miss, Second Miss, hello." Yun Xiaotian greeted the Xiao sisters one by one, his manners impeccable, leaving Xiao Manxuan with no opportunity to criticize.
After exchanging greetings, Yun Xiaotian noticed Little Hua nearby. Although this Tibetan Mastiff was female, it was born very fierce.
Unexpectedly, Yun Xiaotian said, "Second Miss, what a pretty puppy."
The remark immediately drew four unkindly looks. Two were from Xiao Manxuan, naturally furious that her Little Hua was mistaken for a puppy.
The other two came from Little Hua. For a Tibetan Mastiff to be called a puppy was simply intolerable. Little Hua’s previously lazy gaze turned fierce as it stared at Yun Xiaotian.
"Young Master, be careful, this is a Tibetan Mastiff," an elder stepped forward to remind him.
"Hmph, daring to call my Little Hua a puppy. As a Young Master of the Yun Family, do you not even recognize a Tibetan Mastiff?" Xiao Manxuan said angrily.
The little girl gave her large Tibetan Mastiff the name Little Hua but wouldn’t let others call it a puppy. It truly was the capricious Second Miss of old.
"Second Miss, I spoke too quickly, my apologies. I once saw the cheetahs raised by the Li Family, and in comparison, made such a comment. I hope Second Miss won’t be angry," Yun Xiaotian apologized sincerely, explaining his reason for saying so.
Still unconvinced, Xiao Manxuan huffed, "So what if it’s a cheetah? My Little Hua might not necessarily lose to it."
This made Little Hua lift its head proudly, its human-like behavior amazing everyone.
Lin Tian also smiled and said, "Actually, Second Miss is right. Adult Tibetan Mastiffs are very fierce and can fight lions; cheetahs are no match for them."
"Did you hear that? Tibetan Mastiffs dare to fight lions. What are those cheetahs considered?!" Xiao Manxuan said proudly.
In fact, Lin Tian left something unsaid. The premise for a Tibetan Mastiff daring to fight a lion is that it hasn’t been domesticated by humans. An undomesticated Tibetan Mastiff is a truly ferocious beast.
So, it’s impossible for Little Hua to fight a lion. Although the wildness of the Tibetan Mastiff is among the hardest in the canine world to tame, once tamed, that wildness is mostly dulled. Three tamed Tibetan Mastiffs might even be no match for an untamed wild Tibetan Mastiff.
Lin Tian felt sorry for those pets dressed in clothes and shoes, thinking, their owners claim to love dogs but only treat them according to their preferences.
Thankfully, Second Miss didn’t have such strange habits, only bathing Little Hua to keep it clean; otherwise, Lin Tian would have to educate her.
"Alright, let’s not just stand around here talking. Let’s go inside and continue," Miss, understanding her sister’s temper, invited everyone inside to prevent her from actually unleashing the dog to scare people. The little girl did have a history.
They followed Miss to the living room. Mrs. Xiao had long instructed the servants to prepare snacks and fruits. After meeting and greeting, there was naturally a round of small talk.
Although Yun Xiaotian’s manners were impeccable, Lin Tian still noticed that the lad seemed a bit distracted.
Actually, Lin Tian understood: the lad came for him. As for the matter of Old Yun asking him to pursue Miss, the lad had no interest.
Indeed, shortly after sitting down, Yun Xiaotian frankly said, "Auntie, I’m actually here to pick up Brother Lin."
This implied that he couldn’t stay long. Mrs. Xiao was evidently surprised upon hearing this and looked at Lin Tian. She hadn’t known Yun Xiaotian came for Lin Tian because the invitation from the Yun Family’s butler made no mention of it.
"Mom, here’s what happened..." Miss explained on Lin Tian’s behalf.
She was aware of the matter of treating Old Master Yun’s illness but hadn’t mentioned it to Mrs. Xiao. However, she hadn’t mentioned anything about Lin Tian seeking his origins.
After listening to Miss’s explanation, Mrs. Xiao was even more surprised. She hadn’t known that Lin Tian’s medical skills were so advanced. She previously thought Lin Tian only knew some massage and acupuncture. She hadn’t realized his medical skills were impressive enough to attract the Yun Family’s attention.
Regarding Lin Tian, Mrs. Xiao didn’t know as much as her two daughters did.
"Since that’s the case, I won’t delay your journey. If there’s a chance, come visit the Xiao Family again next time," Mrs. Xiao said to Yun Xiaotian.
"Of course, if Mrs. Xiao ever visits Jinghua City, please come to our home, and let us younger folks show some hospitality," Yun Xiaotian politely responded.
Lin Tian didn’t care much for such formalities, so he let them exchange pleasantries.
"Brother Lin, is there anything you need to bring? I can have someone help you move it," Yun Xiaotian, after explaining things to Mrs. Xiao, said to Lin Tian.
Lin Tian waved his hand and casually said, "I have nothing to bring, ready to leave anytime."
He didn’t even bother to pack clothes, only carrying with him gold thread, a bank card, and some portable items, and of course, an important black card, which could overdraft huge funds that might come in handy.
"Brother Lin is so carefree, Xiao Tian is very envious," Yun Xiaotian smiled, seeming genuinely envious rather than just flattering.
Lin Tian understood his meaning. Born into a wealthy family, some freedoms didn’t belong to him, especially for Yun Xiaotian, a family heir who traveled with bodyguards and couldn’t just go wherever he wished like ordinary people.
Lin Tian wasn’t one to dawdle; he would leave as soon as he decided to go. Xiao Manxuan was very reluctant as if he wouldn’t come back once he left. But she couldn’t force Lin Tian to stay, so she was so anxious that tears welled up in her eyes, looking as if she was about to cry.
Seeing the little girl about to burst out crying, Lin Tian habitually wanted to reach out and hug her to comfort her, but since Mrs. Xiao and Miss were present, he quickly stopped himself and crouched down to pat Little Hua’s head.
Surprisingly, Little Hua didn’t resist. Lin Tian spoke to the Tibetan Mastiff, "Little Hua, remember, you are the Second Miss’s Guardian God. When I’m not around, the task of protecting her is entrusted to you. If you do well, I’ll find you ten or so handsome male Tibetan Mastiffs to be your harem."
Little Hua seemed to understand Lin Tian’s words and nodded. The harmonious interaction between the man and the Tibetan Mastiff amazed everyone.
However, Lin Tian’s words left people between laughter and tears, mentioning handsome Tibetan Mastiffs in a harem—wasn’t that a bit over the top?
"Pfft..." Xiao Manxuan couldn’t help but laugh. Her eyes were brimming with tears, but suddenly she was blossoming with laughter.
Raising his head, Lin Tian winked at the little girl. She knew he said this to make her laugh, and her heart suddenly felt sweet. Any sorrow over the farewell flew away to the ends of the earth.
"Alright, let’s go," Lin Tian said, leading the way out of the villa, leaving the Xiao mother and daughters with only a dashing figure stepping away.
It wasn’t until Yun Xiaotian also left that Mrs. Xiao suddenly sighed, "A hidden dragon will never linger in the shallows. It will meet the clouds and the storms one day. The Xiao Family simply can’t contain him."
