Zombie Bodyguard-Chapter 1560 - 1557: Unless You Are a God
"Mr. Du Bian, this potion is so magical, do you still have any stock? Give us brothers some, it’s always good to have another trump card, isn’t it?" The long-faced man looked at the black glass bottle with glowing eyes, flattering the bearded man.
Mr. Du Bian carefully put away the glass bottle and immediately refused, "Don’t even think about it. This kind of potion is extremely difficult to refine, and the ingredients are even harder to find. The captain said this might be the only bottle, and it took a great deal of effort for him to acquire it."
"However, as long as it can deal with Lin Tian and the others, it’s worth it." Mr. Du Bian said with a smug smile.
"Of course, as long as the Hua Ying Sword is in our hands, any cost is worth it, not to mention savoring the charm of two little beauties..." The long-faced man said lecherously.
"Mr. San Dao, I’m warning you, no matter what you plan to do, it must be on the premise of completing the task. If the task fails, you know the consequences!" Mr. Du Bian glared at him and coldly warned.
"Don’t worry, Mr. Du Bian, it won’t delay the task. We brothers live on the edge every day, and occasionally, we should enjoy ourselves a bit." The long-faced man, Mr. San Dao, chuckled.
Mr. Du Bian ignored him, then checked the time and handed the glass bottle to another man, making a few hand signals. The man nodded and jumped out of the window.
A few minutes later, the man jumped back through the window and made a gesture of completion.
"Mr. Du Bian, it worked." The long-faced man, Mr. San Dao, said with a smug grin.
"Don’t be complacent, wait a few more minutes and then check again. We need to confirm that they’ve been affected by the poison before moving in. We must not alert the rest of the hotel—if our actions are exposed and discovered by those Huaxia people, we won’t be able to escape." Mr. Du Bian remained cautious, sternly warning his subordinates.
"Speaking of those Huaxia people, they are truly troublesome. We’ve already lost several of our capable brothers, otherwise, this mission wouldn’t have fallen to us." Mr. San Dao spoke with both resentment and relief, thankful for still being alive.
"Last time, the operation against the Xiao Family failed completely, and they even stormed our lair and wiped out an entire stronghold. Don’t underestimate the bloodline of Huaxia people; they can be extremely vengeful. Remember twenty years ago? Three strongholds were swept clean, and all three leaders were killed. The leader of those Huaxia ancient martial artists was called Wang Yuanzhou; his power was terrifying. And that was back on our home turf; now that we’re on their land, we must be extra cautious." Mr. Du Bian said solemnly.
"Yes, as the saying goes in Huaxia, ’being careful ensures a long-lasting voyage.’ Though we are just minor soldiers, we shouldn’t be cannon fodder in vain." Mr. San Dao agreed.
"It’s about time, go check." Mr. Du Bian pointed to the man from just now and ordered.
The man jumped out the window again, returning quickly, and excitedly said, "Mr. Du Bian, it’s a success. Two people have passed out; only the one who is not an ancient martial artist is unaffected."
"Those who aren’t ancient martial artists remain unaffected, as expected. The captain instructed that this potion is only effective on ancient martial artists. Move immediately, subdue them and transfer them right away!" Mr. Du Bian decisively ordered.
This time, all five jumped out the window, and for ninjas, leaping across rooftops was basic skill. Mr. Du Bian led the four into Lin Tian’s room.
At this moment, inside the room, Lin Tian and Xiao Manxue were both slumped over the dining table, with overturned dishes in front of them. Xiao Manxuan shook Lin Tian and then her sister, anxiously calling out, "Lin Tian, sister, what’s wrong with you..."
Seeing five people suddenly jumping into the room, Xiao Manxuan screamed in fear and hid behind Lin Tian, "Who... who are you? Why are you breaking into our room?"
"Who we are, you’ll know soon enough. Take them all away!" Mr. Du Bian ordered indifferently, giving a wave to his subordinates.
The other four rushed in, but all aimed at the Xiao sisters, ignoring Lin Tian.
"Baka! What are you doing? Control Lin Tian first!" Mr. Du Bian was furious, losing his temper.
"Who said you were going to control me?" Lin Tian suddenly stood up, grinning, and Xiao Manxue also stood up, a dangerous glint in her eyes.
This sudden turn of events startled the five Japanese ninjas. Mr. Du Bian immediately threw a small black ball to the ground, which exploded with a pop, and smoke quickly filled the room, rendering it pitch black.
"Retreat quickly!" Mr. Du Bian promptly ordered a withdrawal, and the five decisively tried to flee through the window in the smoke.
Lin Tian sneered, quickly raised his hand, and several black shadows flew out. Then, screams came from within the smoke.
As the smoke cleared, five people lay sprawled on the ground—no more, no less, exactly five ninjas. Each had a chopstick stuck in their legs, thrown by Lin Tian, penetrating deep.
With a ninja’s skills, even if their legs were hit, they’d still manage to escape. But the chopsticks Lin Tian threw accurately severed their tendons. The tendons in a person’s leg are incredibly tough, and breaking them isn’t easy for most, but Lin Tian’s flying chopsticks were more terrifying than bullets!
"Not bad, really fast reflexes." Lin Tian commented with a playful smile. Honestly, the five ninjas did react quickly, but unfortunately, they encountered their nemesis.
"We’ve been tricked." Mr. San Dao said, somewhat panic-stricken.
"Why? Where did our plan go wrong?" Mr. Du Bian asked, still relatively calm, staring directly at Lin Tian, using stiff Mandarin.
"Your plan wasn’t wrong; I just happened to overhear it." Lin Tian replied coolly.
"Impossible, unless you’re a god. How could you know we were ambushing this hotel?" Mr. Du Bian was very unwilling to accept it, also puzzled, even suspecting a mole.
"Nothing’s impossible." Lin Tian replied nonchalantly. In fact, the Xiao sisters also had no idea how Lin Tian knew.
"You fools, Lin Tian just had us act, and you genuinely thought we were poisoned." Xiao Manxuan said disdainfully, uncomfortable with the way they looked at her.
"Second Miss, speaking of acting, I must say your performance was a bit exaggerated just now, and needs improvement." Lin Tian teased seriously.
Xiao Manxuan tilted her chin proudly, "For these fools, even a tenth of the acting is enough to deceive them."
"Baka..." Mr. Du Bian felt gravely insulted as he saw the two start joking lightly, showing no regard for him as their enemy.
But just as the words left his mouth, Lin Tian suddenly appeared in a flash, slapping him across the face, sending Mr. Du Bian rolling several times, with half his face not just swollen, but broken and bleeding.
Lin Tian detested hearing that particular word from the Japanese, especially after their scheming thoughts earlier. That slap nearly destroyed half of Mr. Du Bian’s face.
