Chapter 1506: Chapter 1503: Forging the Sword (Part 2)

A few dozen minutes later, two cars were parked in front of the Qingshuang Pavilion Ruins. Lin Tian and his team got out, and the four women from the Langya Pavilion also lifted down the iron box.

"You can go back, no need to go in." Ling Zishan instructed the four women, who nodded, saluted, got into the SUV, and went down the mountain again.

One large iron box was left with no one to carry it. Ling Shuiyao looked provocatively at Lin Tian, implying that as a man, he should carry it. Charlotte, however, stepped forward, wanting to help Lin Tian. Though she already had one box in hand, adding another iron box was not a problem for her.

Lin Tian reached out to stop Charlotte, then stepped forward a few steps, grabbed the chain on top of the iron box with one hand, and lifted it up effortlessly.

"Let’s go, Miss Shuiyao," Lin Tian glanced at the little girl and said indifferently.

"What’s there to be smug about? Sheer strength, anyone can have that." Ling Shuiyao lifted her chin defiantly. She certainly had the right to say this because, with her skill, lifting the Heart of the Meteorite was no issue either. The little girl was the first to walk into the Qingshuang Pavilion Ruins.

"Young man, good strength; the heavy work later will be left to you." Tang Banqing irresponsibly dropped a comment and then walked in as well.

Though Lin Tian was speechless, he could only follow. Charlotte was the only one a bit displeased that someone was giving orders to her master, but Lin Tian’s look stopped her from exploding. The Princess, being in a high position for a long time, was used to solitude, and she still had a lot to learn about friendship.

Back at the Nine-story Pagoda, but this time not to climb to the top of the tower, but to walk to the basement. It was the first time Charlotte saw the Sword Furnace, and her eyes were full of astonishment and curiosity.

"Is this the Eastern Sword Casting Furnace? It looks like something from hundreds of years ago," Charlotte said amazedly.

Tang Banqing and Ling Zishan both looked at her and asked in confusion, "Although the young lady is a foreigner, your Mandarin is so good. Have you seen Huaxia sword furnaces from hundreds of years ago?"

Referring to Charlotte as a young lady, even Lin Tian found it awkward. The people present combined hadn’t lived as long as she had, making it sound quite odd.

"Sword furnaces from hundreds of years ago, medicine cauldrons from a thousand years ago, many treasures that have been passed down in Huaxia, I’ve seen quite a few," Charlotte said nonchalantly, her tone leaving Tang Banqing and Ling Zishan full of doubt, as if she belonged to that era.

"Ahem... let’s get started," Lin Tian pretended to cough, interrupting their conversation. Otherwise, if they continued chatting, they might let Ling Zishan see through it. Little did they know, Charlotte really had lived that long.

"Hmm, we should indeed prepare," Tang Banqing’s attention was indeed diverted. She walked over to the sword furnace. Only then did Lin Tian notice a few boxes placed beside the high platform, likely prepared recently. Tang Banqing opened one box and started rummaging, as if she was looking for something.

Suddenly, remembering on the way, in the high and clear weather, with the sun hanging high, Lin Tian felt something was off and had a flash of memory of the weather forecast from a few days ago.

Lin Tian couldn’t help but ask, "Old Tang, the weather seems off. It’s not quite like what you said. Will it affect the sword casting?"

Back then, the old woman calculated today would be a thunderstorm, but outside, it was sunny, not at all like it was going to rain, let alone thunder.

Tang Banqing, however, was calm and unruffled, saying without looking up, "Young man, are you sure you didn’t see it wrong?"

Lin Tian was momentarily dumbfounded. With such a bright sun, how could he see it wrong? But just as this thought came up, a rumbling sound suddenly rolled over, and even in the basement, they could hear it was the sound of thunder. Everyone was stunned for a moment, including Lin Tian, obviously not expecting the thunderstorm to arrive just like that.

Tang Banqing finally straightened up from the box, but her hand had an additional rectangular wooden box. As she walked, she said, "Summer weather changes unpredictably, rain can come just like that, nothing surprising." 𝐟𝕣𝕖𝐞𝐰𝕖𝚋𝐧𝗼𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝗰𝐨𝐦

"Old Tang, what are you holding?" Ling Shuiyao asked curiously. The little girl had no concern for the weather outside; she was only curious about sword casting.

Tang Banqing walked up to Lin Tian, opened the wooden box, revealing a slender blade. It looked a bit like a Japanese katana, but upon closer inspection, it was not a katana but a Tang Sword.

However, the Tang Sword was broken, cut into two sections from the middle, much like the Sword of the King.

Tang Banqing picked up the hilt and introduced, "This sword is called Ghost Orb. The last time Wang Yuanzhou went to Japan and had a great battle with a master from the Sun Shadow Association, the master was holding this very Ghost Orb. Originally a Tang Sword from Huaxia, it wasn’t called Ghost Orb. It’s unclear why it ended up in Japan, becoming a ninja’s weapon and then named Ghost Orb."

"Ghost Orb is a Demon Blade, having slaughtered many, drunk heavily in blood, and like Cunzheng, was consecrated by an Onmyoji, very sinister. When a master uses it, a chilling wind descends. Back then, Wang Yuanzhou fought with the master, and with the Lifeless Sword, broke the Ghost Orb, killing that master. Ghost Orb was brought back by Wang Yuanzhou."

"Through a twist of fate, Ghost Orb ended up in my hands. I tried to restore it to its original Tang Sword form; unfortunately, it was never successful. This matter later was left unresolved, tossed in a corner, and today it’s yours, young man. It’s good material for sword casting," Tang Banqing said generously, not treating the Ghost Orb, known as Cunzheng’s equal, as anything significant, focusing instead on the Tang Sword.

Lin Tian, on the other hand, felt a bit embarrassed, "Ahem, Old Tang helps me cast a sword and even takes out the old stuff, how could I even dare?"

"What old stuff, just a broken sword, if not for the sword casting, I almost forgot it," Tang Banqing waved her hand, nonchalantly.

"Then what is this box? You all didn’t mention it yesterday," Ling Zishan also asked.

Lin Tian opened the box, inside of which was the Sword of the King. Seeing the Sword of the King, Ling Zishan’s eyes lit up, "A Western greatsword, from its shape and hilt patterns, it is... the Sword of the King!"

Indeed worthy of being an appraiser, she immediately recognized the Sword of the King, and Ling Zishan herself was shocked by her conclusion.

"Ling Pavilion Master truly has sharp eyes and vast knowledge, even having studied the records of the Sword of the King," Lin Tian admired.

Ling Zishan shook her head, saying, "I admire the person who broke the Sword of the King."

Lin Tian’s expression turned strange, thinking, isn’t the person who broke the Sword of the King me?

"Lin Tian, grab the materials and follow me. I’ll instruct you on what to do later, time to put what you’ve seen in books these days to practice." Tang Banqing said without more chatter, instructing Lin Tian to head towards the sword furnace.

Moving the items was not difficult for Lin Tian, he swiftly moved everything next to the sword furnace, even the heavy Heart of the Meteorite.

Tang Banqing stepped onto the platform, stomped on a stone slab, and with a click, the ground suddenly shook. As the tremors intensified, changes occurred on the platform with some areas sinking and others rising. After a few minutes, there were massive transformations around the sword furnace.
