She sneakily glanced over the files in his hands, unsure if they were confidential, so she didn’t dare to keep looking; but she again sneakily glanced over at him and saw that his expression was gentle and calm, but their close proximity and his overpowering aura made her heart race, she found it hard to sit still.

"Sit still."

Gu Shaocheng didn’t pay her any mind, he continued with his work, feeling energized with her on his lap, hence he kept holding her like that.
