Young Master Vance Has An Enchanting Wife!-Chapter 356: Vincent Vance Finally Wakes Up
May urgently wanted to go see Vincent, so she impatiently shook off his hand: "I’ve been kidnapped, where else could I go?"
"You were kidnapped? Who kidnapped you? Was it him?" Victor pointed a finger at Jacob’s face, intentionally asking May, "You can’t even lie properly, can you? This man would kidnap you? Clearly, you went to him on purpose, didn’t you? Why are you at the hospital? To take care of Vincent again? You’re remarkable. While I’m at the police station shielding you from storms, you hurry to look after your old flame, right?"
"I didn’t, I was kidnapped by my father. Forget it, this isn’t something that can be clarified in a short while. You should go back first, I’ll come find you later!" Facing Victor’s accusations, May sighed helplessly, trying to send him away.
At this moment, the elevator door happened to open. Seeing this, May decisively walked in, Jacob said nothing, and quickly followed her. Seeing the two of them ignoring him, Victor angrily blocked the elevator door with his body.
"Where are you going? You can’t go anywhere right now, come home with me!" Victor grabbed May’s hand, wanting to pull her out of the elevator.
Seeing this, Jacob quickly grabbed Victor’s wrist, forcing him to release May’s arm: "Mr. Grant, it’s better to be a gentleman in front of a lady."
Victor violently shook off his hand and shouted angrily, "Who are you to lecture me? What do you think you are?"
Jacob replied indifferently, "I’m Young Master Vance’s bodyguard. I’m currently ordered to ensure Miss Morgan’s safety. Before she sees our young master, no one is allowed to touch her."
Victor found Jacob’s words extremely laughable. Ordered by Vincent? Does Vincent even know if he’s alive or dead right now?
"Your young master is half-dead, and you still receive his orders? I suggest you get lost quickly before you make me unhappy!" Victor pointed at Jacob’s face, threatening him harshly.
Jacob’s lips curled slightly into a provocative look at Victor: "Who told you our young master is currently unconscious?"
Huh?
Jacob’s words made Victor’s heart skip a beat. He knew Jacob wouldn’t say such things without reason unless Vincent really had woken up!
He’s awake? When did this happen?
Victor looked at May in surprise, but seeing the obvious signs of avoidance on her face, his heart sank, and he decisively got into the elevator, going up with May.
May looked up at Victor standing between her and Jacob, and softly pleaded, "Could you please go back first? As soon as I see that Vincent is okay, I’ll leave immediately."
Victor crossed his arms and sneered, "No problem, you go ahead. Don’t worry about me. After all, Vincent and I are old acquaintances. Since his wife is with me now, I must notify him, right? So he doesn’t remain in the dark while he’s unconscious."
The elevator doors quickly opened. May, not bothering to argue with Victor, turned and ran toward Vincent’s ward. Seeing her urgency, Victor’s expression darkened, and he quickly followed.
Before May even reached the door, she saw many doctors and nurses gathered outside Vincent’s ward, their faces clearly showing signs of joy.
Seeing the expressions on their faces, May felt immensely happy because she knew this must mean Vincent had woken up!
She pushed aside the people crowding the door and quickly ran inside to check the situation. Just then, Vincent’s attending doctor came out, congratulating May right away: "Congratulations, Mrs. Vance, Young Master Vance is awake!"
May had been taking care of Vincent in the hospital these past days, so everyone was used to calling her Mrs. Vance. May didn’t mind and hurried inside to see Vincent.
However, Victor, who followed closely behind, looked quite unhappy. What Mrs. Vance? Clearly, she’s his wife, Mrs. Grant!
Vincent had just woken up, and his body hadn’t regained its basic functions, so he could only lie in bed for now. But he could move his head and speak.
"Vincent, you’re really awake?" May still felt like she was dreaming, looking at Vincent lying in bed from head to toe. It wasn’t until he smiled and said to her, "Silly girl, of course, I’m awake." that she burst into tears of joy.
"Did you know? I thought you might never wake up again." May cried as she complained to Vincent, "You scared me to death. Do you know how worried I was about you?"
The smile on Vincent’s lips widened as he weakly extended a hand to wipe the tears from May’s delicate face, tenderly advising her, "Don’t cry anymore, haven’t I woken up?"
"Okay, I won’t cry. Your waking up is a joyful occasion, why should I cry?" May awkwardly smiled, looking around cluelessly for a moment, unsure of what to do: "Um, do you want to get up and move around?"
"Not yet, the doctor said to take it slow. I’ve been lying down for too long, and I can’t rush things." Vincent sighed helplessly, touching May’s face apologetically, "Thank you for taking care of me all these days."
Surprised, May looked up at Vincent, impulsively asking, "You, you knew I was taking care of you?"
"Yes, although I couldn’t move, I was conscious. I was aware of everything happening around me."
Vincent wasn’t really unconscious due to blood loss; his body had been sealed off, but his consciousness and soul were intact. So he knew very well what occurred in his room these days.
Naturally, he was also well aware of the impending marriage between Victor and May.
Victor pushed open the door and came in, seeing May holding Vincent’s hand, chatting and smiling. Instantly, his jealousy flared up, pulling May up from her chair by the arm.
"Talking is fine, but don’t be so touchy-feely. Imagine what others might think?" Victor warned May with a face full of discomfort.
May was greatly annoyed by Victor. How was she being touchy-feely with Vincent? Vincent couldn’t even move right now!
"Victor, could you leave for a bit? I’m not finished talking with Vincent yet!" Not wanting to argue with Victor in front of Vincent, May softly negotiated with him.
But Victor stood on the side with an overbearing stance, provocatively looking at the two of them: "What else do you need to talk to him about? Haven’t you told him about our wedding in a few days? No worries, I’ll have someone send him an invitation letter soon!"
Victor deliberately mentioned their upcoming wedding to Vincent, indirectly warning him that May was his woman now, and to not make any moves on his wife.
