Young Master Vance Has An Enchanting Wife!-Chapter 355: Her Destiny and Belonging
The old man regretfully shook his head, sighing, "Not really, that Mr. Grant, like Young Master Vance, is merely a passerby in your cycle of reincarnation. They are infatuated with your appearance, but your roots are tied elsewhere. Ultimately, you will have to return."
May’s face stiffened for a moment, and reluctantly she asked again, "Is it... that man? The man in white clothes?"
This time, the old man finally nodded, saying, "It’s him. He is the man who gave you a second life. Everything you have was given by him, so in the end, no matter how many emotional trials you experience in the world, you still have to go back."
Speaking up to this point, the old man couldn’t help but cast a profound glance at Jacob, then advised May in a deep voice, "Every man who is with you will eventually endure much suffering. Young Master Vance is a very good example. For everyone’s good, I advise you to leave them."
May’s heart sank, and her eyes instantly welled up. She bit her lip and stubbornly glanced at Jacob and Mr. Landry, "Why should I listen to you? Based on your one-sided story, should I abandon Vincent? I still don’t even know who that man is. I don’t even know him, so why should I go back to his side? The one I love is Vincent. His place in my heart is irreplaceable."
Jacob was surprised and glanced at May, feeling a bit conflicted. He never imagined that May’s feelings for Vincent would be so deep.
"Miss Morgan, for the sake of the young master, I hope you will stay away from him. After all, you don’t want to see him end up like before, do you?" Jacob patiently tried to persuade May.
May wiped away her aggrieved tears and turned to look at Jacob, "Jacob, what if I say no? What if I refuse to give up Vincent?"
Jacob clenched his fists, and somewhat forcefully told her, "Then I will have to use force against you."
"You!" May never expected that Jacob would say something so cold and heartless, and she couldn’t help but get angry and clenched her fists tightly.
Jacob didn’t want to use force on May. Seeing her impatience, he helplessly threatened her, "If you insist, then I’ll have to call Victor Grant."
After speaking, he really took out his phone from his pocket and was about to call Victor Grant.
May knew that as soon as he told Victor who she was with, she would never have the chance to visit Vincent in the hospital again.
"Jacob, don’t call. I, I promise you. I will go to the hospital to see Vincent, and once I see that he’s fine, I’ll leave peacefully and never bother him again, okay?"
May suddenly looked at Jacob with a face full of grievance and pleaded bitterly, "I just can’t let him go. Just let me see him once. If I see he’s okay, I’ll go back willingly and marry Victor Grant, and I’ll never bother him again, okay?"
Jacob opened his mouth, about to speak, when Mr. Landry suddenly sighed and turned to Jacob, "Just fulfill her wish. Even if she doesn’t go, once Young Master Vance wakes up, he’ll go to look for her. It would be better for everyone to express their feelings clearly, so things don’t get too awkward later."
Mr. Landry’s words moved Jacob’s heart, and he finally relented. He sighed helplessly, stood up, and said to May, "Then I’ll take you to see him, but I hope this will be your last time entangling with the young master."
May quickly wiped away her tears and nodded vigorously to Jacob, "I know, I know, I’ll listen to you."
Jacob looked at her tear-stricken face and eventually couldn’t help but take out a tissue and handed it to her, "Wipe your tears."
May was taken aback at the tissue handed to her and awkwardly took it.
On the way to the hospital, Jacob suddenly felt apologetic and said to May, "Miss Morgan, I’m not such a heartless person. Actually, I also hope you and Young Master Vance can grow old together. But you have to understand that you and he really aren’t suitable."
May lowered her head, fiddling with her fingers, and said somewhat unwillingly, "You can fight fate. I don’t know since when you became so superstitious."
Jacob glanced at May, bitterly smiling, "I can’t help but believe. I was an atheist before, but things kept happening around me, leaving me no choice but to believe."
"What’s Mr. Landry’s background? Why should I believe what he says?" May asked again, unwilling to accept.
"Because he can help the young master ward off evil, I trust him!" Jacob gripped the steering wheel decisively, telling May sternly, "The young master once saved my life, and I swore to protect him forever, so don’t blame me for being harsh. I can’t let the young master be put in danger just because of a woman."
His words left May with no argument. Everyone has their own master to serve and task to accomplish. From Jacob’s standpoint, shielding Vincent from any potential danger is understandable.
"I know, I’m not blaming you." May bit her lip and forced herself to say to Jacob, "Actually, I’ve already agreed with Victor Grant to have our wedding in a few days, so even if you don’t say anything, I wouldn’t really stay by Vincent’s side. Today, I’m just going to see him, and once I see he’s okay, I’ll be relieved."
Saying this, May felt a pang in her nose and suddenly couldn’t help crying again, "Jacob, you haven’t loved anyone before, so you don’t understand what emotions are, what it feels like to have your heart cut like a knife. I don’t blame you, really. I’m actually gratified to see you considering Vincent so carefully. Even without you breaking us apart, we couldn’t be together. I owe Victor Grant, and I have to repay those debts."
Jacob turned to look at May, seeing her tear-streaked face, and his heart softened. He pulled out a few more tissues and handed them over, advising her helplessly, "You have to understand, Young Master Vance just woke up, and the Vance Clan is in chaos right now. There are too many things he needs to handle. At this time, if he forcefully keeps you by his side, Victor Grant will definitely target him. You’ve seen the power of the Grant Family. The Vance Clan at its peak couldn’t compete with them, let alone now."
"Don’t say it. I know, I understand, just drive." May knew full well what Jacob was analyzing. Of course, she knew that with her and Vincent’s current situations, they couldn’t possibly contend against Victor Grant. Once Victor Grant retaliates against Vincent because of her, Vincent would be finished. So the best outcome is for each to be well.
As soon as Jacob and May reached the hospital lobby, they hadn’t even had time to take the elevator when they saw Victor Grant appear in the hospital lobby.
Victor quickly spotted May and Jacob, his face darkened, and he swiftly approached the two of them, grabbing May’s hand.
"You’re indeed with Jacob? May, do you even know how long I’ve been looking for you?" Victor questioned May almost with a face full of agitation.
