You Think I Won't Talk?-Chapter 689
"Do as I told you. For sure." — He ordered again, menacing, reluctant to let her go without her understanding it. — "Don’t do more nor less."
"!... Ouf! You are hurting me! I am aware!"
"... just do as you are supposed to Theressa. What happened with your maid I will make up for it."
"?? It is the least you should do. May you let me go now, your highness?... to do as ORDERED." — Silently while staring into her rebellious eyes, Sverre finally released her and she fled the place, rushed, running more after he saw Prince Niccolò approach so merrily.
"Agh... this is too much~"
’Gosh! I don’t need to meet such a guy now!’ — Out of breath, she hid, praying he would not walk into her but peeking a glance as his sound was slightly off. — ’?? What happened to him??’
"Cursed beast. Zeleskiaz cannot take a joke even when his Empire depends on keeping its peace..." — The foreign prince, beaten up with a broken nose and cut lip, limped as he walked. — "These brothers are insane... both are crazy for the Sylfinnier sisters... Sverre will get his but it’s a shame I can’t keep the Ninth... sigh, such a body to lose... ma... it pains me."
’Get his?... no... No, Theressa, don’t think about it.’ — Blank at what she heard, the girl shook her head. Quickly making her way to Marianne’s chambers yet not making it as she met Marianne’s close guards, her maid and Royce as well.
"Lady Theressa!"
"!! Paige! Where’s Marianne!? Shouldn’t she be with you??" — Theressa asked the maid, holding onto her arms, concerned.
"After that earthquake, we entered her chambers yet she was nowhere to be found. Just now, we—"
"We must hurry, her aura is unstable, I might lose track of her!" — Vitor interrupted while running. Followed by the others immediately after even while confused by the situation unfolding.
"Can’t you just tell me where she is??! I can get there quicker with my Umbra’s skills!!"
"If I do, will you stay hidden?! Your presence might put both of you in danger! If you die before our lady it won’t help us, Theo!"
"D*mn it, Vitor!!"
"You should have trained your skill more!!" — Vitor reproached Theo, knowing that sooner than later he would be able to find on his own their lady for the closer they got the easier it would be even if unstable. Hence, as soon as he noticed the force of her being become stronger, his hand moved faster so it could stop the reckless umbra. — "Don’t dive on your own!"
"Kuh- Cough!! Vitor!? Are you insane?! Can’t you sense that other aura she’s with?!?"
"We have to be careful exactly because of that!" — The women, Paige and Theresa would shortly reach them and in the meantime, both guards needed to learn the situation so safety could be guaranteed. — "You should know this! Aren’t you part of the umbra quadrigis??"
"I’m a cast out for a reason! Not staying in the shadows at times like this is what makes the clan hate me!"
"Then do it for once, otherwise you might die and our lady too!"
"..."
"... Lady Karina is with her..." — Vitor said, recognising in the putrid ambience surrounding Marianne, in a room they could not enter, the aura of the evil one. — "... Lady Marianne... it seems that she’s controlling her being... I sense fear however..."
"... let me try, let me sneak inside."
"..."
"I won’t do anything rash, Vitor."
"..."
"Huff! Huff... S-sir Vitor... you are too fast..." — Paige arriving without air, gasped alongside Theressa whose demeanour was better than expected, meeting the two knights looking severe. — "Why... why are you standing here...?"
"W-where is my sister?... huff..."
"She’s inside." — At Vitor’s response, Theressa immediately moved, ready to intrude in a dangerous place. However, both men stopped her. Yet the one who was once a scholar was the one to speak his mind. — "If you want to enter, you cannot do it without a plan Miss."
"Theodore, little do I care for plans right now." — Theressa replied, annoyed at the orders she couldn’t understand.
"Vitor was right. If we do something and mess up it might place our lady in danger." — Theodore admitted, looking him right in the eye as if coming to an agreement. — "Hear me out... it doesn’t look like we have much time."
A pressure the women could not sense was making itself obvious as they spoke. The plan was simple as well as dangerous. Little clarity was in it for little did they know about what could happen or what those inside were hiding. Nonetheless, the goal was clear for the guards, the maid and the sister: to protect Marianne and flee the battlefield the palace was about to become.

"Paul has a unique manner of love... You know this well, don’t you Marianne?" — As if her voice was now a faraway echo even while whispering this to my ear, I blankly stared at my feet, unable to see what happened after the scene she just showed me. — "It is now your mother’s turn. I expect your romantic brother to let them stay together in death. He might drag her to your chambers so she can die there."
"... stop this."
"Hm? What did you say? Are you becoming mute again?"
"What you showed is not true!? E-even Paul wouldn’t— even someone like him wouldn’t—"
"Wouldn’t kill his own parents?" — She smirked almost letting out her laugh while I felt ripped inside by her completing my sentence. — "Marianne... oh, Marianne... just like Calla, you believe you know everything, that there is still hope for those you love... that evilness is not real for sure..."
"?! What? Huh!? What is this?!?? Don’t touch me—!? Agh! Mph!!" — At her slow approach, I felt my feet suddenly being held down, my eyesight became hazy and in a split second, her hand held me by the jaw. Stabbing her nails on my skin while what held onto my feet climbed to wrap my body hostage and silent so she could feel overpowering me.
"Open your eyes. Helpless you are in my hands. What you stole I will retrieve tenfold... Paul did and will continue to do as I wish. It has always been like that. His soul’s been mine ever since you as a child gave him a measly peddle in the innocence of youth."
