You Think I Won't Talk?-Chapter 682
Marianne’s rush settled down at the distress in Zeleskiaz’s face. She pondered in silence, recalling the scene, looking at the mattress behind him. Yet the more she took to contemplate on the feelings she experienced the more anxious and hurt Zeleskiaz became.
"... you did... didn’t you?" — Releasing her wrist, Marianne saw the sadness govern the ultramarine. Knowing that the answer was not what he feared.
"I was afraid of it being true." — She said, honest to the knot in her heart. — "At times... I often think how I was never meant to be by your side..."
The story where she was dead could never leave her head for those who did exist in it were right in front of her, playing with the confidence and the mortality of a woman who knows she cannot change what may be meant to be. Nevertheless, the blackness in her head when seeing them on his mattress was more of disbelief than that of grief, for it did not make sense... for in her soul what was meant to be was not a story simply written in a past life but the story that she was living. 𝒇𝒓𝒆𝒆𝙬𝒆𝒃𝓷𝒐𝓿𝙚𝙡.𝒄𝓸𝒎
"When I saw you like that it only appeared... unnatural to my eye. I was more shocked at how my mind yelled not to be dumb and not believe that you betrayed my love than the fact that you might have been cheating on me."
"I would never..." — Zeleskiaz’s sound cracked, letting a tear come out after relief washed his grief away. — "I would never do that... You are... who I write letters without an address... my core solely remains alive to think about the loveliness of you... everything, my everything is devoted to you, Anne... I could never..."
"I... I know my love..." — Caressing the tear falling, Marianne’s heart throbbed in pain to see her love vulnerable. — "My heart and head know... honestly... what truly bothered me was the hand she dared to place on you..."
"... it hurts, Anne." — At the trace her worried hand left on his chest, Zeleskiaz mumbled. Leaning on her forehead while preciously touching her ear to keep her visage close. — "Thinking you might not trust this love hurts so deeply, Marianne, Love..."
"I trust it." — She replied without doubt, stroking the limbs of her love granting a smile. — "I would let myself drown in this belief knowing that this feeling will keep me safe and alive, my dear."
"... and I am to nourish sweetly this belief as it is the truth... so as you drown you won’t suffer but enjoy the pamper of warm water... so you can see me wherever you look just as I do as I think of you at every moment, every day, my beloved."
A ginger giggle was released by the lady, and his smile returned handsome to the man feeling the weight abandon them. Confirming what the couple already knew. — "Then... we are clear now, Anne?"
"Yes, we are." — Gentle and sweet she made his insides flutter with an ethereal whisper. Inviting his body to steal a kiss. Yet as he moved to earn it... — "Alright! I need to go after Karina now!"
"?! Wait, don’t go alone."
"But I think it is best to do so." — Determined, Marianne’s confidence was gentle to the worried lover. He was already aware that Karina was behind part of the attacks towards Marianne, and both knew that the evil to fight was on Karina’s side.
Marianne’s confidence was indeed unsettling for the acute nose of the beastly man as well as for the deity protecting his blood.
The strength of the man, his care and passionate stare while poorly dressed caused her to giggle excitedly. The danger was nothing compared with the delight of feeling unwavering trust for the beloved. Her thoughts only went back to darkness thinking for a slight moment that Karina’s aim was to forcefully take what was not hers to receive... Zeleskiaz’s love... which in a split second became a realisation.
’Even in their story... it was only lust... not love...’ — She thought, thrilled to acknowledge what they were in a story that is no more real. — ’Ours is both... and much more...’
"Zel... I will be fine." — Caressing the devoted man whose silhouette shone even in the dark softened by the moon’s sneaky light, her proposing sigh ultimately closed her lids. Whispering gently her wishes. — "If I am mistaken... run..."
"!?... Anne..." — Afraid, he frowned, unaware of her true meaning.
"Reach out to me, my love... won’t your hand always be there for me to take?"
"Fuhh... misleading me is unfair, my love. You scared me."
"Hehe~ I am sorry." — Her hands traced down his body as she intended to go again with the summoning of each other’s chuckles. Yet Zeleskiaz’s hands held onto her curves with a grasp that would not allow such without granting the grazes he craved.
"I am who is sorry, love." — Leaning, he sighed manly. — "You cannot go until I taste your flesh."
"Nh... o-only... only for a bit... otherwise..."
"I can track her down so you won’t miss where that thing went. You have no excuses."
"Oh... haha~ you should have said so earlier~"
It was as if each other’s scents mixed with the other in a passionate graze. The shape of her body so intensely embraced by the arms and the strength of the man touched by the bewildered but entranced woman had them breathless and drowning in a warmth more intoxicating than ever. The taste was tender and slippery, inducing a fever the two were anticipating insanely while the time felt endless... so endless that it felt too long for the little time they truly had.
"Mh... fuh... e-enough..." — She managed to breathe out. Being contradicted by the excited Zeleskiaz.
"No... love, it’s never enough and you well know that..."
"Y-yes... but I need to go..."
She had been weakened. Marianne’s body had fallen deeply for the pleasure of his temperature and passionate taste but thankfully he understood her troubled expression, thrilled by it while collecting himself and restraining this never-ending crave with the certainty of his plans.
"Fine..." — He agreed with a malicious smirk giving a last peck. — "Should I tell you where to go or guide you, my love?"
"Just... just tell me where to go..." — With him still close, she battled the seduction of his voice. Marianne listened with fluster as he made the directions troublesome while whispering them in her ear. Lightly touching the edge of it with his lip as he finished.
"... did you understand where to go?... hm~?"
"Y-...yes..." — Marianne nodded, troubled by her lower body, saying goodbye as she sneakily closed the door behind her.
Zeleskiaz swallowed with insatiable thirst at the silent echo she left. Talking to himself a calming prayer while supporting himself on the door he had trapped her against.
"It’s fine... the proposal is being prepared... only a little more and... this insane composure will be something of the past..." — ’Now... It’s best if I don’t just stay behind.’
The instinct of the crown prince was that of a hero and a beastly deity. Remaining in place while Marianne went into danger was not wise for his taste nor smell. At some distance he would roam... and in the meantime, the meeting of the Chosen Ninth and Karina would detonate ages of vengeance and rage.
