X-ray Eyes Little Wild Doctor-Chapter 179 - 174: Automatic Healing
Chapter 179: Chapter 174: Automatic Healing
The wall clock ticked away as the sun quickly descended over Wu River, casting the evening’s afterglow over the river’s surface. Thousands of waves glittered with gold, and the slowly moving ships created ripples on the water. The sound of the ship’s whistle was melodious and pleasing to the ear. Truly, the scene was picturesque; standing inside the Jin Guan City villa and looking out, one felt that life could be so comfortable.
But for Ye Tian at this moment, behind this beautiful scenery was hidden danger, as if a pair of ferocious eyes were watching him, ready to pounce at any moment.
The villa was extremely quiet; Ye Tian stood in front of the floor-to-ceiling window for a very long time, not moving at all.
It was already the end of the workday, and Yun Xinyan, who had been tired all day, pushed the door open to enter. Then she saw the scars on Ye Tian’s face.
"What happened to you? Why are you injured? Let me take a look!" Yun Xinyan quickly dropped her bag, her eyes filled with concern. If anything were to happen to Ye Tian, she wouldn’t want to go on living.
Ye Tian smiled faintly, "It’s nothing; it will be healed by tomorrow."
"What exactly happened to you? You didn’t come in the afternoon. Did you encounter any danger?" Looking at the bruised and battered Ye Tian, the voice of Yun Xinyan, the domineering CEO, carried a hint of choking sobs.
Without any small talk or pleasantries, Yun Xinyan walked out of the bedroom with tears in her eyes, took out the household first-aid kit, dipped a cotton swab in alcohol, and carefully cleaned the scratches on Ye Tian’s face.
The cuts were from shards of glass, and Ye Tian had not tended to them. Some wounds still contained fragments of glass and broken pieces of metal. Yun Xinyan used tweezers to remove the glass from the wounds, repeatedly asking Ye Tian if it hurt.
Ye Tian just smiled and said nothing, while she felt more and more heartache. Teardrops circulated in her eyes; despite being a tough CEO, her tears did not fall.
"Xinyan, promise me that no matter what, you will never leave me, okay?" Ye Tian suddenly held Yun Xinyan’s hands tight and asked tenderly.
The loss of his brother had weighed heavily on Ye Tian’s heart; he suddenly understood the value of those who were still present. Those who had died could not be brought back, but those who were alive were worth cherishing even more.
"What nonsense are you talking about? Why would I leave you? Don’t forget, our contract states that we will grow old together, and neither of us can terminate it unilaterally."
It was only when Yun Xinyan said this that she saw Ye Tian’s right hand. Even though it was bandaged with two layers of gauze, she could still clearly see the horrifying through-and-through injury.
Only half of his palm was left; the enormous cavity in the palm made her feel heart-wrenchingly painful. The tears she had been holding back for so long immediately rolled down her face like raindrops beating on pear blossoms.
"It’s not a big deal, just a minor injury. Look at you, you’re even crying," said Ye Tian with a shrug. "Why did it have to be the right hand? Damn, I relied on this hand to flirt with girls. This is tragic; now I won’t even be able to masturbate."
Ye Tian’s face was adorned with a brilliant smile, still the carefree man he always was. He lifted his other hand to wipe Yun Xinyan’s tears away and cheekily began to crack dirty jokes.
Yun Xinyan’s heart ached as if it were being cut. She knew full well that Ye Tian said these things only to comfort her. She was not an ordinary woman but a domineering CEO who controlled a vast conglomerate. She immediately held back her tears, not allowing her suffering to show.
"Wife, if you ruin your beautiful makeup with crying, you won’t look pretty anymore. Then I might not like you," Ye Tian teased, smiling from ear to ear.
"In times like these, you still have the mood to joke around. Come on, let’s go to the hospital. With such serious injuries, you need proper treatment. Starting tomorrow, you’ll be on leave. Don’t come to the office until you have fully healed."
Yun Xinyan was always decisive and authoritative, standing up immediately, she grabbed her trench coat and took the McLaren keys from the coffee table, ready to take Ye Tian to the hospital.
Ye Tian knew his own body well. Not to mention palm injuries, he had endured far worse. These minor wounds really didn’t matter to him.
"Wife, if you truly care about me, you’d be better off playing the flute for me instead of all this. I guarantee I’ll be as lively as a dragon," said Ye Tian, mischievously.
Yun Xinyan shook her head firmly and retorted seriously, "No way. You must go to the hospital today. After you’ve healed, you can play however you like, but not now."
Ye Tian was helpless, gave a shrug and said, "Scars are a man’s medal of honor. Such a small injury doesn’t require a hospital visit; it will just get around that I can’t handle it. A wash is all it needs, and I’ll be better by tomorrow."
"Nonsense, it’s so serious and you still call it a minor injury? If you don’t go to the hospital, you won’t be healed by next year, let alone tomorrow. Are you going or not? Otherwise, I’ll call a private doctor to come home and treat you," Yun Xinyan said as she started to search in the drawer for a business card of some private doctor.
"I told you it’s not a big deal. I’ll definitely be better by tomorrow."
Ye Tian appeared somewhat exasperated, so he hopped off the water bed, lightly bent his left arm, and scooped the dainty Yun Xinyan under his armpit. Then he leaped onto the bed and spread his pierced palm open in front of her, saying, "It really can heal on its own, I’m not lying to you. Don’t believe me? Look."
Yun Xinyan naturally did not believe him, struggling to get out of bed to make the call, saying, "At a time like this, you still find the will to joke around. You really don’t take things to heart, do you?"
But Ye Tian simply wouldn’t let her go, pinning her firmly beneath him. Yun Xinyan had no strength to resist, so she ended up looking at Ye Tian’s palm perfunctorily.
She was immediately shocked to see that the hole in Ye Tian’s palm was healing at a rate visible to the naked eye.
"How, how is this possible!" Yun Xinyan’s eyes widened in disbelief. The scene before her was too shocking, completely beyond her understanding of the human body, and beyond the explanation of science.
Yun Xinyan hardly dared to believe her own eyes, and as she observed closely once again, the wound had actually healed a great deal. What was once a gaping bloody hole was now not so startling anymore.
"I told you I wasn’t lying to you, now do you believe me?" Ye Tian said carelessly, "This healing speed is actually on the slow side. If you rinse the wound with tap water to clean the dirt, it heals even faster."
Ye Tian did as he said and got out of bed immediately, walking into the bathroom. Yun Xinyan heard the sound of the tap and then saw Ye Tian come back with his right hand wet and dripping with water.
Yun Xinyan was both shocked and curious, once again focusing on Ye Tian’s palm to watch.
Just as Ye Tian said, after rinsing with tap water, the palm’s healing speed was indeed faster. With the current rate, it wouldn’t even take until morning for a full recovery, probably by one or two at dawn, he’d be completely healed.
"How did you do this? This is simply a medical miracle!" Yun Xinyan asked curiously.
Ye Tian, acting nonchalant as if he were used to it, flashed a grin and said, "That’s my big secret. Unless you play the flute for me, you can keep on guessing, hehehe."
"You’re awful, never serious!"
Yun Xinyan immediately blushed, her small fists pounding forcefully against Ye Tian’s chest. The hits were quite strong, and the injured Ye Tian immediately started coughing, as if he couldn’t catch his breath, his face turning red as he thrashed his legs and his eyes slowly rolled back, clearly on the verge of suffocation.
"Ye Tian, what’s wrong with you!" Yun Xinyan panicked, filled with regret. She knew Ye Tian was seriously hurt, yet she still hit him with such force.
"Don’t scare me, get up quickly, wuu wuu wuu..."
In total panic, Yun Xinyan watched as Ye Tian’s eyes rolled back completely, his tongue stiffened as it stuck out, white foam flowing from the corners of his mouth, and his violently thrashing legs gradually lost strength, clearly showing the symptoms of suffocation.
In desperation and out of options, Yun Xinyan pinched Ye Tian’s nose, took a breath, bent down, and started to give Ye Tian mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
After she blew a breath into Ye Tian’s mouth, his body did not react, becoming stiffer. Yun Xinyan, at her wit’s end and close to tears, muttering it’s all my fault, it’s all my fault, took another deep breath and continued with the artificial respiration.
The one frothing at the mouth, Ye Tian suddenly burst out laughing, pulled Yun Xinyan into his arms, nibbled on her fragrant face, and said with a mischievous smile, "So you do care about me that much, huh? Tsk tsk tsk, I’m touched."
Yun Xinyan was momentarily stunned, thinking weren’t you about to die, how come you are suddenly fine now, no need to ask it’s clear she was tricked by him.
"Ye Tian! You’re sleeping on the couch tonight!" Yun Xinyan exploded with anger, her fists clenched tightly.
"Don’t be so heartless. I am injured, you know. Can’t you show a little love?" Ye Tian had no intention of sleeping on the couch, pulled Yun Xinyan into the bed with him, and didn’t get out of it again.
Happy times are always short-lived; they both emerged from their activities covered in sweat and took a joint shower.
Around ten o’clock at night, Yun Xinyan fell into a deep sleep, but Ye Tian lay in bed wide awake, the horrific state of Ye Ying vivid in his mind, and the King of Hell still lurking in the shadows.
Ye Tian silently got out of bed and, as usual, went to the underground practice room. He quietly practiced the Inner Clan Mastery until he was soaked in sweat, and only then did he stop his exercises.
He raised his right hand to observe it carefully; the hole had gotten much smaller. The crystal inside his body was emitting a stream of miraculous energy, still constantly nourishing the wound, speeding up its healing impressively.
"What exactly is this crystal?" Ye Tian wondered.
Ye Tian was very clear in his mind that this Crystal Ball was custom-made for him by the King of Hell, with the purpose of revenge. But now, this Crystal Ball was actually repairing his flesh. Whether it was good or bad, he was unclear.
No matter what, the Crystal Ball was an object from the King of Hell, and right now, Ye Tian depended on it to heal his injuries, having no other choice.
During the static phase of his Inner Clan Mastery practice earlier, Ye Tian had already discovered internal injuries, underestimating the power of the C4 explosive.
Such a high-powered explosive is widely used for a reason, one of which is its immense power.
Even Ye Tian, with his resilient body, had still suffered internal injuries.
