Wrong Love, Final Goodbye: She'll Never Look Back-Chapter 328: Felix Kendall Is Back
Tanya was awakened by the aroma of food.
Opening her eyes, she saw Declan’s back as he brought the food over and placed it on the low table.
Declan was in his pajamas; even just his back view somehow put her at ease. Tanya hugged her pillow and blinked.
"Declan..." she called his name, her voice hoarse and intimate, conjuring some unspeakable images in her mind.
Tanya felt her face heat up and pulled up the quilt.
As Declan turned around, he only saw a pair of eyes exposed; he walked over, revealing marks she left under his collar.
"Do you want me to bring it to the bed?" he asked.
Tanya shook her head, "I want some water."
Declan went to the bar to pour her some water. Taking advantage of this moment, Tanya slipped into one of Declan’s shirts, the hem just reaching her thighs.
When Declan came back with the glass of water, she was already sitting on the sofa next to the low table, eyeing the food with anticipation. Declan sat down next to her, naturally holding her bare calf, and pulled a thin blanket over her.
"In the future, we need to prepare some clothes for you," he said.
The words "in the future" came out of his mouth so naturally, it was almost enough for her to believe they really would have a long future together.
"Declan."
"Hm?" He looked up, eyes dark and heavy with unspoken tenderness.
Tanya reached out to touch his face, "Once I finish my current tasks and Zeke has finished testing your medication, can I move in with you? I’ll help you condition your body and make sure you take your medicine properly."
Declan took her hand, agreeing almost without hesitation, "Okay."
He never said no to her.
Whatever she said, went.
Tanya felt a wave of emotion for no reason.
She thought, they’ll find a way.
She’ll find a way to keep him.
When Tanya had almost finished eating, a call came to her phone.
It was already early morning, and surprisingly, it was Abby calling.
Worried something was wrong, Tanya answered immediately.
"Abby?"
"Ms. Sinclair!" It was Abby’s babysitter’s voice on the other end, flustered, "I’m so sorry to disturb you this late, but Abby’s got a high fever in the middle of the night. I’ve brought her to the hospital, and she’s a bit delirious, kept calling for Aunt Sinclair..."
Tanya pressed her lips together slightly, "Which hospital? Send me the address, I’ll come right away."
"Oh, I’m really sorry to trouble you."
After hanging up, Tanya received the address from the babysitter. She explained the situation to Declan before hurriedly changing her clothes. By the time she was done and downstairs, Declan was already waiting.
He’d changed into casual wear, a simple white shirt with black dress pants, and an overcoat, looking stylish as always.
Declan personally drove her to the hospital.
In the hospital room, Abby was receiving an IV; Tanya went over and touched her feverish, flushed little face, then spoke with the doctor. Declan leaned against the door for a moment, watching without interrupting. He sent Tanya a text message, then turned to go buy some mild food suitable for a child. 𝐟𝕣𝗲𝕖𝕨𝗲𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝗲𝚕.𝗰𝚘𝐦
After shopping, Declan returned, parked the car at the entrance, and carried the food into the hospital.
"Mr. Pierce." A man’s deep, playful voice.
Declan paused, then turned around to see Felix Kendall striding over energetically.
"I didn’t expect the first person I’d see upon returning would be Second Young Master Pierce." Felix raised an amused eyebrow and glanced at the food in Declan’s hands, "For Abby? I didn’t realize that Second Young Master Pierce had such a meticulous side."
