Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree-Chapter 550: Multiple Magic Skills at Max Level
The wizards at Blade Ridge Camp mostly did not know what exactly happened, but they knew that the Sea Race had put on quite a grand spectacle to welcome a mysterious girl back to their side.
However, regarding the girl’s origins and identity, most people knew nothing. Those who did have some information would not spread it around carelessly.
The Sea Race was even more secretive about the matter, never mentioning it to any outsiders.
Occasionally, when wizards attempted to bribe some members of the Sea Race for details, it would directly anger the Sea Race, leading to several minor conflicts over this.
This matter seemed like merely an interlude and quickly faded, drawing less and less attention.
Duke and his team returned to their mission, beginning to follow the main forces to eliminate one after another of the Insect Race’s underwater mother nests.
In the following three months, Duke’s life was filled with the cycle of battle, transfer, recuperation, and battling again.
These three months were a blend of blood and fire.
Duke followed the team, traversing areas covered and transformed by the Insect Race’s organisms.
They plunged into mother nests hidden in deep ocean trenches, filled with sticky hatching chambers and twisted Insect Race architecture, as well as engaged in brutal frontal battles against swarms of insects surging like tides on the open sea floor.
Even though they had a large Slave Creature Legion as their main combat force, the wizards, including Duke, could not avoid various types of close encounters, albeit with relatively lower risks.
Since Duke’s promotion to a Crystalized Wizard, he had not experienced high-intensity combat, and this provided a rare opportunity for tempering.
The strength of the Six-Element Compound Spiritual Crystal was fully revealed in combat, giving him combat strength far beyond that of ordinary Crystalized Wizards.
The three months of high-intensity combat training not only stabilized Duke’s Crystalized Wizard level, but also helped him refine the synergy between the advantages of his Six-Element Compound Spiritual Power and Sand Guardian talent.
He could clearly feel his comprehension of various elements, his grasp of combat rhythm, and his detailed control over Spiritual Power had all been elevated to a new level.
Now, he was undeniably the top among Level 1 Crystalized Wizards.
During these three months, due to the high-intensity battles, he also mastered multiple Level 1 Magic spells to their maximum level.
[Eye of Darkness: LV9 (Trait: Fixed)]
[Shadow Perception: LV9]
[Fixed: The ability of the Eye of Darkness is fixed as a talent ability, without the need to additionally summon the Eye of Darkness]
First were two scouting spells. Originally, to use Eye of Darkness, one had to summon an Eye of Darkness in the Shadow Space, then manipulate the Eye of Darkness to move within it for reconnaissance and gather some intelligence.
But now, the Eye of Darkness is fixed as Duke’s talent ability. He can directly observe the situations within the Shadow Space, and the viewing distance can be automatically adjusted, allowing him to see faraway places within the Shadow Space.
The advantage here is that he no longer has to worry about the Eye of Darkness being seen by others.
Because many wizards or demons have the ability to detect the Shadow Space, if they see the existence of the Eye of Darkness, they will inevitably know that someone is stealthily scouting.
Duke himself was aware of Bell’s secret monitoring of him in a similar way initially.
Now, without needing to summon the Eye of Darkness, Duke doesn’t even need to enter the Shadow Space and can directly see the conditions inside, making reconnaissance much easier and more covert.
As for the Shadow Perception Magic, it was initially meant to enhance perception ability in the Shadow Space.
However, after leveling it up fully, no trait appeared, and Duke speculated it was because his already high Dark Attribute Affinity suppressed the trait of the Shadow Perception.
Simply put, his current Shadow Perception Ability is already strong, like how the sun and the stars have always existed, yet stars are invisible during the daytime.
Next were other Level 1 Magic spells which were also maxed out.
[Rock Wall: LV9 (Trait: Resolute Fortress)] 𝐟𝗿𝐞𝚎𝚠𝐞𝚋𝕟𝐨𝚟𝐞𝕝.𝕔𝕠𝚖
[Tornado: LV9 (Trait: Ripping Storm)]
[Fireball Technique: LV9 (Trait: Explosive Blazing)]
[Ray of Light: LV9 (Trait: Holy Penetration)]
[Bright Energy Shield: LV9 (Trait: Refracting Light Dome)]
During battles, Duke consciously used various types of magic to improve their proficiency, maximizing his advantages.
Since the battles were not exceedingly dangerous, he leisurely utilized them to grind proficiency.
After maxing out these Level 1 Magic spells and obtaining traits, they had significant improvements.
The max level Rock Wall Magic no longer just summoned a temporary earthen wall but could directly conjure a wall-like rock barrier.
Its sturdiness far exceeded ordinary rock, comparable to obsidian refined repeatedly by Magic Power, offering strong resistance to both physical and energy impacts.
Moreover, the Rock Wall can slowly absorb Earth Element Energy from the surrounding environment to self-repair, making it extremely difficult to destroy unless struck by a devastating force exceeding its limit instantaneously.
The max level Tornado saw substantial growth in scale and control, with its Ripping trait embedding highly compressed, extremely unstable Wind Element Power in the fast-spinning winds, possessing strong physical drag forces and effectively tearing and weakening targets’ energy shields and biological force fields.
Its effect is excellent against foes relying on energy defenses or when quickly clearing large areas of minions and breaking defenses is needed.
The max level Fireball Technique’s explosive power became more focused, with added explosive and blazing dual effects.
Explosion means multiple directional shock waves and fiery shards occurred during detonation, covering a broader area with stronger penetration.
Blazing endowed the flames with extreme adhesiveness and persistent burning, even underwater, ensnaring directly hit targets with a special magical flame inflicting continuous burn damage, hard to extinguish until the Magic Power is depleted.
The Holy Penetration trait of Ray of Light bestowed it with significant additional damage against creatures like shadows, negative energy, undead, and the Insect Race featuring chaos and corrosion attributes.
Duke discovered this additional effect bonus of Light Attribute Magic versus the Void Insect Race during his combat trials.
Lastly, the Refracting Light Dome trait of the Bright Energy Shield, allowing controlled defensive range and automatic energy distribution adjustment based on attack types for optimal defense.
Its refraction feature means the energy shield no longer passively endures attacks.
For energy beams and rays, there’s a high chance to partially deflect or refract them in other directions or, under Duke’s precise control, temporarily direct refracted attacks towards designated enemies.
