Wizard: Starting from the Skill Tree-Chapter 474: Crystalized Wizard
A sense of unprecedented completeness, strength, and control welled up inside him.
He could clearly feel that his Spiritual Power had undergone a qualitative leap, not only in the total increase but also in purity, toughness, and precision of energy manipulation, all far surpassing the Liquidation phase.
Until he confirmed that every corner of his Spiritual Sea was stable and the Spiritual Power Crystal operated smoothly, Duke took a deep breath and slowly exhaled.
This time, he opened his eyes.
The scene in the laboratory came into view, but it was completely different from before.
His perception had become incredibly sharp, the energy particles drifting in the air, the faint energy fluctuations of the void Crystal Stone platform beneath him, and even the rhythm of the distant protective Witch Array’s operation appeared clearly in his mind.
The world in his eyes seemed as if a veil had been lifted, becoming more vivid and more realistic.
Duke then released his Spiritual Power, allowing it to expand outward rapidly until it stopped at a range of about five hundred meters.
"Five hundred meters? This has already exceeded the typical Spiritual Power release range of a Crystalized Wizard," he thought.
Generally, freshly ascended Crystalized Wizards have a Spiritual Power release range of about two hundred meters, yet Duke had directly achieved five hundred meters.
He then focused his mind, glancing at the Skill Tree within his brain.
[Physique: 22.3->34.7]
[Strength: 23.2->36.2]
[Agility: 21.6->33.5]
[Spirit: 150.3->188.7]
[Free Attribute Points: 0]
After seeing his attributes, Duke understood why his Spiritual Power release range could directly reach five hundred meters.
This successful ascension brought him a total of 38.4 points in Spiritual Power, far exceeding the usual increase from ascension.
According to past records, typically a Liquidation ascending to Crystalized Wizard only brings about ten or so points of Spiritual Power enhancement, with particularly high ones just over ten.
The distinction between newly ascended Crystalized Wizards and Liquidation Wizards in terms of Spiritual Power isn’t significant, which is one reason Duke wasn’t afraid of Bell back then.
However, after successfully achieving Crystalization this time, Duke experienced a massive increase in Spiritual Power, which was clearly abnormal.
He pondered for a moment, analyzing the reasons, likely due to substantial differences in his ascension process compared to ordinary ones.
Spiritual Power Crystal formed by condensing six attributes of Crystal Core has properties, nature, and strength far beyond ordinary Spiritual Power Crystals.
For ordinary wizards, Crystalization utilizes a single attribute of Crystal Core, essentially guiding highly pure external attribute energy to catalyze and compress one’s own same-attribute Liquidation Spiritual Power, solidifying it into form.
This process is more like turning water into ice, changing density and structure but not fundamentally altering quantity, so the enhancement is naturally limited.
Duke’s process, however, was entirely different.
Introducing the Light Divine Status, its energy level and original position far exceeded the scope of a Crystal Core.
This was no longer just simple catalysis but equivalent to igniting a real mini-star within the Spiritual Sea.
During the process of the Divine Status becoming the Spiritual Power Crystal Core, the released original force and Duke’s own Spiritual Power underwent deeper fusion and qualitative change, leading to a significant enhancement with profound future implications.
Additionally, his Spiritual Power Crystal absorbed the energy within the other five Crystal Cores, completely absorbing them, resulting in a total energy amount far exceeding ordinary wizards.
It could be said that the enhanced Spiritual Power was only the smallest benefit; Duke hadn’t yet truly discovered the advantages the Crystal Core provided.
It will take some time for research and sensation before Duke fully uncovers the mysteries hidden within the Crystal Core.
This ascension’s Spiritual Power also represented Duke taking a significant step forward on the path to becoming a Level 2 Mage.
The minimum Spiritual Power standard for a Level 2 Mage is 256 points, a daunting number that causes despair to countless Crystalized Wizards.
This Spiritual Power standard alone acts like a formidable chasm in front of a Level 1 Mage.
Every wizard’s Spiritual Power has a limit, and once reaching the limit, it’s nearly impossible to improve through Meditation.
Perhaps after decades of Meditation toil, Spiritual Power only increases slightly, marking the individual’s bottleneck stage.
During such times, the only options are turning to external aids or encountering some fortuitous events to help break this limit.
The most classic example is Bloodline Mages, who modify their own bloodlines to directly change their aptitude, indirectly raising their limit.
Wizards, striving to break limits, have researched various quirky methods, and there’s a fair number of relatively mature and stable methods to enhance Spiritual Power.
Being a Bloodline Mage is one of the extremely stable paths and a common choice for many wizards.
But for Duke, these methods are temporarily unnecessary due to the absence of limit constraints.
With the Skill Tree, regardless of current Spiritual Power levels, it’s possible to directly enhance using Free Attribute Points.
Duke wasn’t sure where his original limit lies, but he felt he was roughly close to it.
Since his initial Spiritual Power was in the eight-point range, making him exceptionally gifted among ordinary people, born with the potential to be a Wizard.
Yet among wizards, this aptitude was relatively average, which is why Grace didn’t initially accept him as a student.
Typically, such aptitude allows one to practice up to the Level 2 Mage level.
But now Duke felt curious as his aptitude seemed to have changed, altering subtly and slowly.
Even without using Free Attribute Points, relying solely on Meditation, Duke’s Spiritual Power could grow slowly, without any apparent limitations.
Ordinarily, at his current aptitude stage, he should experience some bottleneck, but Duke persistently hasn’t felt this, as Meditation continues to boost Spiritual Power normally.
This indicates his aptitude has indeed changed, though the exact cause remains uncertain.
Duke speculates it likely has to do with the Skill Tree.
Many traits provided by the Skill Tree essentially enhance and transform the body; these changes might not be apparent initially.
However, once the traits and skill numbers are sufficiently numerous, they create a qualitative shift, indirectly altering Duke’s physique and aptitude.
Furthermore, with the Light Divine Status within himself, virtually all aptitude limitations have been removed.
Even relying solely on digesting and absorbing the inherited power within the Divine Status, Duke could become a Level 3 Mage, with the potential to touch the threshold of a Level 4 Mage.
Time is the only requirement; all Duke needs to do is amplify himself as much as possible before his life burns out.
