Wizard: I Have a Game Panel-Chapter 401 - 282: At All Costs (Part 2)
"Pfft—"
The Destruction Element merged into the Zand Metal, effortlessly splitting it in two.
Then it transformed into two circles, each encircling one corner of the Zand Metal, pulling them in opposite directions.
Originally only five meters long, the Zand Metal easily extended to nearly a thousand meters.
Vincentia carefully observed the changes in the metal during the stretching through perception, and finally discovered that besides altering its shape, the metal showed no changes at all, not even the slightest hint of a crack.
"Haha, it is indeed a good thing." Confirming it was fine, Vincentia turned to look at Zand, smiling: "Thank you, Legislator Zand, for helping me forge the first step towards the Sixth Ring."
In his heart, he felt no discomfort at all about relying on others to forge his path.
Truly, not even a drop!
Because if Speaker Lole hadn’t proposed the concept of the Mechanical Wizard, the best outcome for him would have been leaving behind an unknown talent child three thousand years ago, who eventually died as a Harvest Wizard Apprentice.
He had no talents in forging, potions, or energy.
The only thing worth mentioning was his mastery of Elemental control.
The various flaws of the Mechanical Wizard were all advantages to him.
He only needed to wait for exceptionally talented Wizards to build the steps of growth, then use his single talent as momentum to climb higher.
In his mind, there was nothing more wonderful than this.
To continue this beauty, and perhaps even make it more beautiful, he was willing to do anything.
Anyone who dared to destroy this beauty was his deadly enemy.
Anyone who wanted to make this beauty more beautiful, he would be their most loyal supporter.
"No need for such praise." Zand waved his hands repeatedly, "Everything is for the Wizard Alliance."
"Exactly!" Vincentia’s smile grew wider, "Everything is for the Wizard Alliance!"
"Since it’s good, I’ll send this Zand Metal to the Energy Research Institute." Yasen laughed, "After delivering the materials and constructing the Magic Array, how about we have a celebration banquet?"
"Absolutely!" Vincentia quickly jumped in: "The banquet will be hosted by me, remember to invite Ernie and the others."
"Alright, I’ll head over first." Yasen nodded, having no intention of competing for the spotlight of hosting the banquet, collecting the divided Zand Metal, and transformed into a streak of red light, disappearing from the laboratory.
...
Energy Research Institute, in a private section of a large library.
Ernie frowned, slowly setting pen to the thick parchment scroll.
However, every time he drew a line of dense runes, he would cross it out and inscribe a new line below, only to cross it out again.
He had repeated this action for nearly ten days, wasting almost half a scroll of parchment. 𝙛𝒓𝒆𝙚𝒘𝒆𝓫𝙣𝓸𝙫𝓮𝒍.𝒄𝒐𝓶
"Damn it, why is it so hard to make this fit with the Space Rune Array?" After crossing out another line of runes, Ernie threw down the pen, rubbing his forehead continuously.
At this moment, he felt a headache, a severe headache.
If the difficulty of constructing an Energy Loop alone was compared to 1, then making the Energy Loop compatible with the Space Rune Array was like 20.
A difficulty twenty times greater made it challenging to construct even a Third Ring Energy Loop, let alone anything higher, which seemed impossible.
Lawson, that guy, was good only at Rune Drawing, and after proposing a direction, contributed nothing further. The construction of the Energy Loop still depended on himself and Aaron.
Lately, Aaron couldn’t take it anymore and went to rest, leaving Ernie as the only one persevering, feeling quite frustrated.
"Knock knock knock—"
Suddenly, a gentle knock sounded on the door of the small private room.
"Come in." Ernie took a deep breath, suppressing his inner agitation, and spoke to the door.
"Creak—"
The small door of the private room was pushed open, and a completely unexpected figure appeared before him.
"Hello, Speaker Yasen." Ernie stood up, with a face full of surprise, and greeted with respect.
"No need for formalities." Yasen waved his hand cheerfully, "What? Are you surprised to see me here?"
"To be honest, a little bit." Ernie nodded honestly.
"I’m here with good news today."
Yasen said, "Just now, Legislator Zand from the Magic Artifact Research Institute forged a kind of Tier Six metal perfectly meeting your and Speaker Vincentia’s requirements, called Zand Metal."
"It’s inconvenient to take it out here, so why don’t you take me to a laboratory?"
"Oh, and be sure to take me to a larger lab, preferably one with Space Expansion. I still need to arrange a nicer Tier Six Fire Element Magic Array for you."
"Yes, please follow me." As soon as he heard it met the requirements perfectly, Ernie’s eyes lit up, immediately leading Yasen to a large-scale lab.
He was done studying that damn reconstruction method, it was pure torment.
Now it seemed he indeed did not need to study it anymore.
...
Wizard Calendar, Year 5471, September 5.
Energy Research Institute, large laboratory.
"Crack—"
"Done." Lawson made the final stroke on a Small Energy Furnace, looking at the complex and beautiful Energy Loop adorning its surface like an artwork, his heart filled with a sense of accomplishment.
"The making of this thing is incredibly difficult, even with a complete Energy Loop system, we took a hundred and fifty years to produce just one." Aaron, standing by, remarked.
"Let’s go try it and see if it works." Ernie picked up the Small Energy Furnace and headed toward the Sixth Ring Charging Magic Array, saying, "If it fails, next time won’t take just a hundred and fifty years to fix."
"I hope it works." Lawson followed somewhat anxiously.
"It shouldn’t fail, after all, we’ve already tested it on the Tier Six Large Energy Furnace before." Aaron chimed in.
As the three conversed, Ernie reached the center of the Sixth Ring Charging Magic Array, placing the Tier Six Small Energy Furnace in the core area, poured ten thousand Magic Crystals into it, and activated the Energy Furnace.
"Buzz—"
With a faint buzzing, the Energy Loop patterns on the Tier Six Small Energy Furnace lit up quickly from top to bottom, completing the activation process almost immediately.
In the next moment, the Sixth Ring Charging Magic Array underneath the Energy Furnace also lit up, without any unexpected occurrences.
"Success." A faint smile appeared on Ernie’s face.
The Tier Six Small Energy Furnace was created successfully, bringing joy to him, albeit not the same excitement as the previous success with the Tier Six Large Energy Furnace, as this was within his expectations.
Failure would have been surprising.
"We’ve finally paved a segment of the road to Speaker Vincentia’s Sixth Ring."
"I need to bring this good news to Speaker Vincentia."
Lawson and Aaron were equally delighted; Aaron even pulled out the Continent Communication Device, starting to search for Vincentia’s contact information.
"Yes, I also need to report to Speaker Francis." Ernie nodded, also taking out the Continent Communication Device.
"I’ll go publish the announcement." With that, Lawson didn’t stand idle, instead, he started drafting an announcement for the entire Wizard Alliance.
On this day, the joyous news from the Energy Research Institute stirred all speakers, including Lor.
Celebration banquets popped up everywhere, bringing numerous benefits to countless Wizards.
...
The next morning.
Milton Continent, top floor of the Mechanical Wizard Tower.
Francis, Domenico, and Vincentia gathered in a large Cultivation Room.
"Are you sure you want to breakthrough to the Sixth Ring now?" Francis advised with a bit of concern, "You don’t actually need to rush, waiting a bit is fine, after all, you still have plenty of time."
He worried that Vincentia might be making an impulsive decision.
If any irreparable mistake were to happen, the Wizard Alliance would lose a major pillar.
"Do not worry."
A calm smile hung on Vincentia’s face: "Perhaps my talents in forging and energy are lacking, but when it comes to Elemental control, I am absolutely confident."
"For this breakthrough, I’d like to borrow a saying from Speaker Lole, which is that there’s a ninety-nine percent chance of success, with the remaining one percent reserved for unexpected events, for nobody can guarantee absolute assurance, can they?"
His words contained not even an ounce of falsehood; in his area of expertise, he had absolute confidence.
