Wizard: I Have a Game Panel-Chapter 400 - 282: At Any Cost
Wizard Calendar, June 9, 5320.
Milton Continent, Magic Artifact Research Institute, inside a large laboratory.
"Huff huff—sizzle sizzle—"
A middle-aged man dressed in a red Fourth Ring Legislator Wizard Robe unleashed red, white, blue, and green flames, continuously scorching a sphere of black liquid with a diameter of about ten meters, suspended mid-air, causing it to continually evaporate.
Moments later, when the diameter of the black liquid shrank to only seven meters, the middle-aged man abruptly withdrew the four-colored flames and instead retrieved a large barrel filled with dark blue liquid from his Space Ring, pouring it straight onto the black liquid still suspended in mid-air.
"Sizzle—"
Dense white mist instantly filled the entire laboratory, reaching a point where vision was obscured to the extent of not seeing one’s hand in front of their face if looked through the naked eye.
"Huff—"
A ring of red flame timely emerged around the middle-aged man, rapidly spreading outwards.
Wherever the flame passed, all the white mist vanished into nothingness.
The black substance in front of him had now disappeared, replaced by a piece of deep black metal five meters long, three meters wide, with an uneven surface.
Light from a Magic Lamp reflected subtle spots on the surface of the metal, giving it a bit of an aesthetic appeal from a distance.
"Boom—"
The middle-aged man removed the Floating Technique, allowing the metal to free-fall to the ground, producing a dull sound.
"It took nearly six hundred years, scouring through millions of exchanges among civilizations skilled in forging, to finally create this thing." The middle-aged man exhaled a light breath, feeling a sense of relaxation, "With this thing, my accumulation of Contribution Points for promotion to Speaker is estimated to surpass halfway."
The Energy Furnace Research Institute had been constantly complaining about the materials being inadequate, and there wasn’t much he could do before.
It wasn’t until Speaker Francis gave him the credential to enter the Second World that he gleaned some inspiration from those exchanges among forging civilizations, forcibly merging a pile of Tier Five ores to create this Tier Six metal with extremely high ductility and flexibility.
He took out the Continent Communication Device and directly reported his achievement to Amy, then took out a chair, sat down to rest, and awaited a response.
Moments later.
"Knock knock knock—"
A sudden knocking came from outside the laboratory.
"So quick?" The middle-aged man raised an eyebrow, stood up, and, using the Fire Element from his Sea of Consciousness, transformed it into a Fire Element Giant Hand, remotely opening the laboratory door, while saying, "Assistant Amy..."
However, just as he spoke, he was startled to find that not only Amy was at the door.
Standing in front of Amy were also Speaker Yasen and Speaker Vincentia.
"Greetings Speaker Yasen, Speaker Vincentia, what brings both of you here?" The middle-aged man immediately changed his words, bowing to the two Speakers.
Usually, it was Amy who interacted with him, and as for the Speakers, they would generally be focused on researching matters regarding the Seventh Ring.
He had thought this time would be the same as usual, but surprisingly, two of them came.
Vincentia’s presence wasn’t surprising to him, but he was quite taken aback by the appearance of Yasen, a Tier Six Speaker.
"The Tier Six Fire Element Magic Array at the Energy Research Institute couldn’t handle the Tier Six metal you created, so naturally, I had to come."
Yasen looked at the black metal located in the center of the laboratory, smiled, and said, "As for Vincentia, well, he’s just here to see the thing Ernies and the others have been eagerly anticipating for so long."
"By the way, this metal doesn’t have a name yet, right? Do you want to name it?"
"Um, how about Zand Metal?" The middle-aged man suddenly realized, and without much thought, directly named the metal after his own name.
As he spoke, he led the three of them to the Zand Metal.
"Works for me." Yasen shrugged, pointing at the Zand Metal and asking Vincentia, "What do you think of this metal? Can it support your breakthrough to the Sixth Ring?"
If it were merely for manufacturing a Tier Six Small Energy Furnace, it wouldn’t matter as much, but Vincentia’s breakthrough to the Sixth Ring was of great significance and required careful consideration.
If he felt it inadequate, they might have to remelt the Zand Metal and craft it anew.
"I’ll give it a try." Vincentia swiftly appeared next to the Zand Metal, extended his right index finger, upon which a strand of Element containing a terrifying aura of Destruction quietly emerged, and he slowly pointed towards the Zand Metal.
The moment that strand of Destruction Element appeared, everyone present, including Yasen, felt a chill run through their bodies, akin to a thorn on their back.
"No wonder this guy is so highly regarded." Zand watched the Destruction Element at Vincentia’s fingertip, inwardly admiring it.
Since the Battle of the Abyss, the Wizard Alliance has promoted four individuals from the Fourth Ring to the rank of Speaker.
Among them, Speaker Lole’s promotion was the least disputed, as his subsequent actions and immense strength eventually convinced almost all the Speakers and Legislators.
Speaker Domenico, though there was some controversy initially, became unquestionable after the Silver Wolf incident.
The Soul Witchcraft he unleashed in the Plane Passage of the Fog Shadow Plane before the eyes of many Wizards had truly astonished them all.
As for Sanchez...
Upon becoming a Speaker, he never concealed his power and just barely managed to gain respect.
However, Vincentia was different, so low-key it was astounding.
Though no one openly criticized him, many Legislators were not completely convinced of his position, Zand included.
If it weren’t for the Contribution Points, he wouldn’t have bothered helping this person research special metals.
But upon witnessing the strand of Destruction Element firsthand and experiencing the terrifying power it contained, his internal discontent inexplicably vanished.
Because he knew very clearly that if that strand of Destruction Element landed on him, the Power of Origin wouldn’t save him, just like Speaker Lole’s Great Dissolving Technique.
