Witch, Fireball and the Evil God of Steam-Chapter 875 - 174: Artificial God
"What would happen if we managed to gather all the 'gods' together?"
"Would they slaughter each other, or coexist peacefully?"
"Either way, it would be an intriguing experiment."
"But the problem is, how do we implement this plan?"
"Summon."
"Summon?"
"Just as the Kania People summoned their gods, we can use the same method to attract the attention of Bazatous."
"And the key to everything lies in..."
"The genetic sequence of the Kania People."
The dialogue seemed to come from an old-fashioned radio, interspersed with the sound of electricity. When Ethan once again entered that coded sequence, he understood the true meaning of these dialogues. In fact, these dialogues existed in numerous entirely different languages, as if researchers from many civilizations were gathered together, commencing a discussion on 'gods.'
For them, obtaining the genetic sequence of the Kania People might not be difficult, as among these researchers was also a Kania person. Through the implied information in the conversation, Ethan easily judged that this dialogue took place after the civilization's destruction.
"The most perfect genetic sequence, the purest soul, neither can be absent."
"But the soul?"
"You know about that technology."
"But the key lies in..."
"We can provide you with seven pure-blooded Kania people, ensuring they voluntarily participate in this experiment."
"Cheer up, Doctor, it's a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity."
"If everything goes smoothly, we will create an apostle of a god."
"Bazarian-7."
"Representing seven pure souls."
Ethan felt as if he had fallen into an ocean of pitch darkness, compressed from all directions by the ocean formed of codes. With each movement forward, more conversations entered his ears.
The reason he appeared here was due to a recent NB code attack launched by the God of Truth against him.
In an instant, all the codes in the space gathered together, followed by a black-hole-like gravitational pull generated by collapse, dragging the entire world into it. In this dark ocean, even the concept of time and space ceased to exist. What he could touch were fragmentary pieces of information shattered by the collapse.
Ethan quickly realized that this seemed to be a self-destructing attack, as the God of Truth would rather destroy all data than let him see the secrets within.
Because of Bazatous, Anapolis, Kaisaros, and all the other Old Gods.
The God of Truth believed he walked too closely with the Old Gods, and if these secrets were known by the Old Gods, it would likely have a severe impact on their future plans.
Ethan happened to have heard the name Bazarian before, but where they were, people usually did not utter His name directly, as it represented disrespect to the True God, while His other title was a universally known existence—the Goddess of Life.
Regardless of country, region, or belief, people's reverence for the Goddess of Life was equal because He, along with other gods, led humanity to end the era manipulated by the Old Gods.
But how did that dark era emerge?
No one seemed to have seriously pondered this question, not even the believers of the God of Truth, whose exploration of human origins eventually succumbed to the doctrine of 'creation by gods.' The Theory of Evolution was not prevalent in this world, and in the minds of more people, the history of humankind suddenly appeared on a certain day.
On that day, the gods endowed humans with thoughts and souls.
These two things made humans realize they were but puppets under the control of the Old Gods, igniting the fire of freedom within their hearts.
In the empire, even the most devout True God believers would not deny that the Old Gods created this world.
"The condition of Bazarian-7 is very stable, it's truly a miracle."
"Perhaps you should refer to Him as the Goddess of Life now."
"Yes, the Goddess of Life."
"Fascinating, the power of Bazatous pulses through His blood, yet operates in a completely different manner."
"This indicates that the relationship between Bazatous and the Kania People is far from being simply that of destroyer and destroyed."
"They seem to be the best vessel."
"But something else is still needed."
"Yes, identity, memory, and a conception of self."
"I really love His eyes, always reminding me of the sea back home."
"Look, He's watching you."
For Ethan, the mode of conversation began to elevate. As he delved deeper into the black ocean, fragmented flashbacks of scenes emerged in his mind, helping him understand the time and background of these conversations. The speakers were two Kania people, their appearance easily identifiable, and before them was a blue-haired woman floating in nutrient fluid in a nutrient chamber, her sea-like eyes observing the two outside the chamber.
Like a newborn baby, observing and understanding this unfamiliar world.
The Kania people referred to the power possessed by Bazarian as the result of "reversal infusion"; a flash of insight after countless failed attempts.
The energy of the Old Gods was too mighty, and the only result of forcibly infusing it was turning the experimental subject into a "meatball" that lost the ability to think, only acting on instinct, just like the state after the destruction of their homeland.
