On the ground full of mud, a heap after heap of bloated, pale corpses piled up, so many that they couldn't be counted; the entire former residents of Little Londo might be lying here!

These corpses amassed together looked like a massacre caused by opening the floodgates; no creatures were spared.

The texture of the corpses reminded him of the maggot men from the Deep Church, similarly pale and extremely bloated, as if poking them would make them burst.

"Ugh...."

Thinking about it made him nauseous, so he quickly interrupted his imagination.

The visual impact of these corpses was secondary

"Whoosh!"

He stood on the city wall and shot an arrow at the corpses below, and the body exploded violently, various liquids splattered everywhere, making the mud look even more disgusting.

"Don't abuse the corpses, okay?" His companions said, covering their noses.

"I'm testing, okay."

Tusi frowned, these corpses were troubling.

Piling up on the ground not only would hinder movement but would become unpredictable traps during monster attacks, plus who knows if those liquids contain toxins; the corpses on the ground were like mines to him.

Another issue that made him frown was whether other monsters would appear after releasing the water?

"Forget it, let's go down and take a look first."

They stood above and cast magic toward the corpses blocking possible roads, using fire series magic to explode the bloated bodies, and once cleared, dared to slowly descend to the bottom using ropes.

Upon checking, they discovered piles of corpses stacked like small hills within their visual blind spots, and such corpse piles were not confined to one place.

Viewed from afar, it was practically a picture of a thousand miles composed of corpses!

"So disgusting...."

Even the Dark Moon Sword members, accustomed to seeing corpses, couldn't help but show expressions of disgust at such a scene. What happened here to become so... desecrated?

The massive pile of similar corpses directly raised everyone's alertness to the highest level, spiritual power released continuously due to stimulation, as they slowly wound their way around the corpse mounds toward the buildings ahead, wanting to kick open those damp doors to explore inside.

"Wow!"

An ear-piercing screech suddenly erupted near their ears; hearing such a ghostly howl in an environment full of similar corpses definitely incites a great amount of fear.

Normally, this would be the case, but now is not a normal situation.

Upon hearing the howl, everyone instead felt relieved.

Because the appearance of this sound meant that the monster showing up was one they were familiar with.

Several ghosts, seemingly larger in size, rushed out from the darkness, wielding arms transformed into scythes, crazily slashing at the group. This scene, enough to scare children to tears, made the Dark Moon Sword members laugh aloud.

"So this is what it is, hahaha, now we can rest assured!"

They skillfully picked up their weapons and fought against the ghosts, the enlarged ghosts showed increased strength, capable of transforming their arms into more weapons, but their skills were clearly lacking; after overcoming the initial discomfort, they soon mastered the ghosts' attack rhythm, causing a series of defeats until they were completely eliminated.

This battle directly eradicated any small fear lingering in their hearts; now, they completely ignored the nearby corpses as if they were cabbages, seriously beginning their exploration.

They strode into various damp rooms, rummaging through cabinets like heroes in an old RPG must touch everything they come across, and really were able to find quite a few valuable things in the various overlooked details.

The items manifesting as light points were certainly good, but the non-light point miscellaneous items also held value.

"In a peaceful country, collectors would certainly be willing to buy these," Tusi said, holding a necklace found in a cabinet. The rough man couldn't see much, but the necklace's intricate craftsmanship seemed to hold the 'sense of art' collectors speak of, presumably quite valuable.

"But unfortunately, no one in Scameroon buys them." He threw the necklace aside, picking up a small knife that had been soaking in water for who knows how long yet still shining.

This knife barely larger than a fruit knife was now more valuable than a decorative item.

"Tusi, come look at this."

A companion's voice came from another room; he walked over and gasped.

In the rather small room lay a bloated corpse, but that's not the key point. Next to the corpse lay a transparent spiritual body.

This spirit looked exceedingly desperate, kneeling on the ground, and upon approaching, one could hear its mumbling:

[God, why did you do this.... My hometown.... submerged]

[Revenge, I want revenge.... Our monarchs will avenge me... Damn god...]

The adventurer found several light points next to the corpse, quickly picked them up, and beamed with joy as they turned out to be several Cracked Blood Red Eye Orbs.

Tusi glared at them, prompting the adventurer to obediently bring the orbs for everyone to see, resulting in Tusi allowing them to keep them.

They didn't care about a few eye orbs, but such obvious hogging behavior wouldn't be permitted by any adventurer squad.

Even if you sneakily, discretely make smaller moves!

"Looks like this was a local resident," speculated the Dark Moon Sword: "This Little Longdo Ruins must have been a city before becoming ruins; however, it was flooded by the god this spirit spoke of.... Which god was it, the Sea God worshiped by Red over there? No, if we limit the range to the Sain Dungeon.... Still hard to say."

"There are many ghosts here, and now there's Soul-sucking Ghost's stuff, could it have been the Soul-sucking Ghost? Speaking of which, we still don't know which god the Soul-sucking Ghost believes in."

"Perhaps it's directly the Abyss? But I think there's another possibility: maybe the Soul-sucking Ghost and this spirit were in the same camp? Flooding them was to deal with the Soul-sucking Ghost."

The Dark Moon Sword members gathered and enthusiastically discussed, with even the adventurer squeezing in to listen intently.

Unlike Luluwo, who was only interested in making game guides without speculating on plots, the Dark Moon Sword members were adept at imagining various Sain stories based on a few words with contents that could surprisingly find supporting evidence, such talent was rather intimidating.

Even Princess Serine, when facing writer's block, would chat with the Dark Moon Sword members to broaden ideas.

The reason they were like this mainly lay in their faith, no, in their admiration for the deceased Gwendolin; to create fresh stories related to it, they had to concoct them themselves.

Instead of saying they believe in Gwendolin, it was more appropriate to say they admire it like an idol.

As they continued their discussion, ghostly wails sounded outside again, clearly some unknown ghosts came to attack them.

The group rushed out of the room, punching and kicking the gathering ghosts, successfully wiping them out in just a moment, leaving a ground littered with light points.

Yet they hadn't fought enough; fortunately, sounds could be heard from nearby undisturbed rooms.

"I'll handle it, just not enough fighting fun."

Tusi cracked his neck, walked toward the door from which the sound came, grinning like a butcher ready to kick it open.

However, in the next second, the door was slammed toward him, the heavy wooden door knocked him to the ground.

"What is that!?"

Everyone knew ghosts couldn't touch buildings, so what knocked the door down...

They turned their gazes.

Only to see a pitch-black figure swaggering out of the door with a Koukou Sword, thrusting at Tusi across the door.

"It's the Soul-sucking Ghost!"
