Chapter 1007: Chapter 1007: She Gets Special Attention

"Okay, Mom, we all should go—it’ll show how important this is. Oh, check if Milo’s available and have him come along!"

"Sure, sure." Chloe Gable opened the car door, stepping one leg out before looking back at him in the driver’s seat. "Adrian, you haven’t told Rachel about finding Faye yet, have you?"

"Haven’t had the chance, I’ll call her in a bit!" Adrian Lancaster said with a smile. When facing his family, he wasn’t the stern, imposing figure he was at the company; he became more human and approachable.

"Alright, then I’m off." Teacher Gable shut the car door after getting out. "See you tomorrow, drive slowly and don’t overtake too much on the road. No rush; a minute can cover a long distance!"

"I know, Mom! I’ll drive slowly and be careful!"

Adrian Lancaster was in a particularly good mood today. He waved at her, "Goodbye!"

Then he pressed the accelerator, and the car sped away, giving Teacher Gable quite the scare!

At dusk, Jadepoint, at The Xavier Estate.

It’s not just a welcome-home party, is it?

In just two hours, the courtyard was decorated with lights, looking festive as if it were New Year’s, perhaps only matched by the spectacle of Nathan Xavier’s wedding.

The glowing red lanterns, illuminated by the setting sun, emitted a uniquely beautiful light—a blend of two lights that was breathtakingly beautiful.

Faye Turner stood in her childhood bedroom, everything behind her was just as it used to be.

She stood at the window, quietly watching the servants bustling about in the yard, each with faces brimming with happiness and joy, whispering amongst themselves.

She knew that everyone was welcoming her back, except Rhiannon Xavier.

"Brother, where did you get those lanterns from? They’re up so quickly." Faye was deeply touched.

"We always have them on hand, only brought out for big events." Nathan Xavier thought for a moment, "The last time they were out... was when you were a month old."

Ah?

Faye turned her eyes, and Nathan answered with a smile, "Just kidding, Dad once held a birthday party, and it was quite lively. Sadly, you weren’t there, and it always felt like something was missing."

Thinking of the wrinkles on her parents’ faces—marks of time—she was filled with emotion over these past twenty years of fleeting time... with no memories at all.

Had she ever thought of finding her family these twenty years?

She recalled the kind face of her adoptive mother and wondered about her life at her side all these years.

Lastly, she thought of Adrian Lancaster, hearing the words in her ear—"No worldly splendor compares to you, the wind was sweet when fairy tales arrived."

"Shane, I’m going to see if there’s anything I can help with." With that, Nathan Xavier began to walk away.

Her thoughts were pulled back from Adrian Lancaster.

The servants came and went, arranging fresh flowers, adding items, and delivering fruit trays. Smiles were on everyone’s faces, calling her "Miss" and greeting her.

The son-in-law, President Lancaster’s study was also being set up...

Faye Turner withdrew her gaze, sat down in the chair, and pulled out her phone to search for Adrian Lancaster.

Relevant information popped up, all positive reviews... along with several of his photos.

She found that the photos didn’t do him justice—his handsome features made him a true heartthrob, while the photos had made him look unattractive.

Even though she couldn’t remember him, Faye still felt she could give him high marks based on her impression.

At the very least, he was a good father, full of patience when dealing with Joy.

As she searched online, she found him labeled as a devoted husband... with some happy moments captured by the media.

The woman in the photos was Faye Turner, although she looked different now...

It’s evident that as Adrian Lancaster’s wife, Faye Turner was incredibly happy and envied by countless women.
