Chapter 70: Chapter 70: Account Banned

When Eliana Yates woke up, her whole world had collapsed.

Her social media account, with its more than two million followers, had been banned without a sound!

With a sweep of her arm, Eliana sent the cosmetics on her vanity crashing to the floor. They scattered everywhere, leaving the room in utter chaos.

"AHHH!!!"

Her hysterical shriek brought Mrs. Yates running.

"What do you think you’re doing?! Having a fit this early in the morning? Your father was busy all night and just got to sleep."

Eliana was already furious. She couldn’t care less who was sleeping.

She roared at Mrs. Yates, "My account was banned! All those followers I worked so hard to get!"

Alarmed by her daughter’s reckless behavior, Mrs. Yates rushed forward and clamped a hand over her mouth. "If your account got banned, you can just make a new one," she warned in a hushed voice. "But if you wake your father, you’ll be in for it."

’Easy for her to say, "just make another one." It took me five years of hard work to get those followers.’

"You don’t get it! You don’t get any of it!"

Eliana’s emotions completely boiled over. Unable to face her account being banned, she could only take her anger out on her mother, the full-time housewife.

"If you had kept working at the hospital, you’d at least be a director by now! With you and Dad’s help, my life wouldn’t be so hard! It’s all your fault for being so useless! If you weren’t, Dad wouldn’t be messing around, and I wouldn’t have to compete with his bastard child for attention!"

Eliana’s eyes reddened, but she felt a sense of relief after getting it all off her chest in one go.

"Eliana..."

Mrs. Yates was deeply hurt. To be criticized so harshly by the daughter she had so painstakingly cared for... it felt as though a piece of her own flesh had been carved out.

"You were frail and sickly from a young age. We went through so many nannies, yet you were still in and out of the hospital every month. I’m your mother, and I was a pediatrician. If I didn’t quit my job to take care of you myself, who else could I have possibly trusted you with?"

Eliana couldn’t stand her mother’s ’I did it all for you’ attitude.

"Enough! That was your burden to bear, not mine! Get out!"

She shoved Mrs. Yates out of the room and SLAMMED the door shut.

’What am I going to do now?’

Exhausted, Eliana slid down the door and slumped onto the floor.

She scrolled through the screenshots on her phone.

"This isn’t a rhinestone. It’s a rare pink diamond—the one called Lucky Star, with a starting bid of one hundred million."

The commenter had also attached a photo from an auction house’s promotional brochure.

"And you call yourself an educational blogger? Slander just rolls right off your tongue. Did everything you learn go to waste?"

...

There were many more comments just like it, and she saved every single one.

All so that one day she could expose Luna Axton’s true colors and viciously slap them in the face, one by one.

But now her account was gone.

’What do I do?’

’Is it really just gone, like that?’

Eliana paced back and forth in her room, trying to find a way out of this mess.

’No, I can’t just give up.’

’Young Master Jacobs.’

’That’s it. I’ll call Young Master Jacobs.’

She dialed Kai’s number.

After she explained everything, he was callously dismissive. "What’s there to panic about? I’ll get you a new account. You can do a livestream exposing Luna Axton, and your followers will come flocking back."

Young Master Jacobs’s words slowly calmed Eliana down.

’Right. Who doesn’t love a bit of drama?’

’If Young Master Jacobs said it was fine, then it was fine.’

’In Valoria, there was nothing Young Master Jacobs couldn’t handle.’

With her account banned, she was in no mood for her internship at Concordia Medical Hall, so she just sent a message to May Ford asking for the day off. 𝙛𝓻𝒆𝒆𝒘𝙚𝓫𝙣𝙤𝒗𝙚𝓵.𝙘𝙤𝙢

In Valoria, the snow fell intermittently. The bare treetops, now laden with snow, formed beautiful, stark lines against the sky.

The weather was cold, yet it sparked a strange sense of anticipation.

Anticipation for the holidays, for the New Year, for festive family gatherings.

On the day of the banquet, Blaze Fairchild, knowing she wanted to see Joy Coleman, got ready early and took her there.

The banquet was held on the hotel’s ground floor. The reception was grand, with a red carpet stretching from the entrance into the main hall.

As they entered, an attendant took their coats, scarves, and other winter wear, leaving them to proceed in their formal attire.

The moment Luna Axton stepped into the banquet hall, filled with the melodious sound of a piano, she began scanning the crowd for Joy Coleman, paying special attention to the dessert buffet.

"Well, well, the great President Fairchild. I was just being polite with the invitation, but you actually came!"

Wyatt Kingston approached, a wine glass in hand. Though his words were directed at Blaze Fairchild, his eyes were glued to Luna Axton.

’The woman before him had large, round eyes that seemed full of expression, as if she were an actress. You rarely see eyes like that, even in the entertainment industry!’

’With her innocent-looking short hair, she wore a pearlescent white, ankle-length gown.’

’The well-tailored gown clung perfectly to her curves, but her stomach...’

’She’s pregnant!’

Wyatt Kingston frowned. ’Has Evergrow Group run out of people?’ he thought. ’Making a pregnant woman work overtime!’

’The man’s words made it sound as though Blaze Fairchild had begged to be here.’

’To say something so thoughtless of Blaze’s feelings at an event like this...’

’They must be incredibly close. Who is this guy?’

Luna Axton sized him up as well. He had fair skin and was wearing a pink blazer, slim black trousers, and a black silk scarf with a subtle pattern.

Around his exposed neck was a shimmering collarbone necklace with a small, heart-shaped pink diamond pendant.

Luna Axton idly turned the Lucky Star on her ring finger with her thumb.

She could still recall the anger and distress in Joy’s voice during their phone call.

She also clearly remembered Joy being unable to contain her emotions and cursing out "that damn gigolo."

She wasn’t a fool. She could figure most things out if she just put her mind to it.

’Could this man be Blaze’s lover?’

Luna’s expression grew complicated. ’Blaze doesn’t seem like the type to be interested in men.’

Blaze Fairchild ignored Wyatt Kingston’s remark and made the introduction. "This is Luna Axton. Your sister-in-law."

Wyatt Kingston’s eyes went wide, putting his subtle eyeliner on full display. He gasped, covering his mouth as he took a step back, staring at the couple in utter astonishment.

"Wyatt Kingston," Blaze began, "the sole heir of the Kingston family, the crown prince of Stellacube..."

The moment Stellacube was mentioned, Wyatt cut Blaze off, not having any of it. He stressed sternly,

"I just happen to have the last name Kingston. I have nothing to do with Stellacube. I’m striking out on my own. My company is being registered, and it’s called ’Encounter’."

"Also, there’s something I need to discuss very seriously with my sister-in-law." Wyatt scanned the room again, searching for Joy Coleman. "You two have fun for a minute. I’m going to find my girl."

Before either of them could say a word, Wyatt was off like a shot.

Luna had just taken a sip of her juice when Wyatt returned, dragging Joy Coleman back with him by the hand.

"Luna!" The moment Joy Coleman saw her, she wrenched her hand free from Wyatt’s grasp and rushed over.

"Joy, where have you been?" Luna had been looking everywhere for her, but somehow, Wyatt had managed to track her down.

Joy Coleman leaned close to her ear and whispered sheepishly, "I ate too much. I was on the terrace letting my food settle, and I think I popped a seam on my dress."

Luna couldn’t help but smile. Joy absolutely loved small cakes. The fact that she’d eaten enough to burst a seam meant the pastries must have been truly delicious.

"Alright, since all four of us are here, I’m going to clear the air," Wyatt announced, looking as if he were about to make a momentous declaration.

Luna listened attentively. Blaze, however, looked completely unconcerned.

Joy Coleman, however, clenched her fists. ’If this gigolo so much as raises his voice to Luna,’ she thought, ’I’ll punch that smug look right off his face.’

"Blaze and I grew up together, so I’m definitely not the ’gigolo’ you girls think I am. I’m from a perfectly respectable background, and one hundred percent man, thank you very much."
