When His Nauseous Sweetheart Frowns, the Tycoon's Family Takes Turns Pampering Her-Chapter 158: Just Revel in Being Spoiled
The next day, after everyone finished breakfast, they split into three cars and headed back to the city. ๐ฏ๐ป๐๐๐๐ฎ๐๐ท๐๐ฟ๐๐.๐๐ธ๐ข
After exiting the highway, Mason Frostโs car pulled over to the side of the road. Blaze Fairchild followed suit, parking behind him.
Everyone got out of their cars one after another. Russell Frost and Jenna Axton walked over to Julian Fairchildโs car.
Russell stopped Julian Fairchild, who was about to get out. "Mr. Fairchild, please stay in the car. I just came over to let you know that Jenna and I are heading back to Kensing today, so we wonโt be able to see you back to Fairchild Estate."
Yesterdayโs barbecue had been more enjoyable than any meal in a private restaurant room. This morningโs lively breakfast had left everyone with a warm feeling in their chests.
Julian Fairchild looked at the younger generation with affection. "Alright. When you come back, weโll plan another get-together."
Russell felt a pang of bittersweetness. Both of their fathers were getting older. For them, getting together again was more than just a plan; it was a promise contingent on good health and continued peace.
"Next time, letโs not drink alcohol. Weโll have tea. Iโll bring the best tea from Kensing to Fairchild Estate to see you."
"Then itโs a deal." Julian Fairchildโs face was still wreathed in a smile, but the corners of his eyes had quietly turned red.
On the other side, Theodore Frost was instructing Luna Axton. "Grandpa has to go to work. You go back and stay at Fairchild Estate. When youโre not tired, come back and have dinner with Grandpa, your uncle, your aunt, and your brother."
"Okay, Grandpa." Luna Axton knew her grandfather was in a hurry to get to work, so she didnโt want to hold him up and obediently agreed.
After speaking with his granddaughter, Theodore Frost turned to his very satisfactory grandson-in-law and instructed him,
"Blaze, I checked the pulses for both Luna and Lucky yesterday evening and again this morning. Theyโre both perfectly healthy. Make sure Luna stays in good spirits and gets a moderate amount of exercise. She canโt be left alone in the time leading up to the birth, so Iโll have to ask you to take extra care."
"Donโt worry, Grandpa. Iโll be personally taking care of Luna from now on," Blaze Fairchild said as if it were the most natural thing in the world.
Luna Axton was slightly taken aback. โHow else is he going to personally take care of me?โ
Hearing his sincere words, Theodore Frost knew Blaze got the message without needing further explanation. He simply patted his shoulder in approval.
Russell Frost and Jenna Axton finished speaking with Julian Fairchild and walked over as well.
Given the current situation, Theodore Frost was most worried about his youngest son and daughter.
The Frost Family had accepted their marriage, but the two had once been publicly known as brother and sister.
A reasonable person, knowing they werenโt blood-related, would naturally not say anything.
But if someone with ulterior motives took things out of context to slander them, their already precarious diplomatic work would only become more difficult.
"You two will be far away from us. Keep a low profile, donโt use your official positions for personal matters, and contact the family immediately if anything comes up."
Jenna Axton hugged him. "Dad, weโll remember. You need to take care of yourself too."
Russell Frost stood motionless, gazing deeply at his father.
As Jenna and Theodore hugged, she didnโt see the grave expressions shared between father and son.
They were all intelligent people. Theodore naturally understood that some things were bound to happen, and there was no solution other than to face them head-on.
Worrying would only be a superfluous emotion and an unnecessary source of stress.
Theodore patted Jennaโs back. "Go home, pack your bags, and head to the airport. Donโt cut it too close."
Jenna exchanged a few more words with her big brother, sister-in-law, and Ethan Frost, and then the family parted ways.
Those who had to work went to Concordia Medical Hall, while Blaze Fairchild was responsible for driving Russell and his wife to the airport.
They had been rushing around all morning. Now, under the watchful eyes of Luna Axton and Blaze Fairchild, the couple passed through security and entered the VIP lounge.
"Ah, my headโs been spinning all morning. I can finally sit down for a bit." Jenna Axton sank into an armchair, her whole body relaxing.
Russell Frost sorted and put away their boarding passes and other documents, a smile on his lips. "We had fun drinking last night, so we should have expected the headache this morning. Itโs always been like this. Whenever you get together with my sister-in-law, the house is never quiet."
"Well, thatโs because you, Big Brother, and Mom and Dad all spoil me. Itโs not my fault."
"Just keep being spoiled rotten!" Though his words were tough, he had already stood up and gone to find an attendant.
"Hello, excuse me, do you have any tomato juice or glucose?"
"Are you feeling unwell, sir?"
"My wife had a little to drink last night and sheโs still a bit dizzy," Russell explained.
"We donโt have tomato juice, but we do have ruby tomatoes prepared for our guests. We also have glucose. Iโll prepare some and bring it over to you."
"Okay, thank you very much."
Russell nodded his thanks. As he was about to leave, he inadvertently noticed someone sitting with their back to the service counter.
The person had their hair in a low bun and was wearing sunglasses and in-ear Bluetooth headphones. Their fingers, adorned with bright red nail polish, were holding a cup as they drank.
โWhere is she going?โ
Russellโs curious steps paused for a moment, but then he walked away in Jenna Axtonโs direction as if he hadnโt noticed anything.
Yvonne Rhodesโs voice trickled into Rosalind Fairchildโs earbud. "Auntie, I called him as soon as I got back last night to convey your wishes. He said he would consider it."
Rosalind Fairchild set down her cup. The coffee, made from low-quality beans, had a taste that made her frown in displeasure. Her voice was full of criticism. "He said heโd consider it, and youโre just not going to make any more effort?"
"Youโre the one who wants the divorce, arenโt you? Youโre begging him, not the other way around. A whole morning has passed, and he still hasnโt โconsideredโ it?"
โHas Yvonne Rhodes been beaten stupid? Where did all that cleverness she had working in PR at Evergrow Group go?โ
"Auntie, Iโll call and ask right now..."
โWhat a useless piece of trash!โ
"Whatโs the point of calling!" Rosalind Fairchild was furious and cut her off. "Youโre his wife. Go to his office and find him. Make a scene in front of all his employees. Letโs see if he still dares to drag out the divorce then."
"I understand, Auntie." Yvonne Rhodes was meek and submissive. She would do as her aunt said and leave right away.
Seeing her obedience, Rosalindโs anger subsided slightly. "Donโt put on too much makeup. Use the kind you can wipe off with a tissue."
Yvonne understood immediately. The corners of her lips curled into a smile as she offered a sincere compliment, "Youโre still the one with the best ideas, Auntie."
โIf he dares to disagree, Iโll remove my makeup right there in his office and let everyone know about his abusive nature.โ
โAnd his business partners... isnโt Auntieโs ten million more than what he gets from kissing up to people?โ
Rosalind Fairchild was still waiting for Yvonne Rhodes to get things done. Naturally, her only thought was to help Yvonne break free; she didnโt care if this move was mutually destructive.
After running into Jenna Axton and Russell Frost at the mall yesterday, she had made up her mind. If she couldnโt have the man she wanted, she would destroy him. No one else could have him either.
She had originally planned to wait for Yvonne Rhodes to get free and then send her to Kensing to gather evidence.
But the moment she thought of Adriana Frostโs smileโso happy, so blissfulโshe felt an overwhelming urge to make Adriana Frost cry.
She hadnโt slept well all night. She had stayed up to book a ticket on the earliest flight. She was going to Kensing today.
