When His Nauseous Sweetheart Frowns, the Tycoon's Family Takes Turns Pampering Her-Chapter 136: Ian Is Even Purer Than Me
’Role-play at home with Blaze Fairchild, like Lindsey and Wyatt Kingston?’
’No, no, no...’
Luna Axton shook her head again and again.
’Based on what I know about Blaze Fairchild, that kind of game would only benefit him. I’d just end up exhausted.’
But...
Suddenly, the image of his back muscles in the morning sun flashed through Luna Axton’s mind.
’If he put on an apron just like that, it would be quite a sight.’
"Hahaha..." As the thought crossed her mind, Luna Axton couldn’t help but laugh out loud.
"Luna Axton?"
Joy Coleman’s confused voice pulled her back to reality. The corners of her lips were still turned up in a smile.
Luna Axton’s voice was flustered, betraying her guilt. "Huh? What is it?"
Joy Coleman asked, "Do you want to eat this?"
Luna Axton looked at the object in her hand. It seemed a little familiar. "Yeah, I’ll eat it."
"Luna Axton!" Joy Coleman suddenly hooked an arm around her neck, saying through gritted teeth, "This is a bar of soap! What do you mean, you’ll eat it?!"
Ah!
Luna Axton took a closer look. Sure enough, the object in Lindsey’s hand was the handmade soap she had given her.
Lindsey’s nose was stuffed up from her cold, and she said sniffing the cold pine scent of the soap helped her feel a bit better, so she had been carrying it with her.
"I couldn’t see it clearly," Luna Axton said defensively.
"You couldn’t see it clearly from this close?" Joy Coleman had already noticed something was off with her. "This is the handmade soap you gave me. You made it yourself, and you’re telling me you didn’t recognize it!"
Luna Axton thought about the fantasy she’d just had. ’There’s no way I’m telling her about that.’
"I forgot. It’s been over a month."
Joy Coleman gave her a sly smile. "And you think I believe that?"
"Hehe..." Luna Axton gave her an appeasing smile.
’I hope Lindsey drops it. Caleb is still driving.’
But Joy Coleman had no intention of letting her off the hook. She whispered in her ear:
"Luna Axton, your face turned red after you looked at your phone. You looked just like you do when you see a kissing scene on TV. And you had such a dirty smile. You were definitely thinking about something shameless."
’I know Lindsey as well as she knows me.’
"I..."
"Hmm?" Joy Coleman wore a mischievous grin.
Luna Axton raised an eyebrow and admitted freely, "It’s exactly what you think. I was reading a message from Blaze Fairchild!"
’It’s all legal, anyway. We’re already expecting a child, so there’s nothing to be embarrassed about.’
"Ah!" Joy Coleman recoiled.
But she was just too curious about her best friend’s married life, so she leaned in again and whispered, "You two..."
Luna Axton glanced at Caleb in the driver’s seat. ’Caleb has sharp ears.’
She immediately covered Joy Coleman’s mouth and fobbed her off with a solemn, "It’s normal."
"Ohh... you two..."
Joy Coleman’s meaningful gaze drifted downward to Luna Axton’s baby bump. The rest of her unfinished sentence was self-evident.
"That’s not it!"
"Ohh!" Joy Coleman said with a look of understanding.
The next second, Luna Axton watched helplessly as the partition between the front and back seats slowly rose.
’Caleb must have heard our conversation.’ Mortified, she smacked Joy Coleman’s leg.
"Seriously, what’s going through the mind of an unmarried girl like you?"
"I..." Looking at Luna’s fair, innocent face and her clear, bright eyes, Joy Coleman found herself unable to say anything impure. "Anyway, I’ve had experience."
Luna Axton was shocked. "You!"
She couldn’t recall a single clue. "When did this happen?" 𝗳𝚛𝗲𝕖𝕨𝕖𝗯𝚗𝚘𝕧𝕖𝗹.𝗰𝗼𝕞
"I’ve dated so many guys. How could nothing have happened?"
Luna Axton did remember meeting Lindsey’s first boyfriend, back before her mother got sick and came to Valoria.
He was also a law student, two years ahead of Lindsey.
Luna still remembered why Lindsey and the upperclassman broke up.
The three of them had gone out together, and after they returned to school, the upperclassman pestered Lindsey for her WeChat ID.
After that, Lindsey started changing boyfriends more often than Luna changed part-time jobs. She would go after any guy she took a fancy to. Once she caught him, they’d date for no more than a week before she’d break up with him for some inexplicable reason.
"Which one was it?" Luna Axton asked curiously.
"The first one."
"No way." Luna Axton was both uncomprehending and a little sad.
’If it was her first boyfriend, that was before Mom got sick. I had so much time back then, but I never noticed any change in Lindsey.’
"Luna, I hid it from you on purpose." Joy Coleman knew Luna would blame herself. "We had already slept together before I introduced him to you."
"When he started pestering me for your WeChat, I realized something was wrong with him. After doing some digging and asking around, I found out he was using his position in the student union and as an upperclassman to ’help’ new students, just so he could prey on the first-year girls."
’So, after sleeping with Lindsey, the upperclassman then set his sights on me. And he had the nerve to ask Lindsey for my contact information.’
’He’s worse than an animal!’
Luna Axton was filled with righteous indignation. "That’s outrageous! Where is he now? We can’t just let him get away with this!"
’Even though it happened three years ago, she wouldn’t let anyone who hurt Lindsey get off easy.’
"Luna, it’s all in the past. It was consensual. Still... he had a nice body. And that was the only time."
’A nice body? That was just Lindsey trying to comfort me.’
It was only then that she realized it: the way Lindsey changed boyfriends so frequently—chasing them the moment she was interested, then dumping them as soon as she got them—wasn’t that her way of getting revenge on men?
Luna Axton held out her arms. "Let me give you a hug."
For this IV drip session, Wyatt Kingston had come fully prepared.
A small blanket, a seat cushion, warm water, snacks and fruit, a small footstool, and even a warmer that clipped onto the IV tube—he had bought it all online in a short amount of time.
"You have a seat too, Luna." Wyatt Kingston unfolded a camping chair and placed it next to Joy Coleman.
Luna Axton was surprised that one of Blaze Fairchild’s friends could be so thoughtful. "Have you had a lot of girlfriends?"
’He’s so good at taking care of people.’
"Me...?" Wyatt Kingston scratched his head, embarrassed. "My old man was really strict back in the day. I’ve never dated anyone."
Wyatt Kingston was quick on the uptake and sensed what she was getting at. "Don’t worry, Luna. Ian has never had a girlfriend either. He’s even more innocent than me. He doesn’t even like bars..."
Wyatt Kingston mentally slapped his own stupid mouth. Blaze not only owned a bar, he practically lived in one.
’Will she think I’m tainted now?’
He cautiously glanced over at Joy Coleman. She was drinking water and probably hadn’t heard him.
Luna Axton kept a straight face. ’Blaze Fairchild really never had a girlfriend before me?’
’That can’t be right.’
’I don’t believe it.’
"Mr. Kingston, I see you’re quite skilled at household chores. Do you usually live by yourself?"
Hearing this, Wyatt Kingston’s eyes lit up with astonished delight.
’Has Luna been won over by my seafood congee?’
’This is basically her helping me out, trying to set me up with Joy!’
’I have to be on my best behavior.’
"My mother taught me. And I also watch how the assistants at my company take care of the artists."
Luna Axton gave him another thumbs-up. "You’re amazing!"
’She was sincerely praising him. It was rare to see a man who could do chores so methodically and also knew how to cook.’
’At least, among the men she knew, the only ones who could do all that were Mr. Coleman and Wyatt Kingston.’
Joy Coleman’s expression became a little unnatural. She put down her cup of warm water. "You should go home and catch up on sleep. I’ll be fine with Luna here to keep me company during my IV drip."
’She, on the other hand, had slept quite well last night. With his long legs, Wyatt Kingston must have been miserably cramped on her little two-seater sofa.’
Having gotten a taste of encouragement, Wyatt Kingston naturally did whatever Joy Coleman told him to do.
While Joy Coleman was getting her IV, the two of them chatted from time to time.
There were other patients in the infusion room, and chatting would disturb them.
So Luna Axton took out a textbook and started studying for her upcoming classes.
Blaze Fairchild arrived at the hospital before Wyatt Kingston did.
Luna Axton looked at the wall clock. It wasn’t even five o’clock yet.
"What are you doing here?"
"I didn’t have much work this afternoon," Blaze Fairchild said casually.
Seeing that the CEO himself had come to pick up Luna, Joy Coleman tactfully urged her to go home.
Luna Axton’s feet were feeling swollen, and she did indeed want to go home and lie down.
"I’ll have Caleb wait for you. He can drive you home after your IV is done."
"I have a part-time helper, don’t worry." Joy Coleman blinked. "Also, don’t bother coming tomorrow. I’m almost fully recovered."
"Got it."
