What Would You Do If An Ugly Woman Asked You To Dual Cultivate?-Chapter 39: Ride in Carriage
Chapter 39 - Ride in Carriage
Yang Hao stood still, still surprised by Jiang Chenxue's words. A voice suddenly popped into his head. "Ask her why she thinks you have the Yang Element," Yu Ruyi said.
Yang Hao cleared his throat and turned to Jiang Chenxue. "Uh, why do you think I have the Yang Element?" he asked.
Jiang Chenxue leaned back in her chair, her expression calm. "I've been studying the Yang Element for a long time. I know it's made up of Fire, Thunder, and Light Elements. I'm very familiar with those three, and I understand them well. When I sensed you, I felt all three elements. But your Thunder and Light are very weak compared to your Fire."
Yang Hao nodded slowly, taking it in. Then he frowned and asked, "So, what should I do about it?" Yeah, now that he was exposed, what did Jiang Chenxue want from her.
She smiled gently and folded her hands on the table. "I'm researching the Yang Element, and you're someone who has it. So, I'd like you to help me with my work. In return, I'll make pills for you—whatever you need. What do you think?"
Yang Hao didn't answer right away. He stayed quiet, his mind racing. Inside his head, he was talking to Navrita and Yu Ruyi. "What should I do?" he thought.
"Refuse her," Yu Ruyi said firmly. "Refuse, but if she threatens you, then agree."
"Why don't I just kill her?" Navrita's voice cut in.
"Just shut up," Yu Ruyi silence her.
Yang Hao took a deep breath and looked at Jiang Chenxue. "Thank you for the offer," he said politely, bowing his head a little. "But I don't think I can help you right now. I hope you understand."
Jiang Chenxue raised her eyebrows, looking surprised. After a moment, she nodded. "Okay, that's fine. But if you change your mind and want to help, feel free to contact me anytime." She reached down and pulled something from between her breast. Then she tossed it to him.
Yang Hao caught it quickly. It was a smooth, milky-white token with the words "Fragrance Pure Lotus Sect" carved into it. He stared at it, shocked. He felt warmth of her breast and a sweet fragrance.
"This token comes from the Fragrance Pure Lotus Sect," Jiang Chenxue explained. "It's one of the Eight Major Forces in the Mortal Elemental World. Our sect is famous for its alchemists. If you ever need help, use the token freely."
Yang Hao hesitated, holding the token tightly. "But... I said no to helping you," he said, unsure.
She smiled again, her eyes bright. "With the Yang Element, I believe you can become someone great. So, wait one day. I'll teach you how to combine those elements and use the Yang Element properly. It's just an investment in your potential."
Yang Hao nodded, feeling a mix of relief and confusion. "So, can I leave now?" he asked.
Jiang Chenxue nodded. "Yes, you can go." But as he turned to leave, she called out, "Wait, Yang Hao." He stopped and looked back. "Don't take any carriage. Ride with me in mine instead."
He thought about it for a moment, then nodded. "Okay, I'll do that." With that, he stepped out of the room, the token still warm in his hand.

After leaving the room, Yang Hao turned his thoughts inward and asked Yu Ruyi and Navrita, "What should I do?" Both of them told him to relax and go along with Jiang Chenxue. In any case, if she had any bad intentions, Navrita and Yu Ruyi assured him they had enough strength to kill her instantly.
So, Yang Hao nodded to himself and prepared to set out. When all the carriages were ready, he was set to go too. But every carriage left without him because Jiang Chenxue was riding in a different one.
He didn't have to wait long. Soon, she walked out, and her new outfit caught his eye. Instead of the elegant gray gown and fur-lined cloak from the office, she now wore a practical yet striking traveling outfit. A deep blue tunic hugged her frame, its edges embroidered with silver thread that glinted in the sunlight. Over it, she had a lightweight, dark green cloak that flowed behind her, fastened with a simple silver clasp. Her legs were covered by fitted black trousers, and sturdy leather boots reached up to her calves, perfect for the journey ahead. Her golden hair was still braided, but now it was tucked under a soft hood, and the gold circlet was replaced by a thin silver headband.
Soon, Yang Hao and Jiang Chenxue stepped into the carriage, the wooden door creaking shut behind them. The vehicle jolted slightly as it began to move, the rhythmic clatter of hooves on the road filling the air. Inside, the space was cozy, with cushioned benches and a small window letting in slivers of daylight. Jiang Chenxue settled across from him, adjusting her cloak, and turned her gaze toward him with a curious smile.
"So, Yang Hao," she began, her voice warm but steady, "what are your plans? What do you see for your future?"
Yang Hao shifted in his seat, thinking for a moment before answering. "Well, I've been thinking about reaching the 9th Stage of the Mortal Elemental realm first. After that, I'd like to find a sect to join—somewhere I can grow stronger."
Jiang Chenxue nodded, her eyes lighting up. "That's a solid goal. Have you thought about which sect? If you're open to suggestions, I'd recommend the Unified Elemental Sect. It's one of the most powerful sects around—great for someone with your potential."
Yang Hao tilted his head, considering her words. "Unified Elemental Sect, huh? I'll think about it. Thanks for the suggestion."
She smiled, seeming pleased, then leaned forward slightly. "Since you've got the Yang Element, let's start working on it. I can teach you how to fuse the Light, Fire, and Thunder elements. Are you up for it?"
"Yeah, I'd like that," Yang Hao said, sitting up straighter. "Go ahead and show me."
Jiang Chenxue moved closer, her expression focused. "Okay, this might feel a little strange at first. I'm going to touch your chest to guide the energy. Just relax and follow my lead." She placed her hand gently over his chest, her fingers warm against his skin. "Now, close your eyes. Feel the air around us. Try to pull in the Fire, Thunder, and Light elements from the environment."
Yang Hao nodded, shutting his eyes. He concentrated, sensing faint traces of warmth, a crackle of energy, and a soft glow. "I think I feel something," he said quietly.

"Good," she replied. "Now, imagine bringing them together inside you. Let the Fire lead, then mix in the Thunder and Light slowly. I'll help guide it." Her hand pressed a little firmer, and he felt a tingling sensation as the elements began to blend. "Keep going—let them fuse into one flow."
After a few minutes of focus, Yang Hao opened his eyes, a surprised look crossing his face. "Whoa... I did it! I can feel the Yang Element now!" He glanced at her, a bit amazed. Although this technique was not as fast as Navrita, it was still a good technique.
"I'm glad you learn it," Jiang Chenxue smiled at him.
Inside her mind, though, she was stunned. He learned it in just a few minutes? I've never seen anyone pick up the fusion that fast. Is his potential really this high? She kept her face calm, not letting her shock show, and simply nodded at him.
"Alright," she said aloud, pulling her hand back. "Now that you've got the basics, you need to get familiar with the Yang Element. Practice it on your own during the journey. Feel how it moves inside you. If you any questions, then ask me."
Yang Hao nodded eagerly. "Got it. I'll keep practicing."
The days passed quickly as the carriage rolled on, the landscape shifting from villages to rolling hills. Yang Hao spent the time focusing, repeating the process Jiang Chenxue had shown him. Each time, he touched his chest, drawing in Fire, Thunder, and Light from the air, fusing them within himself. The sensation grew more natural with every try, the energy settling into a steady warmth he could recognize. Jiang Chenxue watched quietly, offering a nod or a quiet "Good" now and then, but mostly letting him figure it out. While she also provided him a lot of pills, and Yang Hao never eat as much pills he eat in last three days. Jiang Chenxue was walking pill storage.
However he was bit regretful, if he used the technique of Navrita then his cultivation would be faster but he had to act in front of Jinag Chenxue.
