Once the two strange demons were taken care of, the rest of the demonic cultivators and demons all backed down.

Seeing the vampire and the lava demon being taken down, they recognized that they weren’t able to do a single thing to our group. The fear that they had been suppressing came up and they all turned to run.

It seemed that there was nothing that was worth them to risk their lives against certain death.

That created a clear path for us to take.

I just led the way, heading in the direction of the red dot that was on the map.

But as I was heading in that direction, I couldn’t help complaining to the system, "Don’t you see just how many enemies there are here? Shouldn’t you at least mark them on the map so I know how many enemies I’m facing?"

The system remained silent even though I was calling it out.

It didn’t seem like it would respond no matter how I called out to it.

I could already guess that this would happen since the last time I asked it to map out the castle, it had completely ignored me.

I could guess that it took a lot of resources for it to do this or it was forbidden for the system to give me too much information, which was why it remained silent like this.

But there was nothing gained from nothing ventured.

It was a strange sight for me who came from Earth.

That was because it was a horde of zombies that suddenly came out of the forest that was around us.

It wasn’t the kind of zombie that one might find in the cultivation world. It wasn’t the jiangshi that would be considered puppets used by cultivators to fight with.

These were actual zombies that one might find in a horror movie.

With the numbers that they had, it was clear that they weren’t being controlled by anything.

Though it was strange seeing them walking towards us like this.

It certainly looked like they were being controlled by something to come in our direction. Or at the very least, it seemed like they were coming towards us because they were attracted to the living scent that came from us.

With the appearance of the zombies, it certainly was a terrifying sight seeing them approach.

Liu Ao Xue, Mu Bao Bao, and Lin Li Zi immediately moved over to my side even though they were clearly much stronger than any of the zombies that were approaching. Even if they were surrounded by these zombies, they wouldn’t be able to do much to them.

That was just how strong the three of them were.

However, they were scared because of the appearance of these zombies.

Girls really didn’t like things like this after all.

As for the female lackeys, I could see that they were trembling because of the zombies that appeared, but they still stood their ground at the edges of the golden barrier.

After being surprised by the appearance of the zombies, I slowly realized what they were here for.

After what had happened with the vampire and the lava demon, it seemed like the enemy realized that they weren’t able to stop us. So instead of trying to stop us, it seemed that they were planning on using these zombies to stall us.

It seemed that they were preparing something to fight against us, which was why they needed these zombies to stall for time.

The more time that we gave them, the more time that they would be able to prepare...

That wasn’t a good thing.

So I took a deep breath and said, "Push through as fast as you can, they’re just trying to stall us."

The lackeys were surprised to hear this, but then they revealed serious looks and quickly gathered up their spiritual energy.

There was no doubt in their eyes as they immediately looked forward and prepared to go all out.

I followed up with them by moving forward, moving the golden barrier and the light of the lamp forward.

The light of the lamp actually had a strong effect on these zombies and it seemed like they were completely restrained by the light of the lamp, so the lackeys didn’t even need to use that much power to kill them.

We were able to mow down the waves of zombies that were in front of us as we approached the red dot on the map.

The closer that we came to the red dot, the stronger the scarlet rain was.

But the lamp was able to purify all of the scarlet rain that fell around us. It completely erased all of the drops of scarlet rain that were around us.

However, that wasn’t the only thing that changed around us as we came closer.

The trees themselves seemed like they were corrupted by the demonic energy that was present as they all lost their vitality.

There seemed to be only withered trees in the surrounding area, which showed that all of the vitality of this land had been absorbed by the owner of this demonic energy.

Once we were close enough, there was even this beam of red light that was coming from in front of us.

There was no mistaking it, this was the source of everything.

I narrowed my eyes to look at this beam of red light before saying, "Everyone, prepare yourselves. It’s time for the final battle."

Everyone gave a determined nod.
