Chapter 292: Chapter 128: Hundred Ghosts Gang, Exaggerated Spoils!

The military saber raised his hand in a gesture.

Chu Yunfeng nodded, without a hint of hesitation.

His hand reached behind him, grasped the zipper of his jumpsuit raincoat, and slowly pulled it down.

This type of jumpsuit raincoat is most practical in the wilderness; pulling the zipper to the bottom can wrap the whole body, ensuring no rainwater seeps into the lining to wet the clothes.

But soon, the military saber’s expression changed slightly.

When the raincoat was pulled down to the chest, a cross of black belts appeared on Chu Yunfeng’s front.

Every few inches on the belt, a handgun was holstered, all apparently the standard issue guard handguns of Happiness City.

There were at least seven or eight, densely packed across the entire chest, like a warrior from some primitive tribe adorned with bone teeth trophies.

"This..." The military saber’s Adam’s apple moved with effort.

It’s not unusual for scavengers in Happiness City to carry one or two guns for self-defense.

Even those carrying three to five, both long and short, are understandable.

But this was the first time he’d seen someone with handguns circled around their chest in nearly four years of duty.

However, as the raincoat continued to come down, the military saber’s expression changed entirely, with pupils contracting suddenly.

Chu Yunfeng’s waist, abdomen, and even outer thighs were wrapped in circle after circle of belts, layer upon layer, almost disguising his original form.

In addition to more types of guns, there were four cold weapons of various lengths and styles.

Their surfaces gleamed with a sharpness that was evidently more than average, crafted with extraordinary ore materials.

But what caught the eye the most was the complete ring of grenades on his waist.

The black spherical bodies were full and round, with the safety pin rings threaded together with a fine chain, gently swaying with his movements, each one silently announcing a sense of threat.

Holy shit.

The only words left in the military saber’s mind, he even forgot to breathe.

This was no scavenger, clearly it was a walking human arsenal!

He almost reflexively reached for the gun at his waist, reacting as if facing "major dread," forgetting that this was a friend of Cheng Ye.

But in the next second, a hand gently pressed on his shoulder.

It was Cheng Ye.

Exactly when Cheng Ye had come over wasn’t clear, but his fingers were slightly cool, and the pressure on the shoulder was steady, instantly quelling all of the latter’s impulses.

The military saber turned his head, seeking in Cheng Ye’s face a reflection of his own shock, only to find Cheng Ye wasn’t looking at him at all.

Instead, his gaze was fixed firmly on Chu Yunfeng, or rather, on the weapons covering him.

There wasn’t much surprise in his eyes, but rather a look of seeing something interesting, written with intrigued curiosity.

The military saber could only turn his head, as the two of them quietly watched as Chu Yunfeng entirely removed the raincoat, revealing the pure black tactical suit tightly bound by belts underneath.

The suit was covered in dark red stains, some areas congealed into lumps, obviously dried scabs.

Most striking was the embossing on the chest, of a fanged ghost head, with bulging cheeks as if stuffed with something, protruding outwardly.

Until Chu Yunfeng laid down all his weapons, covering the entire inspection table densely.

Only then did Cheng Ye speak, his tone as plain as if asking about a meal: "Any more?"

"Hmm..." Chu Yunfeng paused, nodded honestly, "Yes, there’s more!"

???

The military saber was completely dumbfounded, eyes wide like bronze bells.

More?

He nearly brought an entire armory, where else could it be pulled from? Surely not hiding grenades in...you know?

The next second, he saw Chu Yunfeng bend down to untie the waterproof bag on the right hand side.

The zipper came open with a ripping sound, and he reached inside, pulling out one gun after another.

Unbelievable, while others’ waterproof bags came from city ruins,

this seemed like it had been stocked from a military outlet!

Inside were brand new guard rifles, the gunmetal still shimmering with a cold, hard luster, emanating a heavy scent of gun oil, evidently barely used new items.

One, two, three...

Twenty-two rifles were laid out under the canopy in a row, taking up more than half the space, with the muzzles neatly pointing towards where the two stood, like a silent forest of steel.

"Anymore?" Cheng Ye’s voice sounded again, unperturbed.

"Yes, there’s more!"

More?!

The military saber felt his worldview was about to be overturned.

Chu Yunfeng opened the waterproof bag on the left side again, mostly containing guard rifles, but Cheng Ye’s keen eyes spotted two even longer guns at the bottom.

The barrels had spiral grooves patterned, with rubberized grips on the stocks, topped with forearm-length scopes.

Sniper rifles?

These require clearance to purchase, and they’re highly powerful, classified as controlled items.

Interesting.

What armory was this one looted from?

Considering the ghost head symbol on Chu Yunfeng’s chest, Cheng Ye pondered, "Are you injured?"

"No."

"Good, put the items down, let’s start with the standard inspection process."

Cheng Ye turned back to the table, pulled out a chair to sit, as if he hadn’t just seen enough arsenal to equip three squads, but rather some ordinary merchandise.

Before truly stepping onto the Martial Path, he could vaguely sense Chu Yunfeng’s extraordinary nature.

But now, even though Chu Yunfeng and Master Tian both had Level 4 skills, he inexplicably felt Chu Yunfeng’s aura was even greater.

Such a formidable person, how could they possibly be content living quietly as an ordinary person in Happiness City, struggling to make ends meet like those migrants relying on manual labor to survive?
