Sharon Cheney and Elaine Vaughn both laughed.

Having been in the entertainment industry for over twenty years, Bella Acker was truly the most naive newcomer actress they had ever encountered. Especially in front of those she trusted, all her emotions seemed to be transparently laid out on her face. Just a glance and you would understand, there’s no need to guess.

Bella Acker wiped the tears from her face, her eyes still a little red. That look of hers, as if she couldn’t be more wronged. Seeing this made Sharon Cheney and Elaine Vaughn’s hearts soften, and they couldn’t help wanting to treat her like their own daughter, to protect and cherish her more.

"Alright, little kitten, it’s just a man, it’s no big deal. Let’s go change clothes, Ms. Flynn will take you to somewhere nice tonight." Elaine Vaughn said, winking at Sharon Cheney, "Sharon, you haven’t relaxed in a while either. The three of us ladies will enjoy ourselves tonight, and let those bothersome things be damned!"

Sharon Cheney tended to enjoy peace and quiet; even when she had the time, she mostly stayed at home reading books. Occasionally, she would be dragged out by her close friends, but it was usually just for tea or coffee, nothing more.

She knew Elaine Vaughn was feeling repressed, so she didn’t dampen the mood, "Alright, then tonight Bella and I will follow you. Just one thing, the two of us are fine, but Bella is definitely going to be in the public eye as an actress in the future, so you need to be cautious."

"Don’t worry, I know what I’m doing," Elaine Vaughn smiled, picking up her bag from the side and taking out the car keys, "Let’s go, there are clothes at the place, so we don’t need to go home. We can just rent clothes there."

"You can rent clothes?" Sharon Cheney frowned, "Elaine, where exactly are you taking us?"

Bella Acker also widened her eyes in curiosity, waiting for an answer.

Elaine Vaughn smiled mysteriously, unwilling to tell them, "You’ll know when we get there, let’s go!"

Bella Acker and Sharon Cheney were both puzzled, yet also a little curious inside.

The two followed Elaine Vaughn and half an hour later, the car finally reached its destination.

Bella Acker got out of the car and looked up at the sign above the store entrance, "Single Makeup Party? Ms. Flynn, is this the place we’re going to?"

"Yes, come on, the party has already started. Let’s go rent clothes first." Elaine Vaughn parked the car in a temporary parking spot by the roadside, and pulled Bella Acker and Sharon Cheney into a store with a very anime-like style of decoration.

Outside was a cold, snowy winter night, but as soon as the store door opened, a blast of warmth greeted them, followed by cheerful music and dancing people. The stark contrast made Bella Acker feel as if she had stumbled into another world.

It seemed this wasn’t Elaine Vaughn’s first time here. She led the two of them expertly to the back, where they rented three sets of clothes and three masks. 𝑓𝑟ℯ𝘦𝓌𝘦𝘣𝑛𝑜𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝑐ℴ𝓂

"Sharon, you wear this set. Bella, you wear this set." Elaine Vaughn tossed the clothes to the two of them, taking a set herself and dashing into a nearby changing room, "Hurry up, you two, the fun stuff will start soon."

Bella Acker and Sharon Cheney stood outside holding their clothes, looking at each other in bewilderment.

"Ms. Cheney, do we really have to change into these clothes?" Bella Acker looked at the gothic Lolita-style long dress in her hands with some difficulty.

Sharon Cheney sighed, "It’s rare to come to a place like this for fun. We have to try something new, so let’s change."

"Alright... fine." Bella Acker wrinkled her nose, holding the dress as she entered the changing room.
