Walker Of The Worlds-Chapter 2845: Breakthroughs And The Meeting Of Monks
Meng Bai even experimented with combining weapons, like attaching chains of water to hammers or creating a triple-bladed spear.
Every test left Meng Bai more and more amazed at the possibilities before him.
Lin Mu watched silently, a pleased smile on his face.
Meng Bai wasn't just improving—he was evolving.
The more he used it, the better he got at it, and he was loving the skill now.
"This is so good, Master!" Meng Bai couldn't believe he had gotten the best skill for him.
"Continue practicing with it. The Water General's Armament Technique is a top-grade Qi skill after all," Lin Mu stated.
"I will," Meng Bai nodded his head.
Lin Mu continued to guide Meng Bai, but just as he was in the middle of it, a strong energy fluctuation was felt.
HUALA
His gaze shifted towards the Preaching Peak, where the energy fluctuations were coming from.
"An elder broke through?" Lin Mu guessed.
HUALA
And in the next second, another energy fluctuation arose.
HUALA
"A monk this time…" Lin Mu sensed.

In a row, multiple breakthroughs happened, as several monks progressed in their Buddhist techniques.
This wasn't a breakthrough of cultivation base, but rather that of understanding.
'Looks like a lot of them will be breaking through…' Lin Mu thought to himself.
And since they were progressing in their Buddhist techniques, it wouldn't take them long to have their cultivation breakthroughs as well. There was no lack of monks that had been stuck at a bottleneck, and many were at the end of their lifespans.
This breakthrough would be the key they needed to extend their lives further.
And sure enough, as time passed, more monks broke through in their Buddhist techniques, and three more elders did the same. Even the elders who weren't present in the Preaching Hall, such as the reserve elders or those that were in seclusion, also broke through.
Lin Mu's heavenly phenomena had affected the entire Green Lotus Temple, helping everyone. They all took benefit from this and would soon be given a second chance at life.
Three weeks passed like this as the monks continued to progress in their Buddhist techniques. Some of the elders who were in seclusion started having their cultivation breakthroughs at this time, several Immortal Tribulations descending upon the Green Lotus Temple.
The sight was one to behold, as hundreds to thousands of cultivators from around the region gathered to observe from a distance. Due to the Immortal Tribulations, the temple's defensive arrays had activated automatically and prevented the entry of anyone.
It also reduced the impact of the tribulation so that others would not be affected by it.
Two months passed like this as nearly every monk and elder that had benefited from Lin Mu's heavenly phenomena finished their breakthroughs.
Soon a great event was organized to thank Lin Mu for this, which he simply went along with.
Their gratitude was deep and their words endless. After all, many of them had been close to death and could now live longer in the service of Buddha and in spreading his teachings.
The Abbot was incredibly thankful to Lin Mu as well and offered his bow to him, which was quite rare.
After the event ended and Lin Mu had returned to the courtyard along with Monk Hushu, the elders and the Abbot held a private meeting upon the Great Peak. In the chambers, the atmosphere was serious, and no one spoke at first.
"We all know why we are here today," the Abbot was the first to break the silence.
"Indeed, Abbot," the monks nodded.
"Have you been able to confirm it, Abbot?" one of the elders asked.
"Unfortunately not," the Abbot shook his head. "Perhaps it is far too early for us to tell, or perhaps it is because Daoist Lin Mu does not solely walk the path of Buddha, but I cannot confirm his status," the old man stated.
"But there's no other option, is there?" the elders asked.
"Someone with such pure True Buddhist Aura, disposition, and one that can cause all Buddhas to resonate… there can be only one reason…" an elder who had just come out of seclusion spoke.
"Perhaps we might know in the future. After all, Daoist Lin Mu is still young. But eventually, the truth will show itself to us," the Abbot stated.
"Hmm… Still, there have been such legends in the past too," another elder who had come out of seclusion spoke.
"It has been far too long… But all those that managed to do this were indeed reincarnations," the Abbot nodded.
"Then the question is, which Bodhisattva or Buddha is Daoist Lin Mu the reincarnation of?" someone spoke.
If others were to hear this, they would be stunned.
This was a big matter not just for the Green Lotus Temple, but for the entire Buddhist path.
The reincarnation of a Buddha or a Bodhisattva was something that could not only impact them but the entirety of the Immortal Realm. Whenever one such person appeared, they would shape the very history of the world.
Even the Immortal Court had to take this extremely seriously and would take great consideration of such a person. They could very well be the leader of a new generation.
"One thing is for sure though, and I believe this personally," the Abbot spoke, making everyone silent. "Even if Daoist Lin Mu might not be a reincarnation, he might just become a Bodhisattva in the future. As such, I've decided to grant him the White Ruyi Scepter," the Abbot revealed, making everyone's eyes go wide.
"The White Ruyi Scepter!?" the elders could almost not believe it.
"But we don't even have it, do we?" some of the newer elders spoke.
"We do," a very old elder spoke.
"Where is it?" someone asked.
"It is hidden within a secret realm here in the temple," the Abbot revealed, making those that didn't know this shocked.
"How… do we get it then?" they asked.
"I'll get it myself," the Abbot stated. "As such, I want all of you to gather your strength so that we can open the secret realm once more," he requested.
