Villainess X Villain: They are obsessed with each other!-Chapter 58 -: 57 Suspicious.
One day before the Student Council President election at Royal Arcane Academy.
No classes today! Everyone was super busy getting ready for the election, running around like crazy.
In her private room, Rosalina sat at her desk, chin in her hands, looking super bored and a little sad.
She let out a long, dramatic sigh.
"I miss him..." she whispered to herself, pouting.
Julius hadn’t come to the academy today.
He told the academy he was skipping because "no classes = boring," but that was just his excuse.
The real reason? He was planning something secret.
If he showed up and then suddenly disappeared at the perfect moment, everyone would get suspicious.
"Hey, where did Julius go?!" People’s eyes are sharp, you know!
So he decided to stay home in his mansion instead.
Rosalina sighed again. "Even if he stays home, people might still talk... everyone already knows he hates classes anyway." 𝚏𝗿𝗲𝐞𝚠𝕖𝐛𝗻𝗼𝐯𝕖𝚕.𝚌𝗼𝗺
Her cheeks turned a tiny bit pink.
"He only comes to school... for me," she mumbled shyly, a small smile sneaking onto her face.
"But if he’s at home, no one can just walk up and ask him questions, right? Haaa... today feels so empty without him..."
POOF!
A tiny, sleepy version of Rosalina appeared out of nowhere, right on her shoulder!
This mini-Rosalina wobbled left... wobbled right... finally plopped down... and instantly fell asleep. Zzz.
"..." Rosalina stared at her mini-self with wide eyes and a blank face.
After a few seconds she gently poked the tiny head.
Poke~Poke~Poke~
"Hey! Why did you even show up if you’re just gonna sleep?!"
Mini-Rosalina cracked one eye open, yawning so big her whole face stretched.
"Mmm... let me sleeeep〜" she slurred. "Smart Rosalina told me... to come prepare you... for the election... or hubby’s plan... goes poof~"
Rosalina frowned. "Couldn’t they send someone else? What about that devil girl? Or the super clingy one?"
"They pop up every five minutes like I owe them money!"
Mini-Rosalina gave a sleepy giggle. "They said... they’re not coming today. ’If hubby isn’t here, why should we appear in front of that useless woman who can’t even kiss him properly?’ That’s what they said."
Then she yawned one more giant yawn.
"So... I came... but now... I’m gonna... sleep〜"
POOF!
She vanished again.
Rosalina blinked at the empty spot on her shoulder.
"...Seriously?"
She dropped her head back onto the desk with a soft thump.
"Today is going to be loooong~"

Meanwhile, in Alia Ruth’s private cabin...
The place was buzzing with energy.
Helpers dashed here and there, carrying posters, flyers, and stacks of notes. Everyone was in full election mode!
Alia Ruth sat at her desk, scribbling furiously on a sheet of paper.
After a few more quick lines, she finally set her pen down, leaned back, and let out a big, satisfied sigh.
She stretched her arms high above her head with a happy groan.
"Cillian!" she called.
Right beside her, at the same desk, Cillian looked up from his own pile of work.
"What are the chances I’ll actually win?" Alia asked.
Her voice sounded calm and confident, but her eyes searched his face for a real answer.
Cillian gave a small grin. "If Rosalina wasn’t in the picture being her usual arrogant self, I’d say it was a clean 50-50."
"But after the way she’s been acting in front of everyone... I’d put your chances at 70%. The remaining 30% goes to Zenifar Rose."
"Hmm." Alia made a quiet thoughtful sound. She tapped her pen lightly against the desk. "Don’t you think it’s kind of... weird?"
Cillian raised an eyebrow, suddenly curious. "Weird how?"
Alia paused, thinking back over the past few days. She frowned a little. "You remember Rosalina’s speeches, right?"
"Oh yeah," Cillian said with a dry chuckle.
"Hard to forget. Every single one is the same flavor of ’I’m better than all of you.’"
He leaned back and mimicked her dramatic tone.
"’Everyone here is inferior. I alone am superior. And as the superior one, I will graciously protect you inferior beings.’ Classic Rosalina."
Alia nodded slowly. "Exactly. Most candidates promise equality, fairness, working together... all that stuff. But she keeps doubling down on ’I’m above you all.’ And yet..."
She trailed off, brows knitting together.
"And yet?" Cillian prompted, leaning forward now, fully interested.
Alia met his eyes. "She’s arrogant, sure. But she’s not stupid. She has to know speeches like that will turn most people away."
"No one likes being called inferior to their face. So why does she keep saying it? And why does she say it with so much confidence... like she’s waiting for something?"
Cillian blinked. "Waiting for something?"
"Yeah." Alia leaned in closer too, voice dropping.
"It almost feels like she’s baiting everyone. Like she wants people to hate her speeches... so that when something big happens later, she can point and say ’See? I told you so.’"
Cillian blinked at her for a second, then slowly nodded.
"You know... now that you put it like that, it actually makes sense." He rubbed the back of his neck.
"But at the same time... this is Rosalina we’re talking about. Being ridiculously arrogant is kind of her default setting."
He leaned back in his chair, eyes drifting like he was pulling up old memories.
"I still remember this one perticular ball when I was maybe ten? All the big clans from the three floating continents were there.."
"And little Rosalina, same age as me, walks in like she owns the sky."
"The way she talked down to everyone... even the adults were stunned. I mean, who has that much ego at ten? It was almost impressive."
Alia gave a small laugh, but it didn’t reach her eyes. "I wouldn’t know. I’m just a commoner, no fancy balls or ancient clan gossip for me."
"All I know about Rosalina is what everyone whispers: ’child prodigy,’ ’born star,’ ’untouchable.’ So yeah... me getting suspicious probably looks weird from the outside."
Cillian shook his head quickly. "No, no, it doesn’t. You’re right to notice."
"Her speeches are too samey. Too loud. Too confident. It’s screaming one of two things."
He held up a finger. "Option one: she genuinely doesn’t care if she wins the election. She’s just here to flex."
He held up a second finger. "Option two: she’s got a bigger plan."
"And if it’s option two... whatever she’s cooking is probably going to happen today. Because tomorrow morning is voting time. No more stalling."
They both went quiet for a beat.
Cillian finally broke the silence. "So... what do we do?"
Alia’s lips curved into a calm, almost playful smile.
"Nothing."
Cillian raised an eyebrow. "Nothing?"
"Well... nothing we can actually do," she corrected.
"If she’s really planning something, she’s not dumb enough to leave obvious clues lying around. We start poking? We just look paranoid and desperate."
She tapped her pen against the desk a few times.
"Besides, the academy isn’t exactly defenseless. The dean is at Void Core stage."
"Two senior professors too. And who knows how many Spirit Core teachers and guards are wandering around today."
"If Rosalina tries anything big in the middle of all that... she’d have to be insane."
Alia paused, then her eyes sharpened like a blade.
"But," she said slowly, "if something does happen today, anything strange, anything loud, anything that makes people scream or run, then we’ll know."
"No doubt about it. Rosalina’s fingerprints will be all over it."
