Villain MMORPG: Almighty Devil Emperor and His Seven Demonic Wives-Chapter 1050: Maybe I Am A Stranger
Villain Ch 1050. Maybe I Am A Stranger
Allen stood in front of the mirror and stared at himself, almost in disbelief. His hands absentmindedly fixed the ends of his sleeves as he took in the sight. The formal attire seemed almost foreign to him now—a crisp white shirt with a tie, paired with tailored trousers and a blazer. His watch, the one that alone could be worth a high-end car, gleamed under the soft light.
He’d made sure to wear the perfume that matched the elegance of his suit—subtle, yet powerful.
It felt like he hadn’t dressed this formally in ages. Today, though, was different. He felt like he was seeing someone else in the reflection. A real young master of a wealthy family, born with a silver spoon in his mouth, not the kid who grew up too fast, spending most of his time trying to find himself on the streets.
"I can’t believe this is me," Allen muttered under his breath. He gave a soft chuckle, though there was no humor in it, more a mix of disbelief and resignation. It wasn’t that he disliked the image in the mirror, but it felt... detached.
He adjusted his tie, wondering when the last time was that he had cared this much about how he looked. But he didn’t have the luxury to be melancholic right now. He had somewhere to be, and being late wasn’t an option. He grabbed his phone from the table and slipped it into his pocket along with his wallet. Three sleek black credit cards were tucked inside, each one in his name.
They had been issued by Jordan and shared the same unlimited credit. "A little bit of cash" his dad had called it, but Allen knew better. The "little" amount was enough to buy a high-end designer bag, or probably a whole store if he was feeling bold.
It felt strange carrying that much money on him. He was never the kind to bring more than he needed, a habit from his street days. A small smile crept onto his face as he thought of how out of place he would’ve looked if he had pulled out that much cash back then.
"Everything’s ready," he muttered to himself.

Allen stepped outside his room, making his way down the long hallway of his mansion. The garage was quiet, except for the low hum of engines waiting to be fired up. Kai was already there, standing alongside two staff members. One of them was his driver for the afternoon, dressed as sharply as Allen himself.
As soon as he approached, one of the staff members opened the door to the sleek, black car waiting for him.
"You’re on time, as always, sir," Kai commented with a small smile, stepping aside to let Allen enter.
"Couldn’t be late for this one," Allen said, sliding into the back seat. He adjusted himself against the leather, the material cool and soft. He glanced out of the window for a brief moment, gathering his thoughts.
Kai joined him in the back, closing the door behind him with a quiet click. "Nervous?"
Allen huffed out a laugh, though it wasn’t a denial. "A little." He straightened his sleeves once more, a nervous habit he couldn’t shake. "It’s been a while since I’ve had to do anything this… formal."
Kai gave him a look, one filled with understanding. "You’ll be fine, sir. Just remember, you’re a Goldborne. They’re the ones who should be nervous."
Allen turned his gaze to Kai, appreciating the words. "I will try," he murmured. He leaned his head back against the headrest, closing his eyes for a moment.
The soft purr of the car’s engine starting up filled the silence. He could feel the tension, but it wasn’t the usual pre-meeting jitters. It was something deeper. Maybe it was because of the world of his father, the high society, and the expectations that came with being a Goldborne.
The car rolled out of the driveway. Allen glanced at his reflection in the window. It was distorted by the motion, making him look almost like a stranger again.
’Maybe I am a stranger,’ he thought to himself. But he knew he had to adjust himself.
"Where to first, sir?" the driver asked, glancing back through the rearview mirror.
"Crownhall venue," Allen replied, pulling his phone from his pocket. He quickly checked the time and the messages. Nothing from the girls yet. They knew about this meeting and he wasn’t surprised, but there was a part of him, anxious and restless, that hoped for something to distract him. Anything to help settle the nervous energy inside him.
Allen sighed softly and opened one of his gaming forums, his usual go-to whenever he needed a distraction. But today, his heart wasn’t in it. His fingers idly scrolled through posts, barely registering the threads or discussions. Tips for leveling up, discussions about new events, the drama between guilds—it all blurred together as he absentmindedly flicked through the screen. His mind was elsewhere.
Kai noticed Allen’s agitation. "Sir," he began carefully, leaning forward just enough to catch Allen’s attention, "perhaps a drink would help calm your nerves?"
Allen turned to look at him, raising an eyebrow. He hadn’t even realized how tense he’d become, his shoulders stiff and fingers restless. "A drink, huh?" he muttered, considering it. "Yeah, maybe that’s a good idea."
Kai gave a slight nod. He reached for the small bar compartment in the car. Allen had expected him to pull out a soda, maybe something light and fizzy, just enough to take the edge off. But instead, Kai took a wine glass, followed by an elegant bottle of red wine.
"Wait, wait, wait!" Allen said, panic flashing across his face as Kai was about to uncork the bottle. "What are you doing?"
Kai paused, looking slightly confused. "I thought you wanted a drink, sir?"
"I meant a non-alcoholic drink," Allen clarified, his voice still a bit rushed. "Who knows what I’ll say if I get tipsy before this meeting?" He ran a hand through his hair, exhaling sharply. "This is not the time to lose control."
Kai frowned slightly, clearly taken aback by Allen’s reaction. "But, sir, you’re a good drinker, aren’t you? A glass of wine is known to relieve tension."
