Villain MMORPG: Almighty Devil Emperor and His Seven Demonic Wives-Chapter 1037 : Azura’s Departure
Villain Ch 1037. Azura's Departure
The next morning came fast. The clock barely showed 7 AM when Allen woke up, his body moving on autopilot as he remembered his plan to drop Azura off at the station. He was supposed to hit the gym with Gerry this morning, but he had already decided to push that back since he promised to drop Azura off at the station first.
Besides, Gerry was cool about it, even mentioning he didn't need to head into the office today and had a client meeting later in the afternoon. So, Allen wasn't in any rush.
He rolled out of bed and got ready quickly. Even though he was planning to hit the gym later, he hopped into the shower, rinsing off the sleep with cold water to wake himself up. He knew it was probably overkill, but he needed it. By the time he was done, the clock had barely ticked past 7:20, leaving him with just enough time to grab a quick breakfast and prepare for the ride.
Heading downstairs, he found Kai already in the dining room.
"Kai, you got that food I asked for?" Allen asked.
Kai turned with a nod, already expecting Allen's question. "Of course, sir. Your breakfast is ready, and I've packed the food for Miss Azura as requested." He gestured toward the counter where a small, neatly packed container sat along with his protein shake.
Allen grinned. "You're a lifesaver, Kai."
"Just doing my job, sir." Kai's voice was calm, but there was a hint of a smile at the corner of his lips. He had always taken pride in anticipating Allen's needs, even before he asked.
Allen grabbed the container and took a seat, biting into a light sandwich while keeping an eye on the clock. Azura had promised to be ready by 8 AM, so he figured he had time to finish his meal without rushing. But as 8 AM came and went, there was no sign of her. He tapped his fingers on the table, a little amused at how typical this was.
At 8:15, he heard the rapid sound of footsteps rushing down the stairs. Azura finally appeared, her face flushed with panic, her hair slightly disheveled like she had just thrown herself together at the last minute. She had a small purse slung over her shoulder, her only luggage for the trip.
"Allen, I'm so sorry! I overslept!" she blurted out as soon as she saw him, breathless from her rush.
Allen leaned back in his chair, looking at her with an amused grin. "You're 15 minutes late. Not the end of the world, Azura."
"I know, but still…" she huffed, catching her breath. "I hate being late."
He stood up, grabbing the container of food he'd packed for her. "Relax, we've still got time. Here." He handed her the food. "For the trip. You'll need something."
Azura blinked, surprised but grateful. "Thanks… I didn't even think about that."
Kai, who had been standing nearby, stepped forward. "Is there anything else you need, Miss Azura? I can help you pack if you've forgotten anything."
Azura shook her head, her cheeks still a bit flushed. "No, this is it. Just the purse."
"Good thing I'm driving," Allen teased, grabbing his motorcycle keys from the table. "Let's go. Are you ready?"
Azura nodded, though there was a flicker of hesitation in her eyes. She had been on it before, but the idea of flying through traffic on Allen's sport bike always made her a little nervous. Still, she trusted him—more than she'd trust anyone else.
They stepped outside, Allen handed her a helmet. "You remember how this goes, right?"
Azura took the helmet, sliding it over her head with a nod, her fingers fumbling slightly with the strap. "Yeah, just… go easy on the speed, okay?"
Allen chuckled, already straddling the bike. "I always do."
She rolled her eyes but smiled, stepping forward and sliding onto the seat behind him. As soon as her hands wrapped around his waist, she felt the familiar flutter of nerves in her stomach. It wasn't the speed or the bike itself—it was the closeness. The warmth of his body through his jacket, the steady rise and fall of his breathing as she pressed herself against him for balance.
She clutched him a little tighter than necessary, her heart pounding just a little faster than normal.
Allen revved the engine, the roar of the bike filling the quiet morning air. "Hold on tight," he called over his shoulder, though he could already feel her grip tightening around him.

The motorcycle surged forward, and Azura instinctively hugged his waist even tighter, her heart skipping a beat as they zipped down the driveway and out onto the open road. The wind whipped around them, tugging at her clothes and hair, but she found herself relaxing into the ride. With her arms wrapped around Allen, she felt safe—like nothing could go wrong as long as she was with him.
They sped through the city, weaving between cars and cutting through the early morning traffic. Azura's initial panic faded. Instead, she focused on the feeling of freedom that came with the ride. The world rushed by in a blur, and all Azura could think about was the warmth of Allen's body against hers and the steady hum of the motorcycle beneath them.
She rested her head lightly against his back, her nerves settling into a kind of calm she hadn't expected. There was something comforting about being this close to him, something safe in the way he effortlessly controlled the bike. She tightened her grip around his waist, her fingers unconsciously tracing the fabric of his jacket.
But her thoughts were anything but calm. In fact, they were a whirlwind of emotions she'd been trying to suppress for far too long. She even hadn't slept much last night, tossing and turning as her mind raced with thoughts of him. It was the main reason why she woke up late this morning.
