Villain MMORPG: Almighty Devil Emperor and His Seven Demonic Wives-Chapter 1028 : I Will Cook For You
Villain Ch 1028. I Will Cook For You
"Alright," he said softly, nodding in understanding. "But I'll still take you to the station. And you can at least let me get you some coffee and a croissant on the way."
Azura's lips twitched into a small smile, her eyes softening. "Okay," she agreed, her voice barely above a whisper. But behind her smile, her emotions were a storm, swirling and conflicting within her. She looked down at her plate, the food barely touched, and tried to focus on anything but the tightening feeling in her chest. She needed space.
She needed to clear her mind and sort out the confusing mix of emotions that had been building up inside her ever since she had arrived here.
She had to confess, Allen was the first man who had ever made her feel this way. It was strange, unsettling even, to feel so drawn to him. He wasn't just her cousin in name. Her feelings for him had shifted, deepened into something more.
It wasn't supposed to be like this. She knew that. She knew she had fallen in love with the wrong person, someone she could never have in the way she secretly wanted. It was complicated—too complicated.
The warm, fluttering feeling in her chest whenever he was near, the way her heart skipped a beat when he smiled at her, the way she couldn't help but look at him when she thought no one was watching—all of it was wrong. But she couldn't help it. The feelings were there, no matter how much she tried to deny them.
And that was why she needed distance. After spending these past few days with him, surrounded by the girls and the easy affection they shared with him, she realized just how deep her feelings ran. She needed to figure out if this was just a temporary spark, a fleeting crush, or something more. Something that would only cause her more pain if she let it linger.
She felt a strange mixture of warmth and ache every time she saw him with the others—the way he laughed with them, the way he touched them, the way they seemed to understand each other in a way that she wasn't a part of. She envied that closeness, that intimacy. But at the same time, she knew it wasn't her place to feel that way. She couldn't compete with them, and didn't want to.
They were his companions, his partners in a way she could never be.
She needed to clear her mind, to step back and take a breath. She needed to decide whether she could live with these feelings or if she needed to let them go, to bury them deep where they wouldn't hurt so much. And that was why she had to leave, at least for now. Distance would help, she told herself. Time away from Allen and the confusing emotions that tangled her thoughts whenever he was near.
"Is the food not suitable for your liking?" Allen's voice cut through her thoughts, pulling her back to the present. His tone was soft, concerned. She looked up, meeting his gaze. His eyes were gentle, his expression one of genuine worry.
"Not really," Azura replied, forcing a small smile to her lips. "I just… don't really have an appetite," she added, her voice barely above a whisper.
Shea chimed in, her tone encouraging yet firm. "You still need to eat something, though," she said, her concern evident. "You need to keep your strength up."
Emma picked up a forkful of roasted vegetables and leaned over, trying to feed Azura. "Here, try this," she said, her voice light but her expression insistent. "It's good, I promise."
Azura shook her head, pushing the fork away gently. "No, thanks," she said, her smile faltering. She appreciated the gesture, but her stomach felt too tied up in knots to eat.
Emma clicked her tongue in mild frustration. "Tch!" she muttered, clearly not satisfied with Azura's refusal. "You're too stubborn for your own good, you know that?"
Allen watched the exchange with a thoughtful expression. He remembered how Azura had peeked in on him yesterday while he was cooking for the girls. An idea formed in his mind.
"How about I cook something for you?" Allen offered. "Something simple. Just tell me what you want to eat."
Azura blinked, caught off guard by the offer. She opened her mouth to refuse, to say that she was fine, but the words got stuck in her throat. There was a kindness in Allen's eyes.

"I don't want to be a bother," she said finally, though her resolve was wavering.
Allen shook his head, a small smile playing on his lips. "You're not a bother," he said firmly. "I want to do this for you. So, tell me—what do you feel like having?"
Azura hesitated, her mind racing. She didn't want to seem ungrateful, and truth be told, the idea of Allen cooking for her—just for her—made her heart flutter in a way she couldn't quite explain. Maybe it was the intimacy of it, the personal touch that made her feel special, seen. She swallowed, trying to push aside the nervousness that bubbled up inside her.
"Maybe… an omelet?" she said finally, her voice tentative. It was a simple request. She was sure he could make it.
Allen's smile widened. "An omelet it is," he said, standing up from the table. "Give me a few minutes, and I'll have it ready for you." He took the last bite of his lunch and drank his juice in a hurry before making his way to the kitchen. An omelet was simple, something he could whip up quickly and easily. He knew exactly how most people liked it—soft, with a bit of cheese and some herbs.
He wanted to do this right.
The girls watched him go, each of them with a different expression on their faces. Vivian started to stand up, thinking of assisting him. "I will—"
But Jane reached out, gently tugging her back down. "No," she said softly, her voice low enough so that Azura wouldn't hear. Vivian turned her head, confusion in her eyes, and Jane shook her head from side to side. "She wants his cooking, alone."
