Julian’s timing was inch perfect as the blade of the powerful Spear stabbed into the exposed head of the mythical Roc!

The Roc’s skull cracked open from the sheer force and damage being transmitted through the Spear as bright red blood sprayed like rain.

The Roc faltered, strength rapidly waning from its body as its gigantic body started collapsing.

It didn’t see such an intricate maneuver coming, it was caught off-guard.

It was dying, but it didn’t die immediately, showing the ridiculous tenacity of this B Rank Qi Beast.

But even while its strength and vitality rapidly waned, the pride of this mythical Avian Qi Beast meant it had no intention of going quietly as in a moment of spite, pain, and rage, it spread its mighty wings in a bid to flap them.

In that moment, the Roc already made peace with its death and in one final act of vengeance, it wanted to create a hurricane to injure the Demon.

But before its qi could flare and flow properly, the Demon acted first.

BZZZ!

Julian’s red qi flared again and erupted into the surrounding.

Slumber!

It was a mere Level 5 Mage Skill but at this moment, it worked wonders.

By attacking from above and cracking the skull of the Roc open, dealing devastating damage in the process, Julian already left the mythical Qi Beast at death’s door. Its consciousness was rapidly dying.

In that state, it was impossible for the monster to resist the effects of the Slumber spell, and instantly, the already weakened Roc fell asleep.

The Roc fell asleep mid-battle!

Thud!

It finally collapsed to the ground.

Still floating in mid-air above the Roc, Julian lifted his Spear again for another devastating thrust.

Elemental Infusion!

Hellfire!

Thick tongues of deep orange and violet flames swirled around the blade of the Spear, rapidly increasing the heat energy around the blade as it glowed whitish red, then Julian’s Spear hit the exposed skull of the Roc again.

BOOM!

The Spear went all in this time, tearing all the way through the skull as the flames went inside the Avian Qi Beast’s brain, ravaging inside it!

The Roc’s body shuddered once, then it became still.

Julian finally landed with a thud beside the corpse of the mythical Qi Beast as he briefly paid attention to the system notification.

He managed to cull a Qi Beast that was over 20 levels and a whole rank stronger than him in less than 5 seconds!

The Roc didn’t even get a chance to use its skills like Scream and Hurricane.

And throughout, Julian used just 3 different skills, leaving majority of his Mage skills untouched.

This was not a battle at all, this was a one-sided slaughter.

Standing by the side of the training chamber, Elena’s eyes twinkled like stars as she carefully observed the bleeding corpse of the Roc.

’Perfect!’ She thought, then she looked at Lord Zaratul as certain conflicting emotions reflected in her eyes. ’What a monster!’

She could feel her body heating up and her blood boiling at the show of power that she just witnessed.

Once again, Elena was reminded of exactly why she started following Zaratul. ’I can’t wait for him to recover so we can spar again!’ She thought excitedly.

Bzzz!

Julian’s infernal flames burned on the blade of his spear, burning off the remnant blood on it as he calmly turned to look at Elena. "Next".

She nodded and gave a mental command as one of the hidden undead skeletons in the training chamber quickly emerged and pulled the corpse of the mythical Roc away to be turned to food to be processed by the chefs.

Then Elena’s qi flared again, wrapping around another of the cold iron qi chains as another bloodthirsty presence instantly drowned the training chamber.

The moment the new Qi Beast emerged, the training chamber changed.

BZZZZ!

A flash of lightning snaked through the air as massive gray storm clouds immediately gathered inside the training chamber.

And within this storm clouds, a massive storm-empowered monster bird emerged, a creature that looked like a fusion of a giant Eagle, a thunder spirit, and a mythical sky predator.

Julian’s eyes narrowed. ’A Thunderbird!’

The bird was smaller than the already dead Roc but it was also huge with a powerful body that was covered in dark blue feathers. The feathers were sharp and layered, giving it a fierce and armored look.

Its wings were extremely wide and powerful.

Spreading them in a proud and arrogant manner, Julian saw lightning visibly coursing through the feathers of the Thunderbird almost like veins of electricity running across its wings.

Its eyes glowed in a bright electric blue color, while also having a powerful large hooked beak that was designed to effortlessly tear through flesh.

Its tail feathers were long and flowing, trailing dramatically behind it in the wind and lightning of the sudden storm.

The moment the Qi Beast stepped out of its prison, it spread its wings, spreading a mythical storm simply with its presence as it’s large, curved, and golden talons clenched and unclenched, causing thunder to crackle inside the training chamber!

Julian felt like he was suddenly trapped in a stormy sea.

The Thunderbird quickly fixed its eyes on the Demon at the center of the training chamber as its eyes ignited with lightening and electricity!

SHRIEEEEEEKKKK!

It shrieked loudly.

Before Julian could react, a powerful lightning thunderbolt shot out of the Thunderbird’s eyes, reaching him instantaneously!

Julian couldn’t even use blink, the attack was faster than thought!

The Thunderbird’s attack was miles faster than the Roc’s attacks, it was lightning fast!

BAM!

Julian was thrown back as the thunderbolt struck him square on his chest, tearing through his Dragon Scale immediately as blood spilled from his chest!

Despite the grievous wound, Julian was unfazed.

Mid-air as the force of the attack threw him back, his eyes gleamed as he finally used the System Snooping Tool on the monster.
