Veil System: Running a Model, High-End Escort and Marriage Agency-Chapter 20: Veiler—The Snatcher!
Chapter 20: Veiler—The Snatcher!
Adams shifted uncomfortably when Justin used her real family name, but she didn't let it show for long.
Instead, she settled on the couch, her legs crossed, trying to ease the tension in the air. Justin joined her moments later, handing her a fresh glass of whiskey.
She accepted it with a raised brow and smirked. "Drinking during office hours? Especially for someone who's barely 18 and just snagged this place? What would people think, Justin?"
He let out a low laugh, shaking his head as he sat down beside her, setting his own glass down before crossing his legs. "You're leaning into this role way too much. Know your place, Adams. And I'm not bad at drinking. Hell, I can hold my liquor better than most."
She chuckled, taking a sip before responding. "Oh, right. I almost forgot. Most of your scandals were about drugs and clubbing, not about being a lightweight."
Justin grinned at that, his laugh rolling out naturally. "Fabricated scandals, Adams. You know damn well I don't touch drugs. A good drink? Sure. But drugs? Nah. Those stories were just a your own fabricated distraction."
She let out a soft laugh, but there was something nervous beneath it. Justin caught it immediately, leaning back, his tone sharp and cutting. "So, tell me. What was your brilliant plan if you managed to push me out of here? Humor me."
Adams shifted in her seat again, this time visibly uneasy. She cleared her throat, trying to find the right words. "It's not like we can avoid this conversation, huh?" She stared at her whiskey for a moment before meeting his gaze. "The plan... if we'd succeeded in making you step down, the next move was simple. Your parents left enough inheritances to cover the agency's debts, thanks to their names being on those loan papers. If you'd been as naïve as we thought, we could've cornered you, drained you dry, and left you with nothing but this agency holdings. Then, the final nail would've been you selling off your holdings just to survive."
She finished, her voice lower, almost like she didn't want him to hear it. But Justin didn't flinch. His expression remained unchanged, calm as ever, as he nodded slowly.
"Not a bad plan," he admitted, his voice smooth. "But you cooked it up for a version of me that never really existed. A naïve Justin? That's a fantasy. My parents made sure of that when I was four."
Adams' lips twitched like she wanted to argue, but Justin kept going, his tone dropping slightly. "But here's the part you missed. Even if I were naïve, even if I was dumb enough to fall into your little trap, you'd still have a problem. You forget about Selena?"
Her face froze for a second before she forced out a laugh, awkward and strained. "Selena wouldn't have been an issue—"
Justin's eyes narrowed, and then his expression shifted, sharp and edged. "Woah, wait there, you were going to send your mafia family after her, weren't you?"
The anger in his voice was unmistakable, cutting through the room like a blade. Adams' face drained of color, and she swallowed hard, nodding ever so slightly.
"Martinez..." Justin growled, his voice barely above a whisper but filled with raw fury. He stood abruptly, pacing the room as the air around him seemed to thicken with his rage. "You all really overstepped this time. All eight of you."
His hand gripped the glass in his hand tighter and tighter until the sharp crack of shattering glass echoed in the office. Whiskey dripped from his hand, mixing with the broken shards on the floor. But Justin didn't care. His eyes burned with a fire Adams hadn't seen before.
And for the first time in years, she was afraid.
Adams sighed, rubbing her temples. "Look, Justin, we went too far. I went too far. All of us did." She paused, her voice softer. "We were still considering if we'd actually go through with it. We—"
Justin cut her off, his tone sharp. "You would've stopped if she didn't go too far defending me and everything I own?"
She nodded slowly, avoiding his eyes as she stood to move closer to him. She reached for his hand, but Justin pushed it away with a cold, precise motion.
"You knew she was going to do exactly that," he said, his voice rising slightly. "Defend me. The man she raised herself into the adult I am now, while my parents were too busy running the business to care."
Adams opened her mouth to speak, but no words came out.
Justin's voice dropped lower, slicing through the tension like a blade. "Tell me, Martinez, what would you do if you were in her place? You, of all people, know she's more than just my aunt—she's a second mother to me. The woman who actually raised me. My real mother taught me to be a business monster, sure, but Selena... she taught me life."
Adams swallowed hard, unable to meet his piercing gaze.
Justin paced the room, the glass shards from earlier crunching under his shoes. "Ambition, huh? You all wanted the agency so bad you'd even think about eliminating Selena? You'd go that far?" His voice dripped with venom. "Unforgivable."
For a moment, the air in the room seemed suffocating. Adams could feel his anger pulsing like a second heartbeat. But just as quickly as it came, Justin reined it in. He wasn't about to let anger blind him.
No, this was an opportunity—a crack in the armor he could exploit.

His pacing stopped abruptly, and he turned to her, his expression shifting. A devil's smirk spread across his face as he approached her, making Adams' skin crawl. That wasn't a boy walking toward her; it was something far more dangerous—a devil!
He reached her side, his movements slow and deliberate, and placed his hands gently on her shoulders. She flinched but didn't move. His touch was soft, affectionate even, as his fingers trailed up to her cheeks.
"You went too far, Martinez," he said quietly, his thumb brushing against her lips, teasing them until her lips parted slightly. She exhaled shakily, and he chuckled, tracing her lips until her breath nearly pulled his fingers in. He held her ass firmly and lifted her up.
Then he kissed her—hungrily, feverishly. Adams gasped but melted into him, her hands gripping his shoulders before sliding around his neck. Her legs wrapped around his waist instinctively, and she kissed him back, letting the moment swallow her whole.
"But you're mine, Martinez~," Justin murmured against her lips, his voice dripping with seduction. "How could I punish someone as good as you?"
She nodded, breathless, pulling him closer as their kiss deepened.
"My good girl," he whispered against her neck, nipping at her skin before trailing up to her ear. "Your master can't punish you, can he?"
She shook her head, her hunger matching his as her fingers tangled in his hair.
