Unrivaled Soldier in the City-Chapter 394: The Frog in the Well
Seeing this scene, everyone was scared witless. The men from the Island Country had looks of terror in their eyes, as if they had seen a Demon, and their bodies trembled in fear.
Faced with Lin Kuang, these supposedly powerful men from the Island Country had no will to fight whatsoever. He toyed with them completely, having them in the palm of his hand.
In just a few dozen seconds, Lin Kuang had eliminated all of them.
Looking at the dead men from the Island Country, Lin Kuang felt not the slightest bit of joy. After all, they were not significant figures, and killing them wasn't worth feeling any joy over.
At that moment, Sato Ichiro approached with two ninjas.
When Sato Ichiro saw that all his subordinates had been killed by Lin Kuang, he was stunned. How long has it been? My men are already wiped out. This... this is too fast! Is he even human?
Just then, Lin Kuang spotted Sato Ichiro and the two ninjas. A faint smile touched his lips upon seeing them. The big fish has taken the bait!
Lin Kuang looked at the man standing between the two ninjas and asked coolly, "You're Sato Ichiro, right?"
Upon hearing this, Sato Ichiro's expression immediately turned hideous. Lin Kuang's words only confirmed his suspicions: Inoue Kenta had betrayed him. He had betrayed the Empire. Otherwise, how could this man possibly know his name?
"Damn it! Inoue Kenta really deserves to die!" Sato Ichiro exclaimed angrily.
"Indeed, he does deserve to die," Lin Kuang said with a smile, his voice suddenly turning cold. "But you know, so do you."
"I deserve to die? Hmph, you think you can kill me?" Sato Ichiro sneered.
"Yes. Is there anyone else here?" Lin Kuang asked with a grin, watching Sato Ichiro.
Sato Ichiro sneered, "Arrogant Chinaman." He then commanded his men, "You two, go! Take him down!"
"Yes!" the two ninjas responded. They drew their katanas and rushed toward Lin Kuang.
Seeing this, Lin Kuang let out a cold laugh. Facing these two, he couldn't even be bothered to draw Nameless. There was no need to waste time on them. He raised his Desert Eagle and opened fire.
These two ninjas were fairly skilled, managing to dodge his attacks several times. However, just as they were about to reach him, Lin Kuang fired again.
BANG! BANG!
Two bullets struck the ninjas' abdomens, causing their bodies to jolt. The next moment, two more bullets shot out, piercing each of their foreheads. In an instant, both ninjas were dead.
Having eliminated them, Lin Kuang turned his gaze to Sato Ichiro.
At this time, Sato Ichiro's expression was particularly ugly. He had thought the two ninjas could take down Lin Kuang, but who would have guessed that Lin Kuang would eliminate them with just a few shots? This greatly displeased him.
"Damn Chinaman! What can you do besides using firearms?" Sato Ichiro taunted.
"Is that so? Fine by me. I won't use the gun," Lin Kuang said with a smile as he holstered his pistol and stood with his hands clasped behind him.
Seeing this, Sato Ichiro was slightly stunned. He had deliberately goaded Lin Kuang but hadn't actually expected him to fall for it. Yet, here he was, taking the bait. A cold smile returned to Sato Ichiro's face. In his view, if Lin Kuang didn't use his gun, he was as good as dead.
With this thought, a grin spread across Sato Ichiro's face. "Very well. They say Hua Country's Kung Fu is formidable. Let me witness it for myself."
"Of course. I'm more than willing to grant your death wish," Lin Kuang said coldly, looking at Sato Ichiro.
"Hmph, arrogant Chinaman!"
With that, Sato Ichiro drew his katana and charged straight at Lin Kuang.
Lin Kuang stood his ground with a calm expression, showing no intention of dodging. He appeared completely composed as Sato Ichiro charged, bringing his katana down in a vicious slash aimed at Lin Kuang's head. Lin Kuang didn't move a muscle, as if he were frozen in fear. 𝒇𝒓𝙚𝒆𝔀𝓮𝓫𝒏𝓸𝙫𝓮𝓵.𝓬𝙤𝙢
Seeing this, Sato Ichiro sneered inwardly. He assumed Lin Kuang was paralyzed by his intimidating aura, and his disdain for him grew.
Just as the katana was a mere centimeter from Lin Kuang's head, his right hand shot out like a bolt of lightning. His middle and index fingers formed a V-shape, and with those two fingers, he clamped down on the descending blade.
Silently, the katana was caught firmly between Lin Kuang's fingers, unable to advance another fraction of an inch.
Theoretically, catching a falling katana with two fingers should be impossible. However, that theory only applies to conflicts between two normal people. The gap between Lin Kuang and Sato Ichiro was simply too vast. It was like comparing a firefly to the bright moon—there was no comparison at all. It was precisely for this reason that Lin Kuang could accomplish such a feat.
Sato Ichiro stared dumbfounded at his katana, now held fast by Lin Kuang's fingers, his eyes wide with disbelief. In his mind, something like this should never have been able to happen. But the reality was right before his eyes, forcing him to accept it.
"How... how is this possible?" Sato Ichiro stammered.
"Nothing in this world is impossible," Lin Kuang said with complete composure, looking at the stunned man. "There are only things you can't imagine, not things that cannot be done. If you're shocked and amazed, I can only say your perspective is too narrow, like a frog at the bottom of a well."
His words snapped Sato Ichiro back to his senses. His face flushed red with shame and rage, his eyes burning with intense fury.
"A frog at the bottom of a well? Damn Chinaman, you're the frog at the bottom of a well!" Sato Ichiro roared, pressing down hard on his katana.
But Lin Kuang's two fingers were like the world's strongest iron clamp. He couldn't budge them at all.
"Alright, I don't have time to waste on you. Let's end this," Lin Kuang said indifferently.
The next moment, a faint light bloomed from his fingertips.
CRACK!
A sharp sound suddenly rang out. The blade of Sato Ichiro's katana had snapped clean off, leaving him holding nothing but the hilt.
Seeing this, Sato Ichiro was completely dumbstruck. It was only then that he truly understood. He really was the frog at the bottom of the well. The gap between them was just too vast.
Lin Kuang casually tossed the broken blade to the ground. Then, he lashed out with a kick, viciously striking Sato Ichiro in the abdomen.
THUD!
With a second loud thud, Sato Ichiro's body flew back four or five meters before crashing heavily to the ground.
Sato Ichiro's face was deathly pale. He coughed up blood continuously, his eyes saturated with pure fear.
