Unrivaled Soldier in the City-Chapter 298 Action Tomorrow
"Ruoxi, you've recovered really well. Everything is just as it was when I was gone," Lin Kuang said with a smile as he released her hand.
At his words, a smile bloomed on Yang Ruoxi's face. After all, no one who could live a good life would ever choose to die.
"You jerk... thank you," Yang Ruoxi said earnestly, turning to face him.
Hearing this, Lin Kuang shrugged. "Words are so boring. How about some action?" he asked with a roguish smile, looking at her happy expression.
Yang Ruoxi's face flushed, but she took the initiative to step closer. She pressed her rosy lips against his and wrapped her arms gently around his body. This time, she didn't pull away after a brief touch but instead gave him a deep, lingering kiss.
Feeling this change in her, Lin Kuang's mood soared.
After the kiss, Yang Ruoxi leaned against his chest, her face scarlet, a faint warmth spreading through her heart. Lin Kuang simply held her quietly, savoring the rare, tender moment.
They embraced for a full half-hour before finally separating. Lin Kuang then said his goodbyes and returned to Liu Shilin's home.
When he arrived, it wasn't even nine o'clock. He found the Witch and Liu Shilin watching TV. After changing his clothes and taking a shower, Lin Kuang joined them on the sofa to chat.
It was after ten when he finally returned to his room, just as Liu Shilin went upstairs to rest. Back in his room, Lin Kuang glanced at his phone and saw a text from Fan Bingbing. He couldn't help but start chatting with her. She even sent him a few recent photos, which brought a smile to his face.
It was nearly midnight when they finally ended their conversation. Just then, the Witch, her face flushed, quietly snuck into his room.
"You're so late. If you hadn't shown up soon, I would've gone looking for you," Lin Kuang teased, looking at her blushing face.
"If I had come any earlier, my sister wouldn't have been asleep. What if she heard us?" the Witch retorted, sitting on the edge of the bed with a pout.
"Well, it's fine now. Let's get started. I've really missed my little Witch," Lin Kuang said, pulling her into his arms as his hands began to roam over her body.
In an instant, the Witch's pretty cheeks turned crimson. "As if! Who knows if you missed me or just my body," she said indignantly.
Her words made Lin Kuang pause. He looked into her beautiful eyes, which were watching him with a hint of anticipation, as if hoping for a satisfying answer.
After a moment's thought, Lin Kuang spoke with complete seriousness. "Both. But to be honest, I think I missed your body just a little bit more than I missed you."
He looked at the Witch frankly, without a hint of deception. Lin Kuang knew she wanted to hear that he missed *her*, not just her body, but he didn't want to lie.
Hearing his honest reply, a smile spread across the Witch's doll-like face. She could tell he was being sincere. She wasn't a fool; although she had wanted him to say he missed her for her, his honesty was more important. Besides, his answer still made her happy. Her body is part of her, after all. Conquering the man I like with my body is its own form of charm.
"At least you're honest," the Witch huffed, giving him a playful glare.
Lin Kuang breathed a silent sigh of relief. If she had gotten angry, he really wouldn't have known what to do. Fortunately, she wasn't upset.
"So, can we continue now?" he couldn't help but ask.
"Of course. And you have to make up for the last two days," the Witch said, her face blushing as she traced circles on his chest with her small hands.
"Is that so? Can you handle it?" Lin Kuang asked with a grin.
"Of course! Try me if you don't believe it!" she retorted with a hint of arrogance.
"Alright then, as you wish!" Lin Kuang agreed with a mischievous grin.
「Xiangya Club」
Meanwhile, Chu Zhongtian and Han Qiaoqiao's own intimate 'battle' had just ended.
Han Qiaoqiao lay obediently in Chu Zhongtian's arms, her face flushed, gazing at him with a sultry expression. But deep down, she was dissatisfied with him. Chu Zhongtian was always too quick, leaving her wanting more. However, to land a big fish like him, she had no choice but to endure it.
"Young Master Chu, I heard Lin Kuang is back. When are we going to make our move?" Han Qiaoqiao asked seductively, her hand caressing his chest.
"Tomorrow night," Chu Zhongtian said, his own hand stroking her body. "The Wang, Huang, and Zhao Families have been having a rough time lately. Their stocks have been fluctuating wildly, leaving the three of them completely overwhelmed. I reckon even by tomorrow, they'll be too busy to interfere. Honestly, I don't really want to get rid of Lin Kuang so quickly. It means losing a fun opponent. It's just that he's getting out of control. I have no choice but to eliminate him," he finished with a touch of resignation.
"Young Master Chu, how could that guy ever be your opponent? He's not on your level at all," Han Qiaoqiao immediately cooed, flattering him.
Chu Zhongtian just shook his head and smiled. He knew she was just sucking up to him. Deep down, he was aware that he truly couldn't handle Lin Kuang—otherwise, he wouldn't be hiring someone to kill him.
"Alright, I get it. You just want Lin Kuang dead," he said dismissively. "Don't worry. We'll make our move tomorrow night. This time, he's a dead man, unless he's a god." A cold glint flashed in his eyes as he spoke.
Han Qiaoqiao's heart leaped with joy. She had always wanted to eliminate Lin Kuang, and now it seemed her wish was about to come true. The thought of Lin Kuang being killed sent a wave of inexplicable pleasure through her, and she pressed her body against Chu Zhongtian's once more.
「The night passed uneventfully.」
At a little after four in the morning, the Witch darted back to her room, full of energy. Lin Kuang, meanwhile, rested a while longer before getting up to wash up and head to Yang Ruoxi's house.
