Unrivaled Martial Emperor-Chapter 1626 - Trap
“Damn it, Ye Xun!”
Ling Fei flew into a rage.
“He even sent a message,” the disciple added grimly. “He said that if we want to track him, we should send someone competent. Sending trash was insulting to him.”
“Damn it!” Ling Fei roared. He clenched his fist and threw out a punch violently to the side, causing a large pocket of air to collapse, forming a terrifying scene.
“Brother Ling, what is going on here?” Chen Fan asked.
“Huff.” Ling Fei exhaled in anger, calming himself slightly, and explained, “Ye Xun was once a fellow disciple, but he committed serious crimes outside. The sect elders didn’t sentence him to death, as he was a disciple of our sect, and only detained him within the Heavenly Prison. Instead of repenting, he became even more savage after entering the Heavenly Prison. He specializes in ambushing sect disciples. I recently learned he had slipped into our territory, so I sent someone to monitor him. Fengyu... was killed.”
Ling Fei grew angrier as he explained.
“Then death is already mercy.” Chen Fan nodded. Killing intent flickered in his eyes.
“Summon everyone,” Ling Fei said through clenched teeth. “I’ll act personally. Today, I will capture him myself. That beast doesn’t deserve a clean death. I’ll carve him apart until his last breath.”
Ling Fei’s anger surged. His fury burned so fiercely it felt tangible.
“Brother, Ye Xun is cunning and vicious. I wonder if you’d lend me your strength?” Ling Fei asked Chen Fan.
“Of course, no problem.”
Soon, Chen Fan learned some information about Ye Xun.
Ye Xun had once been a famous genius of the Featherlight Sect. Whatever crimes he committed were severe enough to land him in the Heavenly Prison. Afterward, he spiraled out of control, hunting sect disciples for their immortal stones. Over a little more than ten years, numerous sect prodigies had died at his hands.
His cultivation soared under his continuous slaughter, his temperament growing more cruel by the day.
When everybody arrived, Ling Fei addressed them, “I’ll take him down myself. You’ll support me.”
“Mmm.” The crowd nodded one after another.
Obviously, they understood how ferocious Ye Xun was. In terms of strength, Fengyu was incredibly powerful among them, but he still met a tragic end in Ye Xun’s hands all the same.
They wouldn’t dare wander around recklessly if such a ferocious figure wasn’t eliminated, effectively putting a stop to their training.
“Let’s go.” Ling Fei ordered the group to set off. “Once we capture that beast and kill him, we’ll receive a large amount of contribution points, allowing us to train inside here longer.”
The mobilization didn’t go unnoticed.
“What is the Featherlight Sect doing, storming out in such a grand manner?”
“I just received news that Ye Xun appeared in the vicinity. Zhao Fengyu was tasked with keeping watch over him but was killed. He even decapitated Zhao Fengyu and delivered his head to the garrison mansion.”
“Hoho, so that’s what happened. No wonder Ling Fei and the others are so furious. They must be on their way to subdue Ye Xun.”
“Hah. Sect disciples killing sect disciples. Let them tear each other apart.”
The onlookers watched with amusement. Ye Xun, after all, was once one of Featherlight Sect’s own.
Chen Fan followed Ling Fei’s group out of the city, heading to the location where Zhao Fengyu had met his end. Fresh blood still stained the ground.
Beasts had already devoured the headless corpse. Not even bones remained. Only scattered traces hinted that someone had died here.
“Damn it!” Tears welled up in Ling Fei’s fierce eyes. “Ye Xun, you damned beast, I’ll tear you into pieces even if I have to chase you to the ends of the world!”
Suddenly, an arrogant laughter came from the void.
“Hahaha, Ling Fei, you don’t need to chase all the way to the end of the world. I’ll give you an opportunity right now!”
A massive law hand smashed down from above, aiming to crush the group.
Boom!
The group spread out to dodge. The large hand slammed into the ground, creating a huge crater.
“Ye Xun!” Ling Fei roared furiously. 𝒻𝑟ℯℯ𝑤𝑒𝑏𝑛𝘰𝓋𝑒𝓁.𝒸𝑜𝘮
A figure stepped out of the void. He wore long black robes. His face was pale and sickly, his eyes gray-black and eerie.
“Hehe, Ling Fei, come to think of it, I should call you senior brother.” Ye Xun chuckled and said, “It’s a shame you’ve come to kill me. How disappointing.”
“You’ve crossed every line,” Ling Fei said coldly. “Anyone has the right to execute you.”
Chen Fan scanned the surroundings. Ye Xun had actually waited at the crime scene. His audacity was absurd, but also telling. This man had never survived by recklessness alone.
“You’re quite the audacious guy!” Ling Fei said coldly, “You clearly knew that we would come to investigate, and you still dared to wait here. You’re really asking for death.”
“Of course. I’ve always been bold, hahaha!” Ye Xun laughed out loud, “Ling Fei, I thought you were smarter than this. Turns out I overestimated you. Those people are inept, idiots, and a waste of the sect’s resources. If I had consumed those resources instead, I’d already be king by now. The sect is rotten, filled with fools like you. Do you really think I’d be standing here without confidence?”
“No matter what tricks you have, you won’t escape today,” Ling Fei snapped. Law power surged, locking tightly onto Ye Xun.
Suddenly, about a dozen powerful figures appeared in the sky, each of them wrapped in countless laws, looking formidable and terrifying.
These people shared a feature: a simple seal etched on their foreheads. It was unknown how long it had been there, but that seal indicated that they were imprisoned here.
As expected! Chen Fan remarked inwardly when he saw them.
Ye Xun wouldn’t have waited here without preparation.
